the rose in the storm
I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen,
Then wrote down:
Dear Eden,
It's going bad again—
The things I cannot contain.
It's suffocating!
All this aching
Makes me want to drink champagne.
Hey, Eden,
I heard the sun shines bright there
And it has fresh air.
May I tread where sunlight dances?
Here, my rose petals withers.
Rain's relentless sting
Leaves my being wincing.
Hey, Eden,
As storm clouds part,
I hope for a brand new start
