What would have happened if Five never timed traveled to the future? That was a question that will never leave the boy's head and that he would never get the answer to. All he knew was that he regretted it greatly.

Five was conscious that his powers were unstable. After all, Reginald never got to teach him how to master his abilities in order to exploit them to his full potential. All that the boy knew was that regardless of this he was willing to try whatever it took to keep Cassie and his family safe.

The moment Five suggested to his siblings and Cassie to go back in time to avoid the apocalypse he wasn't completely sure how this would work, but it definitely was worth trying rather than getting crushed by a giant chunk of the moon.

Luckily the boy succeeded at escaping only seconds before the giant rock hit the atmosphere.

In a matter of seconds, Five fell into a puddle in the middle of an alleyway as he was thrown out of the time-traveling portal he had opened. The boy was disconcerted from the fall but tried to gain composure as he attempted to stand up but struggled to do so because of the portal above him that was emitting too much strength.

As the boy got on his feet he turned around facing the portal that was still open over his head but no one else came out of it. Five knew that he had gotten his siblings and Cassie out of the 2019 apocalypse, the only issue was that he didn't know where they were. If everything had worked right they should be arriving with him but Five knew that the chances of something going wrong were very high considering he never tried time traveling through a portal with more than 2 people.

"Cassie!" The boy yelled hoping for the girl to appear out of the portal but nothing happened. "Luther! Diego!" He began to yell for his siblings when suddenly the portal closed off.

Five stood in shock for a few seconds the realization that he was by himself hitting him like a brick when suddenly he started hearing explosions and multiple weapons being fired a very close distance to him. The boy turned around concerned at what was happening and was quick to notice the all-out war that was happening just outside the alleyway he was standing in. In utter disbelief but also curious Five began to walk outside the alleyway trying to get a better look at what was happening.

The moment Five stepped foot into the streets he noticed a Soviet Union soldier running into American troops as he was shot dead while holding his flag. The more Five looked around the more confused and concerned he became, there were tanks in the streets and soldiers attacking each other. The sky was grey and aircrafts flew by dropping missiles onto building in the distance. Whatever was going on Five knew it wasn't good.

Midst all the chaos Five was able to spot a newspaper in the ground covered by dirt and rubble. The boy quickly approached it wanting to get a better look in hopes of finding answers and he kneeled down holding the paper and tried to uncover the headline.

"Soviets attack the U.S.?" Five read to himself completely in disbelief. He didn't recall an event like this ever happening, and he had done his fair share of historic reading.

Five stood up and began to walk forward at a much faster pace as his blood was running cold. "No, this can't be right." The boy said trying to take in the destruction surrounding him. "What the hell did we do now?" Five said worried as he shook his head knowing that maybe he had ruined the timeline by time traveling back in time with his siblings.

Out of nowhere, the boy heard a loud banging noise next to his ear and he fell to the ground from the shock wave not being able to hear anything other than a high-pitched ringing noise. Turns out that the tank that was behind him had fired a missile with him standing extremely close by.

As the ringing noise began to slowly fade away Five looked up from the ground and to his surprise, he saw Vanya levitating in the air. She was glowing white as the tank's missile was about to hit her but she extend her arms completely destroyed it using her powers. Five looked at Vanya completely astounded and attempted to get up, last time he saw Vanya using her powers she destroyed the moon so he was surprised to notice she was somewhat in control of them of her power.

At that moment Five realized that if Vanya was here it was very likely the rest of his siblings were too. So he looked around and was able to spot Klaus using his powers to summon the spirits of the deceased to fight off the soldiers that approached the area. Suddenly a nearby enemy soldier saw Klaus using his powers and tried to shoot him down with his bazooka but just before he fired Luther jumped down from a building standing in front of his brother getting hit by the projectile instead while screaming out his lungs. Luckily he was completely unharmed.

Screaming began to fill the streets as Ben's ghost, who was standing on top of a building, used his powers to summon the eldritch tentacles holding a bunch of soldiers in the air and ripping them apart as if they were napkins. While all of this was happening Allison was using her powers to make the soldiers' brains literally explode from their skulls.

At this moment Five realized that his siblings needed his help so he began to stand up ready to fight alongside his family. He looked to his side and noticed Diego who was on top of a tipped-over vehicle and had around 10 soldiers surrounding him. The soldiers all began to shoot at the same time but Diego jumped from the car dodging every bullet and redirecting them to hit each of the soldiers instead of him.

Once with his feet on the ground, Diego looked over at Five who was now standing ready to put up a fight. "Five! You sick son a bitch, where the hell have you been?" Diego yelled at his brother.

"I thought you would never come!" Cassie yelled from a distance as she agilely escaped some soldiers and used her powers to snap their necks in half if anyone got near her or tried to shoot her.

"Cassie?" Five said looking over at the girl getting ready to space jump towards her to help her fight the soldiers but before he could do anything he felt someone's hand on his shoulder.

As Five looked to his side to meet the person who had stopped him he was met with no other than an older version of Hazel. This completely threw Five off.

"If you want to live, come with me," Hazel said to the boy holding onto a briefcase. He was trying to help Five.

"Hazel. What the hell is going on here?" Five said completely on edge.

"There's no time to explain," Hazel said to the boy calmly and looked at the sky pointing at some missiles in the sky. "Those are nukes, old-timer."

"What about Cassie and my family?" Five said worriedly.

"You can't save 'em if you're dead," Hazel stated simply.

Five looked at Hazel in shock and then look to his side towards his family and the girl he promised to never abandon. Cassie looked back at Five from a distance with a worried look plastered on her face she had also seen the nukes coming and she knew that there was no escaping this time. Her expression of realization that it was the end for her completely tore Five's heart out.

Without hesitation, Five turned to look at Hazel and held his hand as the two teleported away. Five knew that Hazel was right, he couldn't help his family and Cassie if he was dead so he needed to go back in time with Hazel and figure out what went wrong.

The boy was doing this for Cassie and his family.

The next thing Five knew was that he was standing in the very same street from before but this time everything seemed normal. The sun was out and shinning and people just walked by going about their day.

"Okay..." Five said looking around as he tried to regain composure from almost dying again. "What the hell was that?" The boy asked Hazel a little on edge.

"The end of the world, November 25th, 1963." Hazel explained.

"Sixty-three...?" Five said confused as he watched the people walk past him minding their own business and let out a nervous chuckle. "You know, Hazel, I'm no history buff, but I don't recall there being a nuclear holocaust." The boy said still looking around a little paranoid.

"No shit." Hazel said sarcastically.

"What about Cassie and my family?" Five asked concerned about what had happened before he traveled with Hazel to whenever he was now.

"Dead, like everyone else." Hazel said looking at the boy.

"And where am I now?" Five asked curiously. Surely there was something he could do about all of this.

"Dallas. Same street. Ten days earlier. Plenty of time to restore the timeline and save them." Hazel said walking towards the bench that was next to him and went to sit down.

Five began to pace back and forth before going to sit next to Hazel. 10 days wasn't really that much time considering his last attempt to stop the apocalypse but he was willing to try. "So where do we start?" The boy asked hoping to get some help since Hazel seemed to know more than he did.

"We? You're on your own pal. I'm just here to keep a promise to Agnes." Hazel said with a bit of sadness in his tone.

"Is she...?" Five asked already getting a hint of what had happened.

"Dead?" Hazel said completing Five's sentence before he could say anything.

"Yeah." Five said confirming that he wanted to ask that.

"Cancer. Took her quick. But we had 20 good years together. I guess forever just wasn't in the cards." Hazel explained to the boy next to him.

Five listened to Hazel's words as they hit hit him where it stung. Before everything went to shit the boy was hoping to spend time giving his relationship with Cassid a chance but it seems like that wasn't in his cards either, somehow he had lost her and now he had to focus on stopping a second apocalypse.

"I'm sorry Hazel." Five said quietly and decided to quickly change the subject. "What about the commission?" The boy asked

"I quit those assholes, remember? I don't owe them the fuzz of my peaches" Hazel responded laying his arm on top of the briefcase that was separating him and Five,

The boy looked forward and suddenly spotted 3 very peculiar men who caught his attention. Judging by the firearms in their hands Five was able to identify they were up to no good. "Well then, who the hell are those guys?" Five asked standing up trying to get a better view but they aimed their weapons toward him and Hazel.

"Run!" Hazel yelled at Five putting something into the boy's pocket and handed him the briefcase for him to take.

As they began to shoot Five spatial jumped with the briefcase using it as a shield to avoid getting hit by the bullets. Unfortunately, Hazel didn't have the same luck and was shot dead.

The three men approached Hazel's body and looked around searching for the boy as the people in the streets screamed and run away from the scene.

Five hid behind a car breathing heavily from the adrenaline. He looked down at the briefcase Hazel had given him and noticed it was smoking completely destroyed from the bullets. "How many times did I say bulletproof briefcases?" The boy said to himself recalling his time at the commission.

Suddenly the boy heard someone whistle as if they were trying to get someone's attention and he realized his spot was compromised due to the smoke. He peaked his head over the car just a little and had eye contact with one of the men who was already approaching him.

Suddenly, they began to shoot at him again and Five quickly let go of the briefcase and spatial jumped once more but this time somewhere they wouldn't find him. Now laying on the roof of the building that was next to him Five tried to regain his breath. He knew those men had been sent by the commission in order to eliminate him so he couldn't help but wonder if they were only just looking for him.

As the footsteps faded away Five stood up and space jumped towards the alleyway where the portal had opened before Hazel showed up. The boy took longer steps as he heard sirens approaching so he knew that the men that were trying to kill him were most likely gone by now.

Five looked up at the building by the end of the alleyway and noticed someone was watching him from a window but tried to his as soon as he looked up. That on its own was weird but the boy then noticed the number of different antennas on the roof and that became more suspicious. He realized that whoever had set up those was up to something.

Without any hesitation, Five approached the entrance and saw a sign that said 'Morty's Television and Radio. Shipping & Receiving." and before thinking it twice he spatial jumped inside the building and began to walk up the stairs to the last floor.

Five walked towards one of the doors and tried to peak through the small window before knocking, and almost instantly someone opened the door right next to him. It was almost as if they knew he was going to knock.

"What do you want?" The man who opened the door asked as he looked at the boy trying to act unfazed.

"Hi, I'm selling encyclopedias for my youth group. I was curious if—" Five began to say clearly lying but to his surprise, the man closed the door on his face. Huge mistake.

The boy took a step forward and space jumped into the man's apartment. The noise from the jump was enough for the man to realize something was wrong.  The man turned around and let out a scream as he saw the boy standing inside his apartment and began to look for a weapon completely scared. The only thing he was able to find was a tiny knife.

Five looked at the man who was in a complete state of panic but he kept a cold expression on his face. He somehow found the man's reaction somewhat amusing but figure out he was harmless so he began to walk forward and look around the room.

"How'd you do that?" The man asked looking at the boy trying to act tough. He didn't understand how the kid was able to teleport into his apartment.

"Don't really have time to explain." Five said simply.

"You from the pentagon? Huh?" The man began to ask very skeptical of this situation.

"Definitely not." Five said firmly but the man began to talk asking him more.

"CIA? FBI? KGB?" The man kept asking but the boy ignored him completely.

"Is that fresh?" Five asked space jumping next to the kitchen table grabbing the coffee brewer and a mug.

The man screamed as he saw the boy teleport right in front of his eyes like it was nothing and became terrified to get anywhere near him but still held his knife up.

Five poured himself some coffee and walked outside the kitchen walking past the man as if this was his house and took a sip from the mug while taking in his surroundings. "Hmm. This Colombian?" Five asked as he savored the coffee in his mouth. For the first time in a while, he had gotten his hands into some decent coffee.

"It's my own blend" The man responded looking to the kitchen table and then back to the boy.

Five looked at the new room he was in and was able to notice the amount of articles pinned to the wall about aliens and how this man was using his equipment to do his own investigation about it. So Five figured he should take that to his advantage.

"You ever heard of, uh, Area 51? Roswell?" Five asked walking around the room trying to gain the man's attention.

The man looked at Five in shock for a second but then began to chortle as he moved around in disbelief and threw the knife to his desk. "Hot damn!" He said in a celebratory way. "Whoo! See, I always knew we weren't the only ones. See, Eleanor thought my head wasn't screwed on tight but... but it's all true, yeah? UFO's crop circles..." The man began to talk excitedly.

"Well, the truth is out there." Five said very vaguely knowing he had the man's full attention now but for the wrong reasons. This crazy man thought he was an alien.

"No, no, no, no, no. The... The truth, it's... right here in front of us." The man said walking towards Five as the boy took a step back a little defensively. "Tell me, why is it always an anal probe?"

"Any closer, and I'll melt your brain." Five threatened as he glared at the man in front of him.

"He needs a little space. Yes. I'll be over here." The man said taking a step back scared that the threat was real.

"All those contraptions on the roof, you built those, right?" Five said walking towards the desk to place his mug down and analyze the walls.

"Oh, yeah, yeah, sure did." The man replied proudly. "Yeah, I've been tracking anomalies in... in the atmosphere. Just waiting." He explained looking at the boy.

"Waiting for what?" Five asked raising an eyebrow and turning around to look at the man.

"For you." The man said simply and Five stared at him confused. "For all of you... it all started in 1960, the year the Silvertone Omega was released. I was in the middle of a sale when something very... strange happened. There was a sort of energy field in the sky. So, in the past 3 years, I've witnessed 6 energy surges in that alleyway out back. Same thing every time. A bright blue light, then something appeared." The man explained and Five was quick to figure out what was that all about.

"Did you get a good look at any of them?" Five asked knowing it had to be his siblings and Cassie. It all just tied together.

"Yeah, the first one. And then the big, sensitive one."

"Sensitive?"

"Yeah, cried a lot, kept coming back to the alley, sat around for hours calling a woman's name. Uh..." The man said trying to remember when it suddenly hit him. "Allison!"

"Luther..." Five said quietly realizing the man had been talking about Number One all along.

"Yeah, he... he wasn't the only one. Uh, the others same too, off and on over the years, looking for each other. There was a girl she came back very often at least for her first month, this was almost 6 months ago but all of a sudden she stopped coming back." The man said and Five knew he was talking about Cassie.

"So, they are alive." Five said slightly relieved as he saw the pictures the man had captured of his siblings and Cassie. "Shit. I think I stranded them here." The boy said as he analyzed the pictures but one of them stood up to him the most, it was a picture of Cassie with some random boy standing next to her and they seemed to be talking to each other.

Five stared at the picture and couldn't help but feel jealous. Only a few days prior he had confessed his feelings towards the girl but he realized it has been a lot longer for her now. The boy tried to brush his jealousy off realizing his focus should be on finding his siblings and Cassie. So he turned around looking at the man needing more answers and a bit of help.

"Now, listen to me..." The boy said walking towards the man quickly completely freaking him out.

"El-Elliot. My name... My name's Elliot." The man said backing away still scared of Five and flinched as he saw the boy teleport once again less than a foot away. Consequently to his Elliot managed to hit himself on accident with the lamp on his desk.

"Whatever, all right? I got ten days to find them and save the world." Five said raising his voice as he looked at Elliot trying to demonstrate how urgent this was. "Now, I need your help to do that."

"You need... my..." Elliot stammered nervously. "You know what? I, uh... I always thought that this, uh, mugshot looked like arrival number five." The man said taking out a newspaper from the drawer on his desk and showing it to the boy.

"Diego." Five said softly as he also recognized his brother.

"So then, that's helpful?" Elliot asked.

"You have no idea." Five said folding the piece of paper and began to walk away before spatial jumping outside the building leaving Elliot alone.

Now outside the building, Five took the paper out of his pocket and read the article that said 'Disturbed man with multiple knives arrested outside 1026 N Beckley'. Apparently, they have sent him into a mental asylum so Five figured it should be easy to find him.

Five walked outside the alleyways at a very fast pace not knowing exactly where to go but he was hoping to find someone who would give him directions when suddenly he ran into someone and quickly grabbed onto their arm before they fell to the ground.

"Sorry... I..." Five said looking down at the person who he had run into and he felt his heart sink when he realized who it was.

It was Cassie.
