"I'm tired" whinned Furihata as he slumped forward as the four freshmen walked towards the gym after a tiring day of school.
"School did not help at all..." sighed Kawahara yawning.
"Will there be practice today or just the report of last night?" asked Fukuda.
"Probably just talking and planning" admitted Kagami. "I don't mind though. Last night was tiring and I want to sleep before next night"
"You're the one going for a whole week" said Furihata.
"How do you survive?" asked Fukuda.
"I guess the games makes me sleep like a rock" shurgged Kagami. "And I'm not new at getting less sleep before things"
"Yeah, like when having matched in basketball" said Kawahara remembering that Kagami always was to excited before matches with the club.
"Tsk" just said Kagami and they arrived to the gym.
"We're here!" called Kawahara opening the door.
"Eh?" asked the freshmen seeing the upperclassmen around a desk where Izuki sat with a laptop.
"What's going on?" asked Furihata.
"No idea" said Kagami.
The four walked over to the team and looked at the laptop screen.
They had up multiple tabs with different articles and websites.
"Articles?" voiced Fukuda making the others turn.
"Oh, you're here" said Riko.
"So!" grinned Koganei to them.
"How's the place?" asked Kiyoshi.
"Terrifying!" answered the three freshmen immidiently.
"How come?" asked Hyuuga raising an eyebrow.
"The Murasakibara animatronic chased us and challenged us to a match!" yelled Fukuda.
"It chased after me!" yelled Kawahara. "It was terrifying!"
"And we were close to loosing against it!" yelled Furihata. "It took all four of us to win against that one animatronic!"
"Eh?" said the second years raising an eyebrow at their reaction.
Mitobe did some movements and Koganei turned to translate.
"So you mean the place is haunted?" translated Koganei raising an eyebrow.
"Hell yeah it is!" they yelled.
Riko just snickered.
"That wouldn't actually suprise me..." muttered Izuki and turned from the laptop.
"Heh?" said everyone at him.
"What do you mean?" asked Kagami leaning forward.
"This article" said Izuki showing them all the site. "It says that six boys disappeared one day some years ago at the location, never to be found"
Fukuda, Kawahara and Furihata shivered in fear and hugged eachother.
"I also found out about the incident Fukuda talked about" said Koganei and pointed to a tab on Izuki's laptop which he clicked. "It seems like Haizaki malfunctioned and killed a boy at the gym. The animatronic was taken away and it closed for a while from the public"
"What a history..." said Hyuuga scratching his neck.
"But the place is still the fun place" said Kiyoshi to light up the mood.
"Yeah..." nodded the others.
The freshmen looked between eachother and back at the others.
"But actually..." said Fukuda. "The animatronics are actually cool when they calm down"
"Yeah" nodded the other two.
"Because their great at basketball. That's why" grinned Kagami. "Can't wait for the next one!"
"Ha?" said the uppeclassmen.
"Yeah" nodded Furihata looking at them. "When you go, you'll probably go against one of them"
"And they're tough" said Fukuda.
"Really" nodded Kawahara.
"Sounds like fun!" grinned Kiyoshi.
"Then it's our turn to go tonight" said Riko.
"But one thing I wondered about the place..." said Fukuda.
"What is it?" asked Furihata.
"Where was Kuroko?" he asked.
"Yeah" nodded Kawahara. "It is called Kuroko no Basuke. He's supposed to be the main one, right?"
"He was before atleast" said Koganei and Mitobe nodded.
"Maybe he got outdated?" suggested Kawahara.
"Then why wouldn't they change the name?" asked Hyuuga.
"Maybe they wanted to hold on to the memories?" smiled Kiyoshi.
"They're a large bussiness" said Riko. "They wouldn't do that"
"I'll search it up" said Izuki and typed onto the laptop.
"Maybe he's damaged" said Kagami. "There was an extra, smaller stage with the sign saying 'Out of Service' infront"
"Extra stage?" asked Hyuuga. "When did that come?"
"Maybe when Kise arrived?" shurgged Kagami. "I don't know"
"Here it is!" said Izuki making everyone lean down.
Izuki sped read through the article and sat up.
"So?" said Riko.
"Kagami was right" said Izuki turning to them. "Kuroko's damaged, but that was years ago. For some reason they haven't been able to turn him on or something"
"What?" said everyone confused.
"They haven't fixed him?" asked Hyuuga.
"No they have" said Izuki shaking his head.
"Then why?" asked Koganei confused.
"Don't know" shrugged Izuki and turned bakck to the laptop.
He scrolled down and a picture of Kuroko smiling to children was shown.
"Brings back memories" smiled the others at the picture.
"I always loved Kuroko" said Koganei. "He was so gentle and special"
"Yeah" laughed Kyoshi cheerfully. "He's a one of a kind"
"He was the favorite of the whole team" said Hyuuga.
"He always cheered on and supported those about to give up" smiled Riko.
"While the others always played with those needing challenges and fun" nodded Fukuda.
"To bad Kuroko has been out" sighed Furihata.
"Yeah" nodded the others.
"Wait..." muttered Kagami gaining all their attention.
"Yes, Kagami?" said Riko.
Kagami turned to the other first years.
"Didn't Murasakibara say something about needing to recover someone?" he asked.
"Yeah..." nodded Fukuda.
"He did" nodded Furihata.
"I wonder what he meant" said Kawahara thinking.
"Kise said something similar on the first night" said Kagami. "I think he said he had a friend he needed to help, or something"
"Do they mean Kuroko?" asked Izuki.
"Probably" nodded Hyuuga.
"But what happened to Haizaki?" asked Koganei translating Mitobe.
"Don't know" said Izuki. "It just said he was taken away from public. That's probably when the new one came in, to take it's place"
"Alright!" suddenly beamed Riko making them jump. "Upperclassmen! We are to go there tonight and search for answers!"
"Eh" they said.
"You're telling us to ravage the place?" asked Koganei.
"No, just look around, of course" said Riko.
"This is getting exciting" grinned Kiyoshi. "Yosh! Let's do this!"
"Oh, come on" groaned Hyuuga shaking his head.
"Come on, Hyuuga!" said Koganei throwing an arm around his shoulders. "You want to check it out, don't you"
"I guess, but..." he said.
"Aren't you also curious about what happened there?" asked Izuki.
"Not really..." said Hyuuga.
"We're going eitherway!" smirked Riko.
Mitobe made some movements and Koganei nodded.
"I also want to check this Kise animatronic out" he nodded.
"Then we'll meet outside Kuroko's tonight!" beamed Riko.
"Yeah!" cheered the rest of the upperclassmen, except Hyuuga who shook his head with a sigh.
"You freshmen will rest tonight" said Riko.
"Thank god" sighed the three in relief.
"Good luck" said Furihata.
"You'll need it" nodded Fukuda.
"You too Kagami" said Kawahara. "Don't do anything stupid"
"Oi!" barked Kagami. "I was the one who saved you last night!"
"Yeah, yeah" nodded the three, spun around and walked out the gym.
Kagami huffed annoyed and turned to the others.
"Meet outside the building at 11.45 then" he said and yawned. "I'll be going to rest. I'm dead tired"
"See ya!" called Koganei.
Mitobe gave a smile and a wave.
"Rest well!" called Kiyoshi.
"Yeah" said Kagami and waved then left.
