(Camila)
"Books or music?"
"What?" Camila asked, her voice groggy as she squinted at the girl lying next to her. She had just woken up and her bedroom was engulfed in darkness. The only thing she could make out was a pair of familiar bright-green eyes that cut through the black.
"Books or music?" Lauren repeated as she moved to prop herself on her elbow.
Camila rubbed her eyes, still waking up as she fell back into the pillow to look at the ceiling. Lauren just kept on staring at her expectantly as she awaited an answer.
"Like if you had to live without one," Lauren clarified.
"I don't know," Camila mumbled as she stretched her arms, making an unusual sound as tension was relieved from her body.
"Come on," Lauren prodded, poking the girl in the side.
A grin met the dark-haired girl's lips when she noticed the way she squirmed in response to the contact. Camila was extremely ticklish.
"It's kind of a weird question," Camila began. "Books vs. Movies would make more sense..." she trailed off.
Lauren didn't even dignify her distracted ramblings with a response. She just kept on staring.
"Why can't I have both?" Camila asked, turning her head on the pillow to look up at Lauren.
"It's hypothetical, babe," Lauren replied. "Just pick one."
"Fine," Camila sighed. "Books."
"What?" Lauren questioned, crinkling her nose. "Damn it," she groaned as she fell back to lie next to Camila on her pillow.
"Music?" Camila corrected, laughing gently at the girl's response.
"That's what I thought you were going to say," Lauren explained. "Apparently I don't know as much about you as I thought. Which wasn't a lot to begin with," she pouted.
"I love music," Camila smiled as she turned to lie on her side, facing Lauren again. "But I love to read as well."
"What's your favorite book?" Lauren asked interestedly.
"I never really have a good answer for that," Camila admitted. "I usually just say whatever I read last."
"Which was?" Lauren questioned.
"I think," Camila paused, looking past Lauren as she tried to remember. "Oh right, To Kill A Mockingbird."
Lauren's face broke out into a wide smile, causing Camila to arch an eyebrow in confusion.
"I was actually in the middle of re-reading it when you knocked on my door that night," Camila remembered. "You interrupted me."
"I'm not sorry," Lauren grinned before leaning in to place a soft kiss on the girl's lips. "That's actually my favorite book as well," she added once their mouths separated.
"I always knew you had great taste," Camila joked, gesturing to her own body.
Lauren shook her head in response, but ultimately ending up leaning in to capture Camila's lips for another quick peck.
"Now you know one new thing about me," Camila smiled, stroking Lauren's forearm gently as it rested between them on the mattress.
"Actually," Lauren started as she moved to sit up. "Two things," she finished, now straddling Camila's hips.
"What?" Camila questioned, her breath hitching in response to the way the girl's green eyes had darkened in a familiar way.
"I know that To Kill A Mockingbird is your favorite book," Lauren explained, her voice deepening as she lowered herself and her breath hitting Camila's lips as their faces were now only inches apart. "And," she paused; locking eyes with Camila as she licked her own lips, "that you're ticklish."
"Lauren!" Camila shrieked as the dark-haired girl's hands found her sides. "Lauren, stop," she said as Lauren continued to move her fingers.
"Sorry, what was that?" Lauren asked as she moved one hand to Camila's stomach. "I can't understand you," she grinned.
"Please," Camila begged, the word barely making it out through the laughs and pants that escaped her mouth as she squirmed beneath the dark-haired girl.
"Please what? What's wrong Camz?" Lauren teased as she moved her hands higher.
"Laur," Camila shrieked, her cutting short of the girl's name not even intentional but rather a result of her continuing fit of giggles.
"Okay I'll stop," Lauren relented, although she kept moving her fingers. "On one condition though."
"Okay, yes, anything," Camila nodded, nearly out of breath at this point.
"Kiss me," Lauren smiled, finally slowing her movements.
Camila smiled back as she reached up quickly to grab onto the back of Lauren's neck, pulling herself up and crashing their lips together with a little more force than she intended.
"Ow," Lauren whined against Camila's mouth, bringing her fingers to her own once they separated.
"Sorry," Camila laughed as she leaned in to reconnect their lips, this time much more gently.
"Mm," Lauren hummed into the contact. "Much better," she smiled after Camila broke the kiss.
"Please don't tickle me every time you want a kiss," Camila said as she played with the baby hairs at back of Lauren's neck.
"But it's so fun," Lauren pouted as she leaned in to place a kiss on Camila's cheek before pulling them back down to the bed.
One of Camila's legs was still wrapped around Lauren's waist in their new position, and Lauren's hands had found the smooth skin of her back once again. At some point earlier in the night they had managed to re-dress themselves in their underwear, but that was as far as they had gotten. Camila surely wasn't complaining, though.
"What?" Camila asked softly when she met Lauren's thoughtful gaze.
"I like you," Lauren said seriously before smiling at her.
"I like you too," Camila laughed slightly.
"Kind of a lot," Lauren continued.
Camila responded by bringing another kiss to the girl's lips, butterflies swarming her stomach when she felt Lauren smile against her own.
"Even though I don't know much about you," Lauren sighed, her head sinking deeper into the pillow.
"You know more about me than you think," Camila replied. "You know things that matter."
"I know," Lauren smiled reassuringly, continuing the soothing movements of her fingers on Camila's back. "And I'm so glad you let me in," she added sincerely as she reached to rest one of her hands on Camila's cheek.
Camila let out a content sigh as she leaned into the contact.
"I just," Lauren started again. "I want to know everything about you. And even then I'm not sure it'd be enough."
"I'll tell you anything you want to know," Camila said as she rested her own hand on top of the one that was cradling her face.
"Anything?" Lauren asked.
"Anything," Camila nodded.
"What's your favorite position?" Lauren questioned seriously.
"I don't really play sports," Camila teased, shrugging her shoulders.
"Sex position, Camz," Lauren clarified.
"Seriously?" Camila groaned as she rolled her eyes.
"You did say anything," Lauren replied smugly.
"Okay," Camila sighed, a small smile creeping across her lips. "Well, I meant what I said earlier," she continued, her voice becoming huskier. "About the things you do with your mouth," she whispered just before moving her lips to Lauren's.
"Noted," Lauren grinned once Camila let her head fall back onto her side of the pillow.
"What's yours?" Camila asked, raising an eyebrow at the green-eyed girl.
"What?" Lauren questioned, although she'd clearly heard the question.
"I want to know what yours is," Camila replied. "Am I not allowed to ask too?"
"No, you are," Lauren smiled. She looked at for Camila for a few moments as if she were deep in thought before she finally opened her mouth to respond. "I kind of like it," she started, dropping the tone of her voice in the same way Camila had, "when you get behind me," she continued, whispering that last bit into the Camila's ear as she pulled their bodies closer together. Her hands had wandered to the curves below the brunette's waist and she was gripping the flesh there as she reconnected their lips- this kiss hungrier than the previous ones as she slid her tongue into Camila's mouth almost immediately.
Camila moaned into the kiss, reaching her hands to tangle in Lauren's hair as she kissed her back fully. Lauren's tongue traced around Camila's mouth a final time before she moved her lips to the girl's bottom one, sucking on it lightly before finally releasing it and separating their lips.
"Are you trying to get me to do that right now?" Camila asked, her breathing heavy as she looked into Lauren's eyes intensely. "First you tickle me to get me to kiss you, and now you pretend to want to learn more about me to get in my pants?"
"You're not wearing any pants," Lauren teased as she hooked a finger in the waistband of Camila's thong. "Not that I'd need any help getting into them if you were," she winked.
Camila shook her head at the dark-haired girl who leaned in to give her another quick kiss in response.
"I don't even know what your favorite color is," Lauren frowned once they were separately laid on Camila's pillow once again.
"Are you really not going to try to get in my pants?" Camila pouted.
"No, not right now," Lauren laughed. "So what's your favorite color?"
"Blue," Camila answered, faking an annoyed tone. "Although, recently I've really been liking the color green," she added as she focused in on Lauren's eyes.
"Smooth," Lauren grinned. "As much as I love your eyes I don't think my favorite color will ever be brown."
"Rude," Camila huffed. "What is your favorite color?"
"Right now?" Lauren asked. "Probably red. But it changes."
Camila nodded in response as she moved to brush a strand of hair out of Lauren's face. "So you like my eyes, hm?" She questioned as her lips formed a small smile.
"I love your eyes," Lauren corrected as she reached to intertwine her fingers with those on the hand that Camila had just dropped back to the bed. "I happen to think that brown eyes are extremely underappreciated."
"Interesting," Camila hummed. "No eyes compare to yours though," she continued sincerely. "I think they're my favorite thing about you."
Camila really did love Lauren's eyes. She thought it was fascinating how they were always changing based on her mood or what she was wearing. For example, right now they were bright and electric. They were green in color and her pupils were almost indistinguishable. They were always intense, but right now that intensity was mixed with a particular gentleness as she looked at Camila intently, hanging on her every word. That was what Camila loved about Lauren's eyes the most; they were a window to every emotion she was feeling. Lauren wore her heart on her sleeve. Or, well, in her eyes.
"Either your eyes or your butt," Camila grinned.
"Thanks," Lauren laughed, rolling her eyes but unable to suppress a smile from taking over her face. "My favorite thing about you is your smile," she confessed as she lifted her fingertips to graze Camila's lips gently.
"Not my butt?" Camila teased.
"That's good too," Lauren agreed. "But no, definitely your smile," she confirmed as she watched Camila's mouth form into one.
"I guess you're in luck then, because I can't seem to stop smiling when I'm around you," Camila pointed out.
"Lucky me," Lauren smiled as she wiggled her eyebrows playfully.
"What's your favorite movie?" Camila quizzed, looking to continue their back-and-forth of questions.
"Probably The Breakfast Club," Lauren answered.
"I've never seen it," Camila admitted.
"What?!" Lauren exclaimed. "That is completely unacceptable. We're watching it."
"Right now?" Camila questioned.
"Well, no, it's kind of late," Lauren informed her as her eyes moved around the dark room.
"Do you want to go to bed?" Camila asked warily.
"No, not yet," Lauren said quickly, shaking her head against the pillow. "Do you?"
"No," Camila agreed happily.
"Good," Lauren nodded. "So since you have clearly missed out on one of the greatest films of all time, what's your favorite movie?"
"The Notebook," Camila replied simply.
"Seriously?" Lauren almost laughed. "I hardly pegged you as a hopeless romantic, Camz."
"Ouch," Camila joked, drawing a hand to her chest dramatically. "If only you knew you the way I think about you, I guess."
Lauren smiled in response and Camila smiled back when she noticed that the girl's cheeks had gone a little pink.
"I've seen it so many times," Camila confessed. "If we're going to make this work, you're just going to have to accept it into your life. I watched it so much in high school I'm surprised the disc didn't turn to dust. I even got my dad to watch it quite a few times," she continued.
Camila's expression quickly shifted once she realized she had mentioned her dad, and Lauren seemed to notice.
"You don't talk about your family much," Lauren said tentatively as she seemingly began to search Camila's eyes.
"Yeah, either do you," Camila shrugged.
"You've met my family, babe," Lauren contended. "And you never talk about yours."
Camila tore her eyes away from Lauren's, letting out a small sigh as she fell back onto her pillow so she was now looking up at the ceiling.
"Why is that?" Lauren asked softly.
"Are you sure you wouldn't rather know what my favorite food is? Or my favorite band?" Camila suggested.
"Pizza, and One Direction," Lauren smiled. "I don't want to push you, Camz. I'm just curious."
"Yeah, I know," Camila sighed. "It's okay, we can talk about it."
"Are you sure?" Lauren questioned.
Camila nodded, opening her arms to invite Lauren to take the space next to her. She quickly obliged, immediately curling up to her as she rested her head on her chest.
"As you know, my mom left when I was eight," Camila started, taking a deep breath. "So it's just my dad."
"No siblings?" Lauren interjected, her cheek vibrating against Camila's skin as she spoke.
"Nope," Camila responded. "Just my dad."
"What's he like?" Lauren asked as she nestled further into the girl, tightening her arms around her waist.
"Quiet. Distant. But he's a good man. I know he cares about me," Camila answered quietly. "He's done a lot for me, especially after my mom abandoned us. He had to be both the mom and the dad, you know?" She paused to take another deep breath. "I remember him being different before that though. He used to be so playful, energetic, and funny- like, hilarious," she added, smiling a bit. "My mom leaving really affected the both of us. That's when he started to become quiet and distant. And it only got worse when he found out I was gay," Camila admitted.
Lauren hugged herself into Camila closer upon hearing that, and Camila felt herself instantly relax. It was a little hard, thinking about her past. But having Lauren here helped. Knowing Lauren could be her future; that really helped.
"He was never cruel about it," Camila assured her. "Or even disapproving, really. I just don't think he really knew how to react."
Lauren nodded understandingly as she began to stoke Camila's side gently with her fingertips. They both just sat there like that for a moment, soaking everything in.
"Do you think you'll ever see your mom again?" Lauren finally questioned, breaking the comfortable silence.
"She hasn't made an attempt to even talk to me in the past ten years," Camila reminded her. "So no, I don't think I'll ever see her again."
"Do you want to?" Lauren asked.
"I wish I could say no," Camila answered, her voice becoming shaky. "She doesn't care about me, so I shouldn't care about her. But I do," she added barely about a whisper.
Lauren lifted her head from Camila's chest, sitting up so she could connect their eyes.
"You don't know that," Lauren contested softly.
"She left, Lauren," Camila replied, her eyes now glistening with restrained tears. "She left and I wasn't worth an explanation, or even a goodbye."
"Don't," Lauren pleaded softly as she reached to gently wipe away a tear from Camila's cheek that had finally escaped her eye. "You were worth it then, just like you're worth it now. You don't know why she left, but you can't blame yourself," she continued as she looked at Camila in a way that was filled with so much love it only made Camila's tears fall faster.
"If she knew even half of the incredible person you are now, she would be kicking herself for not trying to get to know you sooner," Lauren said sincerely as she continued to wipe at Camila's tear-stained cheeks. She brought her lips to the wet skin, soothing it with soft kisses. "It's not too late, you know," she added as Camila took a deep breath. "You could try to find her. You could talk to her; you could get the answers you want. I could help you-"
"No," Camila interjected, shaking her head softly. "I don't," she stuttered, her voice still unstable. "I don't think I'm ready for that."
"It's been ten years, Camila. Don't you-"
"Lauren," Camila interrupted again, a little more harshly this time.
"I'm sorry," Lauren said softly, looking at Camila apologetically. "I just hate to see you hurting like this."
"It's not your fault," Camila sighed, her expression softening. "If anything, you make things easier. I always feel better after I talk to you, really I do. So thank you for being here. For listening."
"I will always be here, Camz. And you can always talk to me," Lauren replied sincerely as she leaned in to kiss Camila's lips gently.
"Thank you," Camila whispered once their mouths separated. "Any more heavy questions?" She teased.
"Actually," Lauren started as she dropped her head back to Camila's chest, "yes."
"Well, go ahead," Camila urged, her tone much lighter now.
"Have you ever been in love?" Lauren asked bluntly as she began to draw small, mindless patterns on the soft skin of Camila's stomach.
"Yes," Camila answered immediately, not needed even a second to think about it.
"With Leah?" Lauren questioned knowingly, not sounding at all phased by the assumption.
Camila didn't respond, she just pressed her lips to the top of Lauren's head as she hugged the girl tighter. Lauren seemed to accept that as an answer, not pushing the topic any further as she relaxed into Camila's body.
But the truth was, it wasn't Leah Camila was referring to.
It was Lauren.
Camila was in love with Lauren.

(Lauren)
"Hungry?" Camila teased, her face breaking out into a look of amusement as the room filled with the sound of Lauren's rumbling stomach.
"Starving," Lauren replied, clutching at her belly. "Can we go get breakfast? Or is it lunchtime?" She questioned, unsure of how late exactly they had slept in.
"Uh, try dinner," Camila laughed as she sat up in her bed.
After waking up in the middle of the night, the two girls had stayed up talking into the morning. They had finally fallen back asleep around eight, but it was now already a little past five o'clock on that Saturday evening.
"It's Saturday," Lauren reminded the brunette sitting above her. "Want to order pizza?"
"Sure," Camila smiled, climbing over Lauren and setting foot on the ground where she began to pick up scattered clothing.
"You paid last time, so let me go get my grab my wallet," Lauren offered as she began to gather her own clothes before slipping them quickly onto her body.
"Okay," Camila agreed. "I'll order," she added, picking up her phone from the dock on her desk and dialing the number.
Lauren ran her fingers through her hair after slipping on her t-shirt, then made her way across Camila's room to walk out of the door.
"Anything but Hawaiian, Camz," Lauren begged jokingly just before disappearing into the hallway.
"Sorry! Couldn't hear you!" She heard Camila's voice call back.
Lauren shook her head, smiling as she made her way down the hall and back into her own dorm room. She was relieved, to say the least, when she found that Perrie wasn't there. She grabbed her wallet off of her desk and soon found herself back in Camila's room, forgetting to shut the door upon her re-entrance.
"Is The Breakfast Club on Netflix?" Camila asked, looking at the screen of the laptop that rested on her legs intently.
"Yeah, I think so but-"
"Hey Camren," A voice interrupted from the doorway.
Lauren quickly turned on her heels to see Dinah and Normani standing out in the hallway.
Camila gave Lauren a confused look in response to Dinah's use of 'Camren', but Lauren waved her hand at the girl in a "you don't wanna know" sort of way.
"Hi Dinah," Lauren sighed, smiling at the girl whose fingers were locked with those of her best friend. "Hey Mani."
"Hey Lo," Normani smiled before dropping Dinah's hand to move to give Lauren a hug.
"Hey," Dinah pouted, quickly reaching to take Normani's hand back.
"What are you guys doing here?" Lauren asked. "Not that I'm not happy to see you."
"I told her we were probably interrupting y'all getting freaky," Dinah defended.
"You didn't," Lauren said quickly. "We weren't."
"Mhm," Dinah hummed, wiggling her eyebrows.
"Camz, tell her we weren't," Lauren pleaded jokingly, but Camila just shrugged. "We were just about to eat," Lauren assured her teammates.
"We didn't ask for details," Dinah teased.
"Okay, enough," Normani laughed, shoving Dinah's shoulder playfully. "That's actually why we're here, we wanted to see if you two wanted to go grab dinner."
"Sorry, we just ordered pizza," Lauren informed her. Although she wasn't really sorry, she was enjoying all of the much-missed alone time she was getting with Camila.
"Pizza sounds perfect," Dinah grinned as she threw herself onto Camila's bed, pulling Normani with her.
Lauren definitely noticed how clingy the two had been lately. She made a mental note to bring that up later.
"We don't have enough," Lauren objected as she crossed her arms across her chest.
"What's your deal?" Dinah joked. "Are we interrupting something after all?"
"No," Lauren shrugged. "We did that earlier. Right where you're sitting, actually."
Lauren and Camila both laughed when Normani and Dinah quickly jumped up from Camila's bed.
"We do actually have enough though," Camila corrected from where she was now sitting in her desk chair. "You guys are more than welcome to stay."
Lauren widened her eyes at Camila, but the brunette just smiled.
"Thanks, Camila," Dinah smiled. "I think I'll just sit over here though," she added, pointing to Hailee's bed. "Hopefully flute girl doesn't mind."
"How are things going with her, by the way?" Normani asked, tentatively looking at Lauren after doing so.
"They're good," Camila answered simply. "Hailee's nice."
Lauren smiled at the Camila reassuringly as she sat down on her lap, a gesture that immediately received a smile from the brunette as she wrapped an arm around the green-eyed girl's waist.
"The flute playing doesn't drive you crazy?" Normani questioned in a surprised tone.
"She doesn't play it in here. I told her it was kind of annoying so she practices in one of the rooms in the music building now. Why didn't you ever ask her to do that?" Camila directed toward girl.
"Hm," Normani frowned. "I guess I never thought of that."
"Did you ever even say anything to her about it, Mani?" Dinah asked in an amused tone.
"Well, no," Normani replied honestly as she sank back into Dinah's arm that was draped around her.
"Always so passive-aggressive," Lauren laughed as she shook her head at her best friend.
"I don't like conflict," Normani shrugged.
"The only conflict we're going to have is if that pizza doesn't get here soon," Dinah groaned as she grabbed her stomach.
"Hope you like Hawaiian," Camila grinned.
"What? Oh hell no," Dinah pouted, sticking out her tongue in disgust.
---
"Admit it," Camila pressed, staring down Dinah. "Admit you like the pizza."
"Never," Dinah argued as she took another bite.
The four girls were sitting on Camila's floor, huddled around her laptop watching The Breakfast Club while they finished up the last few pieces of Hawaiian pizza.
"It was good," Normani smiled as she wiped her hands on a napkin, letting out a satisfied groan as she leaned against Dinah's shoulder.
"Do you want the rest of mine?" Dinah offered Normani.
"That's okay, I'm stuffed," Normani declined. "Thank you though," she smiled, leaning in to give the girl a quick kiss.
"Awh," Lauren cooed teasingly, bringing her hands together as she batted her eyelashes.
"Don't start," Dinah warned, narrowing her eyes at the girl.
"What?" Lauren asked innocently. "You guys are adorable. Aren't they adorable?" Lauren asked Camila, elbowing her gently.
"You are pretty cute," Camila agreed as she finished the last of her own slice of pizza.
"That's it," Dinah announced. "We got our free food, I think it's time to go," she joked as she stood up, pulling on Normani's arm in an attempt to get her to do the same.
Normani simply laughed and shook her head as she dragged the girl back to the floor.
"Seriously though," Lauren said as she ignored Dinah's glare. "Are you two dating?"
"Are you two dating?" Dinah questioned back, eyeing her and Camila who had their hands connected.
"I," Lauren stuttered. "I mean, I-"
"Don't dish it if you can't take it," Dinah teased, giving Lauren another challenging look.
"Weren't you just on your way out?" Lauren asked as she threw her pizza crust into the empty box, filling it with the other scattered napkins and plates before standing up.
"Yeah, that's what I thought," Dinah laughed as she stood up, helping Normani to her feet as well.
"I know I said I was full, but now I think I could really go for some ice cream," Normani noted once all four girls were on their feet. "Do you guys want to come?" She asked as she laced her fingers with Dinah's.
"No that's okay," Camila smiled as she slid next to Lauren, placing her hand on the small of her back.
"Did you just turn down dessert?" Lauren questioned, looking the brunette with a shocked expression.
"I said I didn't want ice cream. I want something else vanilla for dessert," Camila replied, winking at the dark-haired girl.
"Oh-kay we really gotta go," Dinah said quickly as she started to guide Normani to the door. "Hurry up Mani, I'm not trying to have a foursome."
"We'll see you guys later?" Normani laughed from the doorway.
"Sounds good, bye guys," Lauren smiled, offering them both a small wave as she watched them disappear down the hall. "What are you doing?" She directed toward Camila who was now standing by her dresser, gathering her keys and wallet.
"We're going to get dessert," Camila replied simply, as if it were obvious.
"I thought..." Lauren trailed off, furrowing her eyebrow in confusion.
"Oh, I'll have you later," Camila grinned before planting a kiss on Lauren's cheek.
"Where exactly are we going then?" Lauren asked.
"I want cookies," Camila informed her.
"So, the dining hall?" Lauren questioned, grabbing her own wallet before slipping on her flip-flops.
"I want to make cookies," Camila corrected.
"Okay, you lost me," Lauren frowned.
"There are those community kitchens on the third floor," Camila reminded her. "We just need to walk down the street to the store really quick."
"Okay..." Lauren chuckled, still giving the brunette a slightly confused look.
"What? Do you not like cookies?" Camila asked with a smile.
"No, I do," Lauren confirmed.
"Alright then, let's go," Camila grinned, reaching for Lauren's hand and pulling her out the door.
---
"I thought you said you wanted to make cookies?" Lauren teased as she watched Camila pick up some pre-packaged cookie dough.
"What do you mean?" Camila frowned as she dropped the package into the basket she was carrying.
"Like from scratch?" Lauren clarified.
"Oh God no," Camila laughed. "I can't cook, or bake, or any of that."
"Right," Lauren smiled, shaking her head. "Well better get two then so we can eat some of it raw," she winked.
"I knew I liked you," Camila replied as she followed Lauren down the aisle.
"Where are you going now?" Lauren asked when Camila turned to go in the opposite direction of the checkout lanes.
"I'm running low on bananas," Camila chimed over her shoulder as she made her way to the produce section.
"Anything else?" Lauren questioned once Camila had her bananas.
"Nope," Camila replied shortly, her face falling as she looked past Lauren.
Lauren raised an eyebrow in confusion in response to the girl's displeased tone, and Camila simply nodded over the girl's shoulder. Once Lauren turned around, she saw exactly what had disrupted Camila's mood. Just a few feet away were Zayn and Perrie. Perrie was picking through a stack of apples, but Zayn was looking in their direction. Lauren released an annoyed sigh as she intertwined her fingers with Camila and started toward them.
"Hey Lauren," Zayn grinned as the two girls tried to move past them. Lauren felt Camila's grip tighten on her hand when the boy completely ignored her presence.
"Hi Zayn," Lauren sighed. "Hey Perrie."
"Lauren," Perrie scoffed as she reached to latch onto Zayn's arm possessively.
"Well, nice talk," Lauren muttered as she started to pull away from the uncomfortable run-in.
"How've you been?" Zayn asked before she and Camila could get anywhere, his eyes still focused solely on Lauren.
"Fine," Lauren replied. "Actually," she corrected, "I've been great. Really, really great," she added, her eyes drifting down to where she held Camila's hand before meeting Zayn's again.
"So have we," Perrie interjected, visibly tightening her grip on Zayn's arm. "My boyfriend and I have been fantastic," she snarled. "Better than ever," she finished with a plastic grin.
"Okay..." Lauren mumbled awkwardly.
"It was nice seeing you two, but my girlfriend and I should really get going," Camila finally spoke before pulling Lauren away quickly.
Lauren felt her eyes visibly widen and her mouth fall agape as Camila dragged her toward the other side of the store. Had Camila just called Lauren her girlfriend?
That was new.
---
Lauren and Camila were now standing in the middle of one of the community kitchens on the third floor, leaning against the countertop as they listened to music and waited for the second batch of cookies they had in oven to finish baking.
"Thanks," Lauren laughed as Camila fed her a piece of cookie dough.
"Mhm," Camila mumbled happily before popping the last bit into her own mouth.
Lauren was on cloud nine. She had spent nearly the past twenty-four hours with Camila, and they had been some of the best they'd ever shared, in her opinion. After their talks both last night and early this morning, Lauren was feeling extremely secure with their relationship. Although, there was one thing she couldn't shake from her mind. At the store earlier, Camila had defined their relationship in a way neither of them had vocalized until this point. She had called Lauren her girlfriend. Camila hadn't brought it up afterward, and Lauren hadn't dared to. Part of her thought it might've slipped the girl's tongue on accident, and she didn't want to make things awkward. More than that though, she wasn't sure she wanted to know if it was an accident or not. She quite liked the sound of it, being Camila's girlfriend.
"You've been kind of quiet tonight," Camila hummed in Lauren's ear as she stood behind her, wrapping her arms around her waist.
"Have I?" Lauren asked innocently as she continued to transfer cookies from a baking sheet to a paper plate.
"You have," Camila replied, now resting her chin on Lauren's shoulder. "Are you okay?"
"More than okay," Lauren assured her, turning her head slightly to smile at the brunette.
"Okay," Camila smiled as she leaned in to give Lauren a quick kiss.
Lauren turned her attention back to the cookies, and a few moments later she felt Camila's lips exploring her neck.
"Camz," Lauren grinned as she felt the kisses growing hotter.
"Yes?" Camila mumbled as she pulled a little patch of Lauren's skin between her teeth teasingly.
"What are you doing?" Lauren asked as she picked up a cookie and took a bite of it.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" Camila teased as she leaned in to lick a bit of melted chocolate from the corner of Lauren's mouth.
Lauren squinted her eyes, feigning disgust as she gently pushed on Camila's cheek. "I know you're not trying to have sex with me in this kitchen," she answered.
"Well if that were the case, then you'd be wrong," Camila replied as she bent down to place another kiss on an exposed area of skin just off of Lauren's shoulder. "Because that's definitely what I'm trying to do."
"Uh, no," Lauren laughed, attempting to free herself from Camila's grasp. "Not here, babe."
"Laur," Camila whined, bringing her lips back to Lauren's neck as she tightened her grip on the girl's waist. "No one can see us," she whispered, unable to keep from smiling against Lauren's skin.
The community kitchen was closed-in by four walls. The door locked automatically, as you needed to borrow the key from the desk in the lobby in order to use it. And the large glass windows that served as the doors were frosted over everywhere but at the very top and bottom, making it nearly impossible to see in and out.
"Camz," Lauren said again, mocking Camila's tone.
"I just want to have sex with my incredibly beautiful girlfriend," Camila contested as she continued peppering Lauren's skin with kisses. "What's wrong with that?"
"What did you just say?" Lauren asked quickly, squirming out of Camila's grasp enough to turn around and face her.
"Happen to catch that earlier?" Camila questioned, an amused look on her face.
"I may have," Lauren replied seriously as she looked into Camila's eyes intently.
"And?" Camila asked.
"And what?" Lauren asked nervously as she stood still pinned between Camila and the kitchen counter.
"How do you feel about that?" Camila inquired.
"How do I feel about what?" Lauren probed, her eyes remaining focused.
"You know," Camila smiled as she tightened her grip on Lauren's waist.
"Say it," Lauren directed, attempting to suppress a smile.
"Say what, Laur?" Camila asked, tilting her head playfully.
"Camila," Lauren said shortly, still waiting for the girl to just come out and say it.
"How do you feel," Camila started again, "about being my girlfriend?"
"Are you asking?" Lauren challenged, unable to suppress that smile any longer.
"Seriously?" Camila groaned as she grinned back at Lauren.
"I'm waiting," Lauren smiled, her own grin so wide that her cheeks were beginning to ache.
"Why can't I think of a way to ask this that doesn't sound completely lame?" Camila wondered nervously as she swallowed hard, her confident disposition fading quickly.
"Just ask me," Lauren encouraged, reaching to lock her hands behind Camila's neck.
"Okay," Camila nodded, her smile returning. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
"No," Lauren replied, unable to hold back the laugh that soon left her lips.
"Lauren!" Camila scolded, furrowing her eyebrows.
"I'm kidding," Lauren grinned. "Yes, of course," she answered as she pulled Camila toward her to connect their lips. "Only on one condition though," she added when their mouths separated.
"What's that?" Camila asked.
"That you'll be mine as well," Lauren beamed.
"I guess I can do that," Camila smiled as she leaned in to kiss Lauren again.
"Good," Lauren mumbled against Camila's lips once she started to pull away again. "There might be one more though."
"So demanding," Camila teased.
"I think you'll like this one," Lauren replied as she pulled her bottom lip between her teeth. "It's something I want," she added.
"I'm listening," Camila encouraged.
"See, I really want to have sex with my incredibly beautiful girlfriend," Lauren continued. "In this kitchen."
"Yeah?" Camila asked.
"Yeah," Lauren nodded as Camila tightened her grip on Lauren's waist.
Before either of them could get another word, or even another breath out, their lips came crashing together, Lauren wasn't sure by whom. She moved her hands into Camila's hair as they began to kiss each other excitedly- a familiar frenzy of tongue, lips, and teeth. Camila's hands were soon sliding to the back of Lauren's thighs, squeezing them gently before lifting Lauren to sit on the edge of the kitchen counter.
Lauren moved her hands to the sides of Camila's face, tilting her jaw upward as she kept kissing the brunette. She frowned when after running her tongue along the girl's bottom lip she felt their mouths disconnect.
"What are you doing?" Lauren asked breathlessly as Camila stepped away.
"Our thing," Camila replied simply, smiling as she moved to where her iPod was sitting attached to a speaker on the other end of the counter. She scrolled through her library before selecting a song and then returning to her position between Lauren's legs.
"I feel hazy
Why is everything black and white?
I feel dizzy
Like my fucking head is full of dynamite
Jump in my Mercedes
But it isn't quite driving right"
"Why is it so loud?" Lauren questioned as she returned her hands to the back of Camila's neck.
"Because you are," Camila grinned. "I don't want us getting caught."
Lauren felt her cheeks go pink. She knew she had the tendency to make a few noises, but she didn't think she was that loud.
"I don't get it, I'm not drunk
A million people in the place and there you are
And I was like"
"Are you blushing?" Camila questioned, looking rather amused. "Don't be embarrassed. I like hearing you, baby," she added as she leaned up to bring her lips to Lauren's neck.
As if right on cue, Lauren let out a small moan when Camila sank her teeth into her soft flesh, soothing it with her tongue and an open-mouthed kiss immediately afterward.
"Camz," Lauren moaned, gripping at the brunette's back desperately.
"Hi my name is
Whatever you call me
So let's get undressed
Cause you look a little lonely
I'll make you scream, I'll make you laugh
Cover your body with my autograph
So let's get undressed
Cause I wanna see you naked"
"Fuck," Lauren hissed as she felt Camila's hand trail up the inside of her thigh, ultimately ending on her center, cupping it through her shorts.
Lauren felt a little helpless; being pinned on top of the counter and not really having access to any part of Camila's body other than her back in this position. But that, combined with the fact that they really could be caught any second, was just turning her on even more.
After a momentary struggle, Camila was able to slide Lauren's shorts off of her hips and pull them, along with her underwear, down to her ankles. She reached for the back of Lauren's neck; bringing their mouths together as her other hand nestled between the green-eyed girl's legs.
"I hear nothing
Except this beat, that never ends
Some girl talking
Sounds like fucking white noise in my head
Everything's bending
You're the only focus in my lens"
"You're so wet," Camila mumbled against Lauren's lips as her fingers began to circle Lauren's straining bundle of nerves.
Lauren whimpered as Camila pushed up her shirt, the girl's mouth soon finding itself enclosed around her nipple. Lauren silently thanked whatever had possessed her to not wear a bra that evening. Camila nipped at the girl's hardened nipple with her teeth before sucking on it gently and then moving to the other side to give it a similar treatment.
Lauren entangled her fingers in Camila's messy waves once more when she felt the girl start to leave open-mouthed kisses down her stomach.
"It was just another Friday night
Then I saw you it was stupid I was stupefied
Now I got you here
I'm unwrapping you slowly
Another button and some more of you is showing
And it all started with
Hi my name is, whatever you call me"
"Sit back, Laur," Camila directed, her eyes hungry as she looked up at the girl. She pulled lightly on Lauren's hips, guiding her closer to the edge of the counter. Lauren immediately followed direction, moving her hands behind her to support her body weight as she watched Camila begin covering the inside of her thighs with more kisses, licks, and bites.
"Camila," Lauren whined when she felt the girl's tongue finally swipe through her wet folds.
"Mm," Camila hummed, attaching her lips to Lauren's clit as she slid her hands up the girl's body to palm her breasts.
"God," Lauren panted in a mixture of pleasure and frustration as her head fell back.
Camila's tongue was now working intricate circles over Lauren's straining nub, occasionally stopping to attach her lips to it completely.
Lauren let out annoyed whimper when Camila suddenly removed her mouth from her core.
"Scoot up more, baby," Camila instructed again. "I need you closer," she explained as she leaned up to kiss Lauren. "So I can fuck you with my tongue," she whispered before beginning to kiss back down her body.
Lauren moved her hips as close to the counter's edge as she could without falling off, quickly putting her hands back behind her body to brace herself.
"You taste so good," Camila smiled, looking up at Lauren after swiping her tongue through her folds teasingly.
"Camila, please," Lauren begged, temporarily relieving one hand of supporting her body to lightly push on the back of Camila's head. At this point she was incredibly desperate for relief.
And apparently Camila couldn't wait any longer either, as she finally sank her long tongue into Lauren's throbbing core. Lauren's walls immediately tightened around the strong muscle, releasing a gush of wetness against it.
"Camz," Lauren whined, pushing her hips into the girl's face. "Yes, just like that."
Lauren felt a shockwave run through her body when Camila attached her fingertips to her bundle of nerves, doubling the already intense pleasure she was feeling. She didn't stand a chance at this rate.
Camila used the hand that wasn't attending to Lauren's clit to reach up and work Lauren's left breast between her fingertips, pinching her nipple lightly as she continued to work her mouth against the girl's center.
"Camila," Lauren moaned as she felt her legs begin to tremble. "I'm so close," she admitted.
Camila removed her mouth from Lauren's core and brought it to the dark-haired girl's lips, sliding two fingers inside of the girl to replace her tongue as she kissed Lauren fully.
"Come for me, baby," Camila mumbled as she moved her lips to Lauren's neck, continuing to move her fingers in and out of the girl's throbbing core.
"Fuck," Lauren hissed as Camila pushed her fingers deeper, hitting that spot. Lauren scratched at Camila's back through her shirt as she began to feel herself fall apart. "I'm coming," she whimpered, tightening around Camila's digits.
Camila quickly removed her fingers, causing Lauren to gasp. But the green-eyed girl only gasped louder when Camila slid back down her body, re-inserting her tongue into Lauren's core as she continued to come undone. Lauren released another gush of wetness against Camila's mouth as the brunette slowed her movements, helping the girl ride out her orgasm.
Camila slowly kissed back up Lauren's body, pulling her shirt back down before covering the girl's neck and face in sweet kisses as she continued to recover.
"I can't believe we did that," Lauren panted as she ran her fingers through her own hair.
Camila smiled in response, placing a kiss on her lips before helping her off of the counter. Once her feet were back on the ground, Camila bent down, pulling Lauren's shorts and underwear back up her legs.
When Lauren reached for the button of Camila's shorts, she pushed her hands away gently.
"You don't want me to?" Lauren asked, pouting a little.
"Later," Camila replied. "I trust you're good for it," she winked. "I'm kind of expecting you to stick around for a little while, you know, since you're my girlfriend now."
"Right," Lauren nodded as she leaned in to give Camila another soft kiss.
Girlfriend.
A/N: Once again I am pushing stuff to the next chapter because this one has gone incredibly long and I am tired. I'm not positive, but this might have been the longest chapter yet. Hope you liked it.
