So yay, this chapter is the first of a long and beautiful book... Yes, this does has Lily as the first part, but only because I thought it'd be easier to start with her first though. So......just read!
Lily and Severus had sat, cross-legged, facing each other on the ground. They were surrounded by thickets of trees and cool green grass. Lily was sporting a floral dress, with her hair running down the dress like a waterfall. Severus was an odd smock, instead of a usual coat. Take notice that it was early July.
"The Ministry can punish you if you do magic outside school, you get letters."
Lily looked scared. "But I have done magic outside school!"
"We're all right. We haven't got wands yet. They let you off when you're a kid and you can't help it. But once you're eleven," he nodded importantly, "and they start training you, then you've got to go careful."
There was a little silence. Lily had picked up a fallen twig and twirled it in the air, imagining sparks. Then she dropped the twig, leaned in toward Severus, and said, "It is real, isn't it? It's not a joke? Petunia says you're lying to me. Petunia says there isn't a Hogwarts. It is real, isn't it?"
"It's real for us," said Severus. "Not for her, but we'll get the letter, you and me."
"Really?" Whispered Lily. She was so hoping for it all to be real, and that Petunia was lying.
"Definitely," said Snape.
"And will it really come by owl?" Lily whispered.
"Normally, but you're Muggle-born, so someone from the school will have to come and explain to your parents."
"Does it make a difference, being Muggle-born?"
Severus hesitated. His black eyes eager in the greenish gloom, moved over the pale face, the dark red hair. "No" he said. "It doesn't make a difference."
"Good," said Lily, relaxing. It was clear she had been worrying.
"You've got loads of magic," Severus said, "I saw that. All the time I was watching you..." His voice trailed away; she was not listening, but had stretched out on the leafy ground and was looking up at the canopy of leaves overhead. He watched her as greedily as he watched her in the playground. Lily decided to ask a question.
"How are things at your house?" A little crease appeared between Severus' eyes.
"Fine."
"They're not arguing anymore?"
"Ohyes, they're arguing," He picked up a fistful of leaves and began tearing them apart, apparently unaware of what he was doing. Then a rustling noise was made behind the tree; Petunia was hiding behind a tree, and had lost her footing. Lily turned and smiled at her sister.
"Tuney!" Surprise and welcome was in her voice, but Severus jumped to his feet.
"Who's spying now," He cried, then he saw exactly who it was. "What d'you want?"
Petunia was breathless, alarmed at being caught. She tried to think of something horrible to say "What is that you're wearing anyway?" She pointed to his chest. "Your mum's blouse?"
There was a crack: a branch over Petunia's head had fallen. Lily screamed. The branch caught Petunia on the shoulder, and she staggered backward and burst into tears.
"Tuney!"
But Petunia was running away. Lily rounded on Snape.
"Did you make that happen?"
"No." He looked both defiant and scared.
"You did!" She was backing away from him. "You did! You hurt her!"
"No - no I didn't!"
But the lie did not convince Lily. After one last burning look, she ran from the little thicket, off after her sister, and Severus looked miserable and confused.
Petunia ran into her (and Lily's) bedroom, flopping right onto the bed. Lily came rushing in the room, hoping to comfort her. She stroked her hair and offered her a cookie. Both were taken with loud sobs.
A few minutes after the sobs deceased and Petunia's breathing was calm, she spoke.
"I know about the letters, Lily. They're everywhere hidden. Mum doesn't want you to go."
Though Petunia spoke, Lily thought. Letters? WhatlettershaveIreceived? Lily interrupted Petunia's story.
"Where are they, Tuney?" Lily asked. Petunia shrugged, wiping away the tears.
Then there was an eery creeeaaakkk coming from the front door. Lily put a finger to her lips and walled out of the bedroom. She saw the door open, but no one was there at the door. She crept slowly to the front of the doorway. There in the doorway was a......
Cat?
Lily chuckled at her scariness, then called Petunia to come check it out. Lily picked up the cat and smiled at it. (she made a little giggle noise with the pointed hat on its head and the curving around its eyes) Her green eyes staring into its yellow ones. Then the cat transformed. As the cat seemed to grow, she dropped it to the ground as it was growing.
As it was grown to its full length, Lily was astonished. It was a lady in dark green robes with the black pointed hat resting on her head. Under the hat, Lily guessed there was a bun sitting on the lady's head.
Petunia came with a gasp from her lips.
"Mum! Dad!" She yelled into the empty house.
The two girls stood there in front of the lady and did not nothing, until she said something. Soon enough they invited her in and accompanied by their red-haired mother. She staired at the woman and her the two daughters behind her. The lady took something from her robes and pointed it at one of the couches.
She waved the pointed thing at the couch and it transformed into a tiny mouse. The girls were astonished by the change and clapped proudly. The lady turned the mouse back into a couch and point the pointed thing back into her robes.
"I am Minevra McGonagall. Deputy Headmistress and Head of Gryffindor House at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I have come for for you, Lily Evans." Minevra took out an envelope and gave it to Lily.
Lily fiddled with the envelope to get a better look. There was a crest. Of a lion, serpent, badger, and an eagle. Located in the middle was an H, ruling over the animals. Lily then checked the words.

Lily couldn't believe it. Out of all the lies Severus could've told, this one was true! Though her and her mother was happy, Petunia was furious.
