When we finally got to driftveil city, it when we got there, the gym leader, clay, said he had important matters to attend to. He said later, he tells us he and his crew are searching for a new vein in his mine. We tell him we'll be in the Pokémon center. At a market we meet the hero The Mighty Accelguard And his accelgor. We helped him stop a crew no as team vanilite. Then we met up with Cilan brother chili, he felt that he needed to get stronger. We help him learn the move solar beam. And when we tried it ask for another gym battle he still had more trouble with revival herbs. So we decided to help him get the herbs, heading to an island meeting Luis, then we discovered team rocket were stealing the Legendary Pokémon Landurous, thunderous, tornadous. We saved them and help them landurous save the island defeating the others. Now getting replenished revival herb and return to the gym.
Ash: hello
Grim: anyone in their
Then the doors open and we see a large man. Dressed as a miner.
Man: and what might you want
Ash: I did what clay ask
Ash shows them the revival herb
Ash: we brought back plenty of revival herbs, he promised we battle if we did
Grim: yep
Man: I understand, please follow me
They enter the gym, it was a long walk to an elevator.
Man: go in
Ash: come on
Pikachu: pika
Grim: yeah
Gligar: gli
They entered the elevator as it goes down. As in really down. The man mock our Pokémon being cute and small. Then says clays Pokémon are extremely powerful and laughed. But it only intrigued ash and grim. The elevator finally goes down as they run down the tunnel. Then they see clay and miner
Ash: hey there clay
Grim: hey clay
Clay: well you kids are back, you brought any revival herbs
Ash: here
Clay grabs the back and looks.
Clay: hm, now that's impressive. Here get this to the ones that need it.
Man: I'll do it right away
Ash: so can we please battle right now
Clay: off course I always keep my promises. You will go first kid
Grim: wait why ash
Clay: that's easy, he ask first
Grim: ugh oh course
Clay: now let's how good you are at battling as you are herb gathering.
He laughs they follow him through the tunnel at the end there was a wall. Clay then swings his pickaxe. But it was anticlimactic as he just pressed a button. And the large doors coated in rock color opened and revealed a bright flash. Out of the flash was the gym battlefield. We took our stands and ash got on the field as well as clay.
Referee: the battle between ash the challenge and clay the gym leader is about to get under way. Each side will have three Pokémon and the battle is over when all three Pokémon are unable to continue. Furthermore only the challenger can substitute Pokémon.
Grim: Alright ash, let's see what you got
Gligar: gligar
Referee: ready, battle, begins.
The battle was amazing as ash roggenrola evolved. Now it was grims turn.
Clay: grim, let me just give my Pokémon some revival herbs and we fight again. And this time let's see what you got.
Grim: alright.
The next day it was grim turn as he switch places with ash, now facing clay. The referee told us the rules like before.
Referee: battle begin
Clay: alright krokorok let's get to work
Krokorok: krok
Grim brings out his Pokédex.
Pokédex: Korkorok, the desert croc Pokémon, Protected by thin membranes, their eyes can see even in the dead of night. They live in groups of a few individuals.
Grim: alright let's go ground with ground type, gligar get ready to rumble
Gligar flies onto the field. Both Pokémon exchanged glares. It was a battle of ground types.
Clay: your gligar got spunk, I like that but you need more then spunk to take on my boys, use dig
Korkorok used dog and buried underground. Gligar just stood there waiting for the moment.
Grim: now
Gligar flys into the air.
Clay: sandstorm let's go
Above he sees Korkorok jump into the air. Then fires a beam into the ground. Suddenly the ground created sandstorm. It hits gligar sending him down. When he lands the field is completely clouded in sand.
Clay: bite let's go
Grim: gligar use brick break
The two Pokémon attack in the ground. They exchanged doges and hits until they slide back.
Clay: use stone edge
Korkorok fires stone edges at gligar. He blocks it.
Grim: gligar fly into the air and use earthquake.
Clay: what will that do
Gligar flys into the air and smash the ground. Creating a force destroying the sandstorm.
Clay: not again use dig again
Grim: not this time brick break go
Korkorok jumps into the air. Gligar jumps and sky rockets to Korkorok and used brick break slamming Korkorok into the wall, it falls fainted.
Gligar: gligar
Referee: Korkorok is unable to battle, gligar wind.
Grim: nice job bud.
They exchanged fist bumps and gligar returns. Clay returns his Pokémon.
Clay: don't count me out yet, you got spirit but I'm definitely gonna teach you some manners, palpitoad let's get to work.
A large palpitoad landed on the field. Grim knew who he wanted.
Grim: scraggy get ready to rumble
Scraggy lands on the field.
Grim: scraggy use crunch
Clay: palpitoad use rock smash
Palpitoad tail glew orange as the attack collided. Both Pokémon were sent back.
Grim: scraggy use drain punch.
Clay: use hydro pump he fires it but scraggy plows through with his head.
Clay: never seen that in a scraggy
Scraggy lands the punch sending palpitoad into the air.
Clay: finish this palpitoad use rock smash
Palpitoad dives at scraggy
Grim: scraggy hi jump kick.
Scraggy jumps into the air the rock smash hits scraggy in the head and the hi jump kick hit palpitoad in the face. Both Pokémon were sent flying into the ground. Both Pokémon were fainted.
Referee: the match is a draw
Cat: alright kid, no holding back, excadrill let's get to work
Excadrill makes his appearance. It was huge.
Excadrill: excadrill!!
Grim: alright Fraxure get ready to rumble
Fraxure comes out and roars as well
Iris: go Fraxure
Axew: Axew Axew
Clay: use rapid spin
Excadrill attacks with opening his claws and spins them.
Grim: fraxure use dragon rage
Fraxure fires it but it was cut in half.
Grim: use dual
Fraxure goes with dual chop.
Clay: rapid spin again
Excadrill spins his whole body. Both attacks were repelled back.
Fraxure: dual chop again
Fraxure charged the Pokémon.
Clay: your not strong enough to stop hirnndrill
Excadrill horn grew and spun. It hits Fraxure sending him into the ground.
Grim: find let's take this under. Use dig
Clay: use drill run
The Pokémon dig into the ground, you can tell they were going back to back. But drill run was more powerful as it launched Fraxure into the air. Excadrill flies into the air.
Clay: now use rock smash
Excadrill use rock smash hitting Fraxure in the gut they crash into the ground. When the dust settles Fraxure was buried in rubble.
Clay: well looks like it done
Grim: no way
Clay: hmm
Grim: I'm gonna be the strongest trainer, so there's now way I keep losing I'll give it all I got and so do my Pokémon
Gligar: gligar
Pikachu: pika
Ash: go Fraxure
Cilan: you can do it
Iris: come on Fraxure
Axew: Axew
Grim: come Fraxure.
They was breif silence. That was destroyed as bright lights flash through the rubble. Then out burst Fraxure into the air glowing . His body grows long, his tusk grow into axes, and his legs are longer. He lands on the ground in his new form.
Haxorus: hax!!!!!!
Grim: no way, you evolved
Iris: it's a haxorus.
Grim brought out his Pokédex
Pokédex: Haxorus, the axe jaw Pokémon, and the evolved form of Fraxure, They are kind but can be relentless when defending territory. Their sturdy tusks will stay sharp even if used to cut steel beams. These Pokémon are covered in hard armor.
Grim: and you learned a new move, sweet
Clay: now this is a Pokémon with real power excadrill drill run.
Excadrill use drill run and borrow through the ground, he erupts out the ground but haxorus caught it. His body started glowing blue.
Grim: now haxorus use superpower
Haxorus: hax
Haxorus throws him into the air
Grim:dragon rage
He fires it as it hits excadrill. Excadrill falls weakens.
Clay: excadrill finish This with rock smash
Grim: dual chop let's go
The two charge at each other. The attacks collided, neither of them were back down. But haxorus use all it strength to flip excadrill back and smashed it with the second attack. It was a huge shockwave and as the dust settles haxorus moved his axe and excadrill fainted.
Referee: excadrill is unable to battle haxorus wins, which means the victory goes to grim the challenger
Grim: oh yeah
Gligar: gligar.
Iris: they did they run
Axew: ax ax
Grim runs to Haxorus as he hugs him him.
Grim: you did great haxorus
Haxorus: hax hax
Grim: yeah we did it
They laugh as clay was impressed. Outside clay congratulated grim.
Clay: grim I must say this was a true battle of guts I want you to remember how hard you fought when the day comes and your a Pokémon master.
Grim: right thank you clay.
They shake hands and then clay presents them the badge, the quake badge. Grim strikes a pose along with his Pokémon.
Grim: oh yeah I just got the quake badge.
Gligar: gligar
Scraggy: scrag
Haxorus: haxorus
Now at the Pokémon center ash and grim get their Pokémon healed. Once healed they set off of Mistralton City. Through a guts filled battle, grim and ash got the quake badge, now it's off to the next gym as the journey continues.
Boom that's it for the chapter. Haxorus is now the first Pokémon to evolve. Next chapter, electric returns and surprises in, Chargestone Cave and Evoultion Exchange.
