A/N: So this first one was an assignment for my British Literature Class (you'll find that a lot of these are assignments for my classes). It's a poem that was inspired by either the Medeival Period or the Renaissance Period (I can't remember which). After that is a lyric poem which wasn't extra credit or anything, but that I didn't know which one to turn in, so I gave them both to him and he told me which one was the one I was supposed to write.

Tragedy of Affection

Your eyes were piercing, dark with affection

Your touch almost unbearable sometimes

When you spoke my name to me then

A cold chill ran up and down my spine

Everyday was torturous pleasure

Every smile a gift to my eyes

No words could ever describe you

No matter how many times I've tried

We were having so much fun then

And we thought our future through

But now I have two words you should hear

It's over, you cheated, screw you.

That floozy you love now, loves your cousin

Your weakness being so kind

She didn't fool me, her intentions clear

But didn't work hard to play with your mind

And now you're loveless and heartbroken

And you want me back in your arms

But the fact is you're not hurting me

You're the only one being harmed

So I'll call to see how you're doing

But I warn you, at this you musn't scoff

You better not screw me over again

Or I'll go and rip something off.

A/N: You should have seen the looks on all the guys faces after reading that last part. Made my week. Now here's the lyric poem titled:

We All Fall Down

Couples in pairs holding hands in the park

Smiles permanently etched on their faces

Feathers left where the geese had once swam

Children look for mothers' embraces

Dry rain falling and painting the floor gray

Heat emanating from all around

People running in all kinds of directions

Others trying their best to calm down

A restless child runs toward his mother

He sits and waits by her side

The oncoming stampede runs over them

Letting the boy finally rest that night

The town is in flames, the people lay dead

On the streets with no purpose or will

We remember these people mostly because

This is what happens when we decide to kill

A/N: I especially like this one because on the side my teacher wrote "nice poem- dark message". He liked it quite a lot along with one of the other students who asked me where I'd been for the last few years of his life. I declined his offer :)

So that's it for today. See you next time I find something worth sharing!
