I reached my brother's office floor with the elevator and got out when the door opened. The receptionist Angelina greeted me with a smile.

"Hi, Amelia," I smiled.

"Hi. Is Luke still in the meeting?" She looked down at her laptop.

"Yeah. It should finish soon. His office is open. You can wait there," I nodded and walked over to his office. I opened the door, heading inside.

Luke's office was one of the bigger ones here. It had a giant, dark wood desk in the back, two black armchairs in front of it, a sofa on the right-hand side of the door. Bookshelves covered the left-hand side, plants occupied the far right. Across from the bookshelves, a glass board hung on the wall. It was always covered in formulas and words. Economy and shit.

I dropped my bag on the couch, walked over to the desk, and plopped myself down on the most comfortable desk chair I've ever sat on. I swivelled on it, stopping shortly with my eyes on the city view. My phone buzzed. I took it out of my pocket, seeing a message from Rose.

Rosie: where are you?

Amelia: I'm at Luke's. I have a dilemma to talk to him about.

Rosie: I heard the new professor started work.

Amelia: Yeah, no shit.

Rosie: NO WAY!

Rosie: it's the guy from the club!

Amelia: great! Want a medal for that?

Rosie: what is up your ass?

Amelia: I might need to drop his class.

Before I could read her message, the door opened.

"Yeah, my sister's here, so just wait a moment," I heard my brother's voice as he walked in. And the man he was talking to was none other than Nathanial Dalton himself. My eyes widened slightly, his gaze fixated on me as he closed the door. "Hey, Mel," I smiled at Luke. He walked over to one of the armchairs and sat down. Nathanial followed him, sitting down on the other one. His stare burned my skin, in a way that I wanted to break the windows and jump out. "This is-"

"We know each other," Luke looked at Nathanial, surprised at the interruption.

"He's my new professor," Luke looked at me, nodding.

"Got it. What was the thing you wanted to tell me?" I inhaled deeply.

"Nothing interesting. I'll tell you later."

"Is something bothering you, Amelia?" Nathanial's voice sent shivers down my spine. The millionth time.

For fuck's sake.

"Maybe something, but it can wait," I looked at Luke, trying to forget Nathanial was even present.

"I'll come by later tonight," I nodded at his statement. "So, how's school?" Like I'm going to say. Ninety per cent of my classes will be taught by the fine man beside my brother. The other few are just minors I'm taking.

"It's fine," I stated, leaning back in the chair. Luke nodded, looking from me to Nathanial. I could feel his eyes on me. Why the fuck did he care so much to look at me?

"Fine? What's annoying you?"

"Maybe I should leave you two. You're here to speak business, I'm assuming, so I better get going," I stood up from my chair.

"Hold on, what's wrong?" I shot Luke a look that said "shut your damn mouth". He looked like he understood my expression and nodded. "I'll be back around six," I nodded before heading towards the couch and grabbing my bag.

"Bye!" I glanced back at them one last time. My eyes went straight to Nicolas who wasn't even looking. I smiled at my brother and left the room. I was able to get a breath of air without pressure.

Why was I looking at him before I left?

————

"Fuuuckkk!" I said out of frustration. The problem I've been trying to solve wasn't making sense. Nothing, in fact, was making sense.

I remember the time in eighth grade when I was so into a boy, that nothing in my life made sense. It was a stupid crush that never went anywhere.

But this? This can never be a fucking crush. Even if he's on my mind.

I threw the pencil across the room. I started taking deep breaths to calm myself down. Frustration always led to anger for me. Not the time for that.

I got off the chair and moved onto the bed. I looked through my window. The sight of the wind blowing the tree branches and taking their leaves with it made me aware that I only had a few months before Christmas break. One I need so fucking desperately. To get away from him. Not even from school. That's the last thing I need a break from.

Also, the fact that I'd get to visit my parents excited me.

Why on Earth was he at Luke's office? How long has this friendship been going on? Or business-ship thing?

My mind couldn't help but imagine Nathanial. If he wasn't my teacher... man, things would be different. The man I saw at the club was probably one of the most handsome males I've ever seen. His perfectly sculpted body, his face, his style, his brain for fuck's sake. He's so goddamn smart. Perfectly perfect on paper.

I didn't even realize how my hand began to slide down my stomach. I felt my core wanting something more than my hand. Desperately. I slid my hand inside my sweatpants and panties. My fingers began circling my clit as I opened the drawer of the bedside table to my left. I took out a small pink vibrator that was probably one of the best purchases I've made in my life.

My eyes rolled back as I felt the vibrations on my sensitive spot. I gripped the bedsheet with my free hand as the pleasure took over. My head dropped back, hitting the tower of pillows.

It was very wrong. Very wrong to imagine him. I couldn't help it.

I couldn't help but wonder what could have happened if he had never become my teacher. Would we have found one another again? Would something have happened?

I bit my bottom lip, trying to hold back my moans. Fuck, this wasn't good. I needed to drop out of his class. There was no way I'd be able to focus.

But then there was an amazing opportunity to expand my knowledge in math with his help. Just imagine the perks of working with him.

But no. I can't. Not when I can't get his image out of my head whilst touching myself.

"Shit," I moaned out, the peak of my climax approaching. My eyes rolled back as my toes began to curl and my legs began to shake. "Fuck," I let myself release as pleasure took over. "Fuck, Nathanial." I didn't even realize how my free hand covered my mouth, my eyes widening.

Shit, shit, shiiiittt.

I took out the toy and threw it on my bed, practically jumping out of bed. This is getting too far. I sat down at my desk, turned on my laptop and opened my emails.

I had to end this.

But I hesitated after I typed in the email of the school administrator. A knock on the door made me jump.

"Shit. What's gone into you?" I said under my breath as I stood up. I opened the door and stilled. "Mr Dalton..."

"It's Nathanial." Alright. Skipping back to the club when he said his name. My heart began to beat so fast.

"What... what are..."

"I'm here with Luke. I wanted to stop by and ask you about the offer. Have you thought about it?" I nodded.

"I was actually amm... thinking about transferring to a different class." His brows rose. He crossed his arms over his chest.

"May I ask why?" This was most likely the first time he has heard someone say to him. He was the best of the best and little miss Amelia decided to withdraw from his class. Why? That's a whole other conversation.

"I..." Suddenly, words were lost in my brain.

"Is it just because of what happened a week ago, Amelia?" Why did I like the way his voice sounded as he said my name?

"N...no."

"Amelia," he walked forward, making us inches apart. I had to look up at him to see his grey eyes. Those beautiful eyes.

Get your head out your ass, Mel.

"If you for once think that I'll let you leave my class, you're wrong. Very wrong. I think you're very aware that I have to approve this. I won't. I won't let probably the smartest student I've ever had walk away from me. And if you do decide to leave another way, I can easily ruin your reputation. Then, none of your little accomplishments or your intelligence will help you." My breathing became heavy.

"Are you threatening me?" I couldn't stop myself from asking. He ran his tongue across his bottom teeth.

"I'm just making you aware of what I'm capable of, princess." I was appalled. "I think you understand how beneficial this would be for you, don't you?"

"Yes. Fuck. Fine, I'll accept your offer." A hint of satisfaction touched his face. I'll regret this. I know it.

"What is the thing you're learning right now?" I tried looking back at my notes in my mind. Thank fuck, I had a photographic memory. His presence made me unable to think rationally.

"Am... Laplace transform. I've recently started."

"Show me your material." I hesitated before I turned around and walked over to my desk. I shuffled through the pages on it, the pages flew everywhere.

"Where the hell..." I looked at the pages on the floor. "Shit." I bent over to pick them up. I stood up straight and ran through the pages. It was what I was looking for. I turned towards him and handed him what I had. I glanced at his face, seeing him with a grin. Almost like he was smirking at me. "What?" He shook his head, amused and took the papers. I looked back at my room trying to see what he might have found while he read through the papers.

"It's not very hard to spot a bright item on your bed, princess." My eyes widened.

"Shit... Am..." I covered it with the corner of the duvet. My cheeks burned.

"Are you free tomorrow after class?" He looked up at me. I was literally drowning in embarrassment.

"Right after math?" He nodded, handing the papers back to me. I grabbed them and set them on my desk. "I have an interview at noon, so if it's okay with you, I could come at around one?"

"Sure. I'll be in my classroom. Just stop by." I nodded as he turned to leave.

"How will I repay you?" I asked. There was no way I could do this for free. He was offering his tutoring to me. He was offering his time to me. Why though? He stopped in the doorframe and looked back at me.

"Just... stay in my class." I nodded but frowned the second he left my room.

Stay in my class?

For what?

Better image?

What?

I took a deep breath as I watched the bedroom door. My fucking vibrator. How could I have forgotten? Embarrassment flooded my cheeks. This is worse than me moaning his name.

No.

It's not.

Why was he even here? Sure, maybe Luke had invited him here, but why was he by my door. My eyes widened. What if he heard me? That would be my thirteenth reason. I collapsed on my bed and grabbed my phone seeing missed calls from Rose.

Rosie : What got into you? I've called you a million times!

Amelia: Sorry, I was in the middle of solving the world debt problem.

Rosie : you little bitch. What happened?

Amelia: nothing.

Rosie : Liar!!!

Amelia: I have work to do. See you tomorrow.

I threw my phone to the side and sighed. This was my nightmare. How long will I be able to last? Maybe nothing bad will happen. Maybe with time, I'll forget this attraction.
