I dress myself and tie my hair up.
"Mom, dad, I'm up to school!"
As I walk I notice the people around me,
my neighbor and I exchange friendly greetings.
Suddenly, a stranger approaches me:
"Hello, do you know where xyz is?"
I patiently explain him the way.
I think to myself: "Today will go smoothly!~"
I've finally made it to the school gate,
I wait another 5 minutes.
Then my eyes fall on a girl with long, graceful legs.
"Yuri, there you are!"
Yuri looks down and murmurs: "..T-thank you, Monika.."
"No problem, I'm glad to be of help for you."
Yuri takes a moment to collect her thoughts.
"..I feel horrible for making you go out of your way to
guide me into school, I-I'm not sure what's causing my anxiety.."
I smile gently at her: "Don't worry, you aren't being a nuisance.
And also, this way I get to spend more time with you!~"
Yuri's face is lit up with a reassuring smile.
It's clear that Yuri is still struggling to accept the reality that people like her.
How can I make her understand that her friends genuinely care about her?
Omg, I know!!
