All of them turned their heads to the voice. Eunji stood up and was about to run to Minji but Jimin grabbed her hand. She looked at him but he shook his head. She turned to Minji but saw Yoongi standing in front of her with a straight face.
Their mom started to storm towards them with an angry face but stopped when Jin stood in front of her, towering over her short figure as compared to him. "Get away." She glared at him.
"No." He crossed his arms. Jimin pulled Eunji to sit beside him, still holding her hand.
"I'm your mom."
"And I'm her brother." Their mom bit the inside of her cheek at Jin's answer. "And you aren't gonna hit her. This is sibling fight."
"Oh, really? Then was it okay of her to hit Yoongi like this?" She also crossed her arms. Eunji bit her lower lip, nervously watching the small argument between the elders of the house. None of them dared to say anything, even their dad.
"No, it wasn't but this matter is in between siblings. You don't even know what happened." Jin poked inside his cheek.
"That doesn't mean she can hit him like this." Their mom took a deep breath.
"It's between siblings, stay away."
"Now, you are arguing with me?" Anger grew up inside her because of his repeating his words again and again and arguing up with her. She uncrossed her arms. Taehyung's eyes landed on her hands and he saw her fingers twitching. He stood up and ran to her. His instincts were right. She raised her hand to slap Jin but Taehyung grabbed her wrist.
"Don't hit him," Taehyung growled. "You don't have any right to hit him without any reason."
"And he shouldn't argue with an elder." She snatched her hand away from Taehyung's grip. "Repeating his words again and again."
"He was defending them, not arguing with you. You are the one who is converting this conversation into an argument. When he said it's sibling matter for the second time, then you should back away. I don't know why you all elders always thinks that we are arguing with you when we all do is defending ourselves or someone else. If it is an argument and we are winning, you always hit us and say, 'that's disrespect'. We can't even do anything after that and shut our mouths cause you are elder and we respect you." Taehyung spoke in one breath. He knew she was one of those people who does that to make the younger shut.
His words hit Eunji hard. That was the same thing she always thinks but never got the courage to speak to her mom. Their mom stared at Taehyung with a poker face before turning to Eunji, who flinched at the sudden eye contact. "Eunji, follow me." She said and walked to the stairs.
Concern filled over to Jimin cause he doesn't trust Eunji leaving with her mom alone after what he heard from her room and Minji. He tightened his grip on her hand, trying to stop her but she stood up, removing his grip from her hand and quickly went behind her mom.
"I don't want her to go." Jimin bit his lower lip, glancing at Jungkook, who was also quiet the whole time just like their dad but nervous could be seen in his eyes.
Realization hit Minji and she tucked on Yoongi's sweatpants, who looked down at her. "Oppa, mom is going to hit Eunji. I saw her face. She will let her anger out on her." She whispered. Yoongi instantly ran to the stairs with Minji following him. The other brothers sensed something is wrong and ran behind them.
"Jungkook." Their dad called the blue-haired boy, who stopped while the other ran upstairs. "Bring me a glass of water."
"But dad, there are maids-" Jungkook stopped when he glared at him. Jungkook groaned and ran to the kitchen.
Yoongi reached Eunji's room and put his ear on the door, instantly hearing faint screams. He grabbed the knob to open the door but it was locked. He kicked the door in frustration and ran his hand through his hair.
"Mom always locks the door." Minji panted after reaching there. The other three also reached there and they heard what she said.
"Tell her to open the door," Jin said.
"Like she will open it." Yoongi scoffed.
"What about keys?" Jimin asked.
"It will take time to find spare ones!" Jin rubbed his forehead.
"Where is Jungkook?! Tell him to break the door!" Yoongi gritted his teeth.
"I'm here!!" Jungkook shouted while stopping in front of them.
"Where were you!?" Taehyung glared at Jungkook.
"I will tell you later." Jungkook rolled his shoulders. "Now, get away. I will break it." Jin held Minji's shoulder and pulled her away from the door. Jungkook moved back before sprinting towards the door and hit his shoulder on the door. He groaned in pain but ignored it and ran inside along with others.
They saw Eunji in the corner of the room with her mom standing in front of her with a wooden stick, who turned around at the loud sound of the door slamming open. Jin ran to her mom and snatched the thick stick away from her. "Why were you hitting her?!!" He snapped.
Jimin held Minji back while Taehyung ran to Eunji. His heart clenched when he saw her whimpering while shaking very badly. He instantly hugged her as she cried in pain. He walked her to bed and sat her down and also sat with her, comforting her.
"How can you hit her when she didn't even do anything?!!" Yoongi's voice roared in the whole room.
"You all should stay away from this! This is our family matter!!" Her mom glared at Yoongi, who glared back.
"They are our family also now!! Of course, we are also involved in it!" Yoongi gritted his teeth.
"Minji revealed us everything of you hitting Eunji every time," Jin spoke in a cold tone. She instantly looked at Minji with a deadly glare, who gulped and looked down.
"Don't glare at her. She did right!" Jimin pushed Minji a little behind him as she clung to his leg.
"Can't believe you just let out your anger meant for someone else on your own daughter..." Jungkook shook his head. "From now on, please stay away from her. We will take care of her ourselves. This applies to Minji also. She will stay under us." He bit his inner lip while staring at his stepmom.
"I will tell this to your dad." She tried to warn them.
"Do it. He never really cares to put his nose in our business cause we are mature enough to take care of them unless you." Jin fired. She knew they are still more powerful than her, especially Jin cause her husband loves his sons a lot, maybe more than her but she wasn't sure and it made her more nervous and left out.
Her mom licked her lips and looked at Eunji crying on Taehyung's shoulder before storming out, not forgetting to push Yoongi out of her way. Minji hugged Jimin's legs tighter when she felt her mother's deadly stare on her.
