Karl POV
My bruise was healing and I felt as though life might be getting better.
I was still yet to talk to my mother but that was tomorrow's plan.
It was currently 2am and the only people awake were George and I.
We sat on the kitchen counter away from everyone else so we didn't disturb them.
"So about our conversation earlier" George starts, giving me a smile.
"Nothings changed really, I'm still confused"
"What confuses you?" He asks.
"Well I like both of them, I feel greedy that I want them both" I admit.
"Have either of them come out to the group? Has anyone came out apart from Dream?"
"Nope still just Dream, although I feel like we should tell them about us"
"Karl that makes it sound like we're in a secret relationship" he laughs.
"You know what I meant! I like them and you like Dream, it's clear that Dream still likes you back"
"Still? Dream never liked me in that way" He asks, confusion clear on his face.
"Just because he was with Fundy doesn't mean he didn't have feelings for you George" I watch as the expression on his face saddens.
"Yeah well he picked Fundy" The silence grows between us as the words settle in.
"I think you should talk to them, tell them where your head is and maybe they'll be able to clear it up for you" He advises and I give a small smile.
"I'll know when the time is right, at the moment I need to keep focus on things with my dad. I need to talk to my mum about it today" I frown.
"Can I...talk to you about something?" He asks with a serious look.
"Of course you can"
"My dad is one of the people who abused me, I didn't know until he came round because he changed so much I could hardly recognise him-"
"Woah slow down, your dad was one of the people who kidnapped you?" I ask, suddenly worried.
"No he didn't kidnap me, Schlatt had friends that he would invite over and they'd get to do whatever they wanted to me, depending on their mood"
"George that's so fucked up"
"My dad was practically his right hand man and I had no idea it was my father until now, I'm calling the police on him later today"
"That's good, are you okay?" I ask.
"I don't know" He sighs
I take a look over at the others, all of them still sound asleep.
"Can we sit outside? I could use some air" He asks and I nod.
"Sure let me just bring us a blanket, it's like almost 3 in the morning"I hop off the counter and walk back into the living room.
I quietly take one of the blankets left from the bag and join George outside.
"So what're we doing today?" He asks and I shrug, putting the blanket over both our shoulders.
"Well depending on what happens with my mum I should be hanging out with Sapnap, what about you?" I ask.
"I'm gonna go see Wilbur hopefully, have a chat with him if things don't get too chaotic at home"
"I forgot you guys were close, Wilbur and Quackity were close for a while" I say, a small frown on my face.
"Really?" He asks.
"They hooked up at a party, I don't even remember how or why they got close"
"So Quackity and Wilbur are Bi? And they dated?" He looks at me completely bewildered.
"Well I'm guessing so yeah, we weren't really close with either of them during that period of time" I could feel myself start to shiver.
"You guys stopped talking? Wait so why did they break up?" He asks and I shrug.
"He started doing drugs and drinking a lot, Wilbur was doing it with him and he became a different person"
"Why did they start drinking and doing drugs?" He asks, pulling me closer to him so I'm laying against his chest.
"Why do you think? They were both struggling with loosing you and turned to each other, I don't know how it happened it just did" I explain, enjoying the comfort.
"Do they still do it?" He asks and I shake my head.
"I know Quackity doesn't, I don't think Wilbur does but I can't be sure"
"Karl? George? What're you doing out here?" We both turn to see a tired Sapnap.
"Just talking, why're you up?" I ask.
"You guys weren't in there and I got worried" I get up from the floor and leave the blanket with George.
"We're okay don't worry" I smile.
"We should probably head back inside and get some rest George"
"I'll be there in a moment" he faintly smiles and I nod, turning to face Sapnap again.
"Come on I'm tired" He whines and I shake my head, leading him back inside.
"I'm not leaving George outside on his own at this time of night" Sapnap frowns.
"Alright fine" I look back over to George.
"George it's late, come inside" He gets up and brings the blanket inside.
"Goodnight George" I smile as I watch him walk back over to his mattress with Dream.
"We had to cuddle without you" Sapnap mumbles as he gets back into his previous position, leaving me a space to lay in between him and Quackity.
"Well I'm here now" I faintly smile as he rests his head just below mine.
I hear his breathing slow and feel his chest rise and fall against me.
I look over and see George wrapped in Dream's arms, the faint sound of chatter filling the silence.
I look back down at Sapnap and move his hair out of his face, then looking over at Quackity and doing the same.
I will talk to them eventually.
I just don't want to ruin what we have.
Because it's all I have.
