Rue had everything all in place.
All she needed was CG and 3Gun
To show their face.
But it would seem the Mayor had to disappear.
Her surprise was ruined, she feared.
The cake had been delivered
Three tiers tall
Rue made sure there would be
Enough for all.
The tables were covered with cloths of white.
With candles in lanterns
Such a magical sight.
At each place setting a muffin sat
Blueberry of course.
She couldn't do without that.
And a party gift of lilac water
Tied up with a bow,
But what good was all of her hard work
If no one would show.
She even had lemon liquor shipped in
From the docks.
But she figured it was all a waste as
She looked at the clock.
"Without the guests of honor
This party will be
The worst party ever,"

The meals were put on hold

And why the delay.
Rue hoped they freed the Mayor
And that all was alright.
But the timing was awful
Quite spoiled tonight.
"Not much can be done,"
