While Sonic and the Freedom Fighters are searching for the Gaia keys--magical artifacts crucial to their plan for saving the planet--Y/N, Knuckles, and Kneecaps are inside Moss's house, sitting in the chair talking about the Master Emerald shard when Y/N suddenly got a call from her watch on her wrist and immediately replied as the speaker is on.
"Tails to Y/N! Do you read me?" Tails called.
"Hey, Tails! What's up? How's my Kirby doing?"
"Kirby is doing fine and okay. He's with Cream. Bunnie and I just got the last Gaia Key. We'll be moving on the plan to fix the world soon. Have you found all the Master Emerald shards?"
"Uh...no. We've got three. One from Casino Park, one from Apotos and one we found on the way here." Knuckles spoke.
"My Chaos Emerald sense showed me the rest are clustered into groups, but..."
"You worry about the world, Tails. We've got this. We'll be alright." Kneecaps assured.
"Okay. Good luck, you guys." Tails said.
Y/N then turn off her watch and face Knuckles and Kneecaps.
"Not that I'm giving up, but this is going to be close..."
"We'll make it work. It just means we'll have to strike the Egg Base and get those two shards I've detected tonight. You two sure you're up for it?"
In front of them was Mighty and Ray with Moss behind them, leaning against the wooden wall. Mighty grinned and clasped hands with Knuckles.
"Knux, when have I ever passed up a challenge?"
This made everyone smile.

Outside the Soumerca Egg Army Base, at sunset
"The gate is no good, either. There's a sniper tower right on the other side." Ray informed, looking through the binoculars.
"We've got to get in there. I'll handle it. That is, if lovely Y/N will please lend me her giant fist whip for a moment?" Mighty said, smiling at Werehog Y/N.
"THANK YOU. YOU'RE SUCH A GENTLEMAN!"
Y/N handed him her giant fist whip as he spun it and then threw it towards the sniper tower as the fist crashed the building, causing the Mobian soldiers to fall off. Mighty and Knuckles together punched through the wall with grin on their faces.
"Knock-Knock!"
"It's Mighty and Knuckles!"
"AND Y/N THE WERHOG! AROOOOOH!!"
After getting her giant fist whip back, Y/N landed in front of the soldiers and swiped them away with her big claws as screams were heard. They all ran into the base.
"Keep low, li'l buddy! Stick to the plan--Nothing fancy!" Mighty said.
"Right! See you in a minute!"
Ray then flew off while Kneecaps ran into the other direction, leaving Mighty, Knuckles, and Y/N as Knuckles knocked the flying robot away with his spiked fist.
"Let's make some noise!"
"YEAH!! PUNCH IT LOTS!"
The trio ran through the hallway while knocking out the soldiers and robots.
"Not that I've fought a lot of Egg Soldiers or anything, but I thought they were supposed to be tough!"
"Against your average citizen? Sure, they're fearsome. We're in a whole different league, Knux."
Y/N rolled her eyes playfully as she bumped into a few more soldiers and stopped in front of the guard that held a gun to her face as he stood there, shaking. She gave him a growl and bared her fangs, causing him to scream as she grabbed the gun with her mouth. She shook it like a wild animal and crushed it between her teeth as they broke into pieces before spitting it out. This caused the guard to faint at how close he was to his death. Her ears twitched to hear another soldier coming behind her and she turned around. He screamed and accidentally dropped his gun. She decided to spare him as she gestured him to lie down. He gratefully nodded and pretend to groan like he was in pain and fell to the ground. Y/N just rolled her eyes again as the boys dealt with more soldiers and Mighty faced the big guy with the gun pointed at his face.
"Heh! Listen to you! Sonic was right--You have gone soft!"
But boy was Knuckles wrong as Mighty punched the gun. The gun was now crushed and dented. Then, he punched the soldier through the wall as he crashed into the crates. Y/N whistled, looking impressed. They proceed to their running.
"'Soft,' huh?" Mighty smirked.
"When this is all over--you, me, sparring match, my place." Knuckles declared.
"Sounds like fun."
"You too, Y/N. I like to see what you can do with your werehog form."
"ALRIGHT!!" Y/N cheered.
They made it to see the Master Emerald shards in the glass with crates around the room.
"There they are!"
"Ever the expert teasure tracker! Let's grab 'em and--"
Y/N sniffed the air and growled, pushing the boys back with her long outstretched arm just in time to see the flash of electricity that was blasting their way. They turned to see Thunderbolt the Chinchilla. She looked very angry and this made Y/N growl in anger as well, never wanting to see her pathetic face again.
"Those belong to Lord Eggman!"
"AS IF!"
Knuckles punched his fists, which Mighty and Y/N immediately noticed it.
"Hold on! She's dangerous!"
"I HATE TO ADMIT IT, BUT SHE CAN BE VERY GOOD WITH HER ELECTRICITY!"
"So? Reinforcements are on the way. Stick to the plan. I've got this."
"KNUCKLES, NO!"
But Knuckles already jump towards Thunderbolt. Y/N sighed and ran after him to help fight that pathetic boss. Ray came in from the glass roof and called.
"Mighty!"
"Perfect timing!" Mighty smiled to see him.
"We're all clear out here! Make it quick!"
Mighty picked up the glass full of shards and looked at the direction to get a perfect aim.
"Okay... so we travel x-number of kilometers... Moss's place is North of here... Calm night, no wind... so throw it... like this!"
With an amount of strengh, Mighty threw the glass out to the window roof as it zoom past Ray towards Moss who's holding the basket with an x shape on the ground in front of him, but instead it crashed into the ground on the opposite side of where Moss is.
"Close enough." he shrugged.
Back to Mighty and the others as Y/N went in front of Knuckles, blocking the big blast of electricity from Thunderbolt with her arms out. Y/N grunted, feeling small amount of pain as her fur was covered with electricity for a sec.
"Y/N!" Knuckles exclaimed.
"You okay, Y/N?" Mighty asked in concern.
"YEAH. NO ELECTRIC CAN HURT ME."
"I kinda wish I had more time to properly fight her."
Suddenly, more Egg Soldiers came in.
"Too bad! You're totally surrounded! And once I fry the three of you, I'll find those shards again! I'll zap the entire jungle and sift through the ashes if I have to!" Thunderbolt growled, pointing at them.
But instead of being worried, the trio just smirked as Mighty did a timeout gesture.
"That's your answer to everything. And while you're all here, your command center is woefully understaffed."
Y/N quickly covered her ears as the bad tune whistle was heard throughout the comm, causing everyone except Knuckles and Mighty to cover their ears with a pained yell. It was Kneecaps who made the noise as he was in the security room after knocking the soldiers out. He then made fart noises from his armpit and sang a terrible song before breaking all the controls and walking out with an innocent look.
"Whoops. My bad."
This gave enough distraction to run away with Kneecaps and Ray catching up to them. Thunderbolt was enraged and yelled to her soldiers.
"Form up! After them! I said--"
She noticed not even a single soldier or a robot can get up from that horrid noise they couldn't hear while the robots have malfunctioned.
"AURGH!!"
Y/N stopped for a second and ran back to the area and stood in front of Thunderbolt. She flinched and immediately powered herself.
"You came here for more? Well, I'll gladly give you one!"
Before she could attack her, Y/N grabbed her whole with her big clawed hand and gave her a loud roar to the face, making her freeze in fright.
"HERE'S A FAIR WARNING... IF YOU EVER HURT ANY OF MY FRIENDS, I WILL CHEW YOU UP WHOLE AND THEN SPIT IT OUT! AND THUNDERBOLT... STAY AWAY FROM MY FAMILY!"
She then grabbed the red dot that powered her up from the forehead and pinched it, crushing it without leaving any parts for her to fix. She then dropped her to the ground giving her a last dark glare with a low growl, showing she's serious and ran off to catch up to her friends. Thunderbolt lay there, shaking uncontrollably.

They're now back to Moss's place as Knuckles held up five shards of the Master Emerald and clapped them together and they disappeared in a flash.
"Thanks again, guys."
"Always happy to help!" Ray smiled, rocking himself back and forth with his curled tail.
"With those two, you're up to five shards. How many more do you need?" Mighty asked.
"Seven... but Sonic and the others already have all the Chaos Emeralds and Gaia Keys. If they fix the world before I can restore the Master Emerald..."
"Bro!" Kneecaps scolded.
"DON'T LOSE HOPE NOW! NOW THAT THESE ARE ACCOUNTED FOR, LET'S CHECK FOR THE REST!"
Y/N held up her ruby and closed her eyes for a moment before they widened.
"What is it?"
"They're on the Westside Island. There's... a bunch of them. Somehow...?"
"We'd come with you. But I want to be here to protect Moss in case Thunderbolt has a tantrum." Mighty sadly said.
"I doubt she knows where we live, but I appreciate it all the same." Moss agreed.
"DON'T WORRY. I GAVE HER A WARNING IF SHE EVER TRY TO..." Y/N said with a glare.
"I'm guessing you gave her a good threat." Kneecaps said with a smirk.
"YOU KNOW I'M SERIOUS WHEN IT COMES TO WARNING."
"No sweat, Mighty. We should travel light, anyway." Knuckles said with a grin.
"NEXT STOP--THE KINGDOM OF ACORN!"
"Alright!" Kneecaps exclaimed.
