••Mafia King, Chase Won's POV••
We're here inside the DarkBlood's Headquarter including the two emperors at kaming dalawa ni Karsen since we can't just include the other leaders here from mafia dahil wala naman silang alam na si Lereg yung isang emperor para maprotektahan rin ang pamilya nya.
Vladimir's seating on the end of the long table habang tabi naman kaming dalawa ni Karsen at sa tapat naman namin ay si Grey ang umupo na salubong na salubong ang kilay mula pa kanina habang nakahalukipkip.
"Is there's any footage left that we can get?" Vladimir asked to Karsen na busy sa laptop nya.
It took him awhile to answer hanggang sa naihagis nya nalang yung laptop nya and an emoticon na smiley na nakalabas dila yung nasa screen ang huli naming nakita bago namatay.
Frustration is visible in his eyes at napasambunot pa sa buhok nya.
"They're too good pero kanina, I can still have an access kahit paano but now, wala na talaga."
"How about you Chase?" He asked at na pa isip naman ako ng malalim.
"Those two are wearing a masked so if you guys gonna asked if I recognized them, my answer is no. Wala akong idea kung sino sila bukod sa malalakas silang dalawa. I can't even hit them and predict their moves kaya till now honestly hindi parin ako makapaniwala na silang dalawa lang yon pero wala man lang tayong napala and worst 3 leaders pa tayo na nandoon.." litanya ko at kita ko pagkuyom ng kamao ni Grey then he sighed.
"I didn't really notice the guy with that masked woman dahil nasa kabilang side ako." Panimula naman nya.
"I just noticed is that mabilis reflexes ng babaeng yon, like it's almost impossible to hit if you won't gonna shoot simultaneously." Dugtong nya at napatango naman ako dahil pansin ko rin yon.
I even saw how wounded she is pagka akyat palang sa roofdeck na una'y akala ko'y isa lang sa mga empleyado kaya hindi muna ko nagpaputok not until i saw her wearing mask and the thing she's holding na agad kong naalala at tingin kay Vlad.
"Hey, Vlad. Anong meron sa picture frame na nasa opisina mo?"
His expression looks surprised as if he didn't really expect the sudden question sabay iwas ng tingin.
"Why you asked?"
"That woman's holding the frame as if that's the thing she really wants to get, she even seems like protecting it.." Grey said this time at agad napatingin si Vlad sa kanya at muling napa isip ng malalim at sabay patong ng siko sa lamesa then he put his thumb on his lips ng magsalita naman si Karsen.
"This is not good.. what if she's planning something to the kids and Angel or worst Trisha? We need to be more careful. We need to watch them more and sent more guards to the mansion if we needed." Karsen suggested ng ako naman ang sumagot.
"They might not gonna focus on Trisha that much if ever baka yung bunso o si Angel since hindi nila alam na si Vlad ang Mafia Emperor at isa pa, wala ng nakaka alam sa labas na anak sya ni Aristia to protect her identity, nalimutan mo na ba na maski si Trisha wala narin alam sa mommy nya so no one gonna eye on her once they found out that she have a blood of the legendary Assassin Phoenix or else, magagaya sya sa mommy nya na pipilitin hasain ang kakayahan sa murang edad para mamuno."
Vlad and Grey remained silent.
"That woman..." Grey muttered then he sighed na kinatingin namin sa kanya na mukhang nag iisip ng malalim.
"Her eyes... I saw it somewhere before.." anya nya in a way na parang sigurado sya then he shook his head.
"No... maybe I'm just thinking too much.. kalimutan nyo na." Dugtong nya ng si Vlad naman nagsalita.
"The board of directors called me not too long ago that they received the approval and reviewed the suggestions that they said na ako may gawa but I'm pretty sure it's one of them who infiltrated my office using my laptop.."
"What they do? Did the company lose anything?" I asked then he slowly shook his head.
"No... it's a work that gonna take a few months to do for proper reviewing but since I got too busy for Trisha's birthday ay hindi ko mapagtuunan ng pansin.. it's a billions of dollars deal so I was about to focus there as soon as possible na natapos agad ng kung sino na ganun ganun lang at saglitan and when I scanned it, wala naman mali as if that person knows how the dealings should be with concrete plan and added suggestions to earn more profit."
Napasipol si Karsen sabay sandal at crossarmed.
"Amazing.." He uttered.
Nabalot kami ng katahimikan para makapag isip ng malalim.
"I can bet that it's three of them who worked together kanina." Sabi ko at tingin nila sakin.
"Karsen is with the hacker, I saw the man who's driving the chopper and Grey faced the other one, a woman to be exact and aside from that wala na, wala ng iba na nandon and fortunately kahit may pagsabog na naganap, no one's harm and the building can still be rebuilt since it's just the top floors. And to be honest I think sinadya talagang sa taas lang at pati pag alarm dahil it took them a while bago sinimulan pasabugin yung taas na para bang binabalaan ang lahat na umalis at lumayo na agad." Mahabang litanya ko base sa observations ko.
"I agree with that.. I can really guess is that they just want to be known and to mocked us." Karsen said.
"I think may kinalaman talaga to sa Empress throne." Segunda naman ni Grey na kinatingin naman namin sa kanya.
"I don't understand.. if that woman really wants to be known, pwede naman dito sa darkblood na mismo atleast diba? Sikat na sya agad?" Biro ko ng batukan naman ako ni Karsen.
"Hindi yun pupunta basta dito dahil maraming bantay na reapers at assassins." Sabi pa nya ng sakto naman na mag beep yung phone na nasa loob ng opisina na kinatinginan pa namin then Karsen shrugged his shoulder pero tumayo rin.
He answered the telephone but he put it on loudspeaker.
"What's up DarkBlood's?" Unang katagang bumungad at agad kaming napatayo dahil sigurado kaming yung babae ito kanina.
"Who are you?" Vladimir asked at naging tahimik ito.
"Hey.. are you still there?! Sabihin mo samin sino ka at anong kailangan mo?!" Galit na tanong ni Vladimir then she chuckled and it's kinda annoying that there's a part of me na cutetan sa pagtawa nya.
"Believe me, hindi ikaw kailangan ko at kung may kailangan man ako sayo isang bagay lang yon." Naging seryoso muli at naging malamig boses nito.
Karsen signed to us to keep talking to her dahil sisimulan nya ng ih detect yung tawag kaya tumango kami.
"And what is it?" Vladimir asked.
"Wala ka bang nararamdaman kahit sa boses ko?" Tanong nya na parang umiwas sa tanong.
Nagsikunutan noo namin then Karsen signed his hand to just go with the conversation habang nag hahack na sya.
"May dapat ba kong maramdaman?" Vlad asked then she chuckled again.
"Wala nga ba?"
We gave Vladimir a looked as if asking if he have another woman then he glared at us at palihim kaming natawa.
"Wala akong interes makipaglaro sayo kung sino ka man, I have a family.. I don't have a time to play around with a woman like you who appeared out of nowhere." Seryosong sabi ni Vlad then we heard a sighed on the other line.
"Family huh..."
"Yes.. family.. a complete and happy one, so don't you dare touch them or else."
"Good.. panindigan mo yang mga katagang yan kase to be honest wala kong paki, tsk. Sobrang Ganda ko kaya para maghabol sayo.."
Agad akong natawa for some reason honestly kaming tatlo maliban kay Vlad na mukhang na mumula na sa inis at natigil kami dahil nag deathglare sya samin.
"Hey knight, good job." Napakurap kurap si Karsen pagkatingin sa telepono dahil parang sincere talaga sinabi nito.
"And you too King.. You're doing good on shooting now." Ako naman napabalik ang tingin sa telephone.
"At ikaw Emperor not the other one dahil hindi ako interesado." Instead of laughing again ay agad kaming nagkatinginan apat dahil hindi namin inaasahan na kilala nya si Vladimir bilang emperador.
"Who the hell are you?" Nag iigting na pangang tanong ni Vlad.
"Empress." She replied at agad napasuntok sa lamesa si Vladimir at kita ang galit sa mga mata nya.
"No one's allowed to just grab that title naiintindihan mo?"
"If I do?"
"I'll kill you.." He said in serious tone.
"Ouch.." she said then chuckled again.
"Stop joking around." Vlad said then clenched his fist na for sure if Karsen's not hacking ay pinatayan na nya to ng tawag.
"Do you know that I can kill you?" Tanong muli ni Vlad.
"I died.. take a look in your hands." Subconsciously kaming napatingin sa kamay ni Vlad.
"Raise your middle finger cause that's what I wanna say.. sayo..." she chuckled again at kita na ang matinding galit sa mata ni Vlad sa pang aasar nito.
"I'll kill you." Vlad uttered.
"Believe me.. you won't gonna be able to. hindi mo yan kaya at hindi mo yan magagawa dahil hindi mo rin yan gagawin at lalong lalo na, hindi ko na yan hahayaan." Seryosong sabi nito at napakuyom naman si Vlad para magtimpi.
"Stop being grumpy and threatening me cause it won't work and you all gonna need me specially you."
"I don't need you."
"Ohh really?" She asked in mocking tone.
"I heard that you guys might lost the stronghold of power you all have hangga't walang Emperatris sa trono."
"You won't gonna be the empress.." this time si Grey na ang nag salita.
"Hey what's up?" Anya nya na parang matagal na silang magkakilala. "Hey, Thanks nga pala sa pag baril mo sakin kanina, nabura na yung dating marka sa braso ko na ayaw na ayaw ko ng makita." Kumunot noo ni Grey at tukod ng mga kamay sa lamesa sinulyapan ko naman si Karsen na busy parin hanggang ngayon habang seryosong nakatingin sa laptop na extra nya.
"Why you wanna be the Empress anyway? Aside from power, what you really want?" Grey asked in serious tone as if he is saying that he wants a serious answer this time.
The other line got silent for a while then we heard a sighed.
"Protection."
Napatingin kaming lahat sa telepono dahil seryoso na muli ang tono nya ngayon.
"You need power for protection?"
"I need the power of Empress to protect someone more securely to be precise.. the one I need to protect is the most important person I have and my very own treasure that hard to attain cause that's how dangerous it is if I go near.."
"And you think we gonna help you to protect that person if you became the empress?"
"Yes."
Confident na sagot nito na kinangisi nalang namin and for some reason ay parang naalala ko bigla si Phoenix sa pagiging confident nya.
"I need to protect my child." Napaseryoso kami sa sinabi nya at hindi ko na mapigilan na magtanong.
"What's with your child?" Naging tahimik ang kabilang linya na muntik na namin akalain pinatayan na kami ng magsalita sya muli.
"The mafia's... those who captured me before... and someone... someone who might still be around... lurking, waiting for the right chance to ruin everything again and capture my child.." I can feel a genuine emotions on it habang nakikinig sa boses nya.
"I can't do this alone.. I need more power, I need more people that's why... I'll get the Empress throne even I don't even want it, I'll fight again even if I die. Para sa anak ko..I'm willing to put my life once again on the line." Puno ng emotion na sabi nya at natahimik kaming apat at pati pagtipa ni Karsen ay natigil rin.
"You have a kids too Emperor... you understand how I feel.. na handa mong gawin lahat para sa anak mo kahit buhay pa maging kapalit nito... tama ba ko?"
Napatingin kami kay Lereg na ngayo'y tahimik.
"May balak ka bang ipanakot mga anak ko sakin since alam mo kung sino ko."
"No.. that's the opposite."
"I'll protect your child... and my child.. I won't harm yours.. I'll protect mine."
We suddenly felt like we're on a jigsaw puzzle dahil sa mga kataga nya mula pa kanina na pilit naming pinagtagpi tagpi ngunit parang hindi parin namin maintindihan nais nyang ipahiwatig.
Why she gonna protect Vladimir's child if she already have hers that she need to focus first?
"Don't stop me from entering the competition and don't even dare try to cancel the scheduled fight... my decision is final or else, you'll gonna face the consequence." She said in a warning tone sabay baba na ng telepono at naiwan kaming puno ng katanungan.
