" Pa.. Paano sila.. Paano sila nakaakyat dito?! " Takot na napatanong si ate Abby habang naririnig naming dalawa yung mga sigawan na nagmumula from the outside of her unit. Sa mismong corridor lang!
Then we heard a few gunshots too.
I assume na yung taong nagpapaputok ay malamang si Cap, na minsang binanggit sa akin noon ni ate Abby na resident din dito.
He is a retired police captain who just bought a unit in this building a year ago after his retirement.
Sobrang takot na takot na kaming dalawa ni ate Abby. Gunshots, heavy footsteps, screams in terror and pain, falling objects and more. Yun lang ang mga naririnig namin noong mga pagkakataon na yun...
Kasabay pa noon is we can hear those monsters growling. That time, parang nawawalan na ako ng pag asang maka survive... Paano na kami makakaligtas? Is there really someone that will come and rescue us? If so, how? When those monsters are already near our doorstep!
Pero kahit ganoon ang sitwasyon ay pilit ko pa ring pinakalma ang sarili ko.
Gabbo's POV
Nakakulong and trapped pa rin ako sa loob ng emergency room habang kinakalampag ng mga halimaw yung pintuan. Good thing, these turds don't know how to open the door...
" Fucking freaks! " inis na sabi ko. " How am i suppose to get outta here?! "
Habang wala akong maisip pang paraan para makalabas, i counted how many ammo i still have left..
14 rounds... At least a little more than enough to fill 2 cylinders... But, still not enough to clear those bunch of ugly bastards outside!
Dahil dun, naisip ko that maybe i might find something useful here kahit papaano just in case i ran out of ammo...
In my luck, i found a claw hammer.
Well, for what else this hammer can be useful against? Yeah, right. Those freaks outside!
Maya maya ay narinig ko na may mga nagisisgawan na ring mga tao sa labas.
At the same time, narinig ko rin na parang unti unting nawala yung mga ingay ng mga halimaw na malapit sa front door ng emergency room kung saan ako naroon. It's like those noises made by some people drew their attention.
Dahil doon, naisip ko na buksan na yung pintuan... As i slowly turned the door handle to open the door, sumilip muna ako... That moment, i saw those cannibals attacking my fellow residents!
" Shit! " i exclaimed seeing those freaks mangle those poor people and sadly, some of the victims are just little kids! As a man in the army, seeing innocent little children die is one of the worst things my own two eyes have seen.
Lumabas ako at dahan dahang lumapit sa mga cannibal na noong mga sandaling iyon ay brutal na kinakain ang mga lamang loob ng mga biktima...
There are 5 of these freaks eating the bodies of their poor victims... Nang mapansin nilang papalapit ako, isa isa silang lumingon sa direksyon ko.
They snarled at me, but it didn't scare me a lot. Mas lamang yung galit na naramdaman ko noong mga oras na yun.
As they made a move to attack, i quickly drew my weapon.. Then, i started blasting!
I managed to gun down the three of them and the other two pounces at me. One of them missed. But the other one caught me and i dropped my gun again this time. 😡😠😤🤬
But thanks to my strength training, i managed to overpower this prick wanting to take a piece of me. I grabbed its' head and smash it against the wall! Though it didn't kill it but it did slow it down.
Then the other freak came charging right at me. So i grabbed the claw hammer i found in the emergency room and braced for the attack.
The moment he gets a little too close to me, i hit his head as hard as i can with the hammer and he went reeling upon impact and momentum.
" You, dipshits! " i uttered while panting . Saka ko lang napansin na tumalsik pala yung isang mata nung cannibal na hinampas ko ng martilyo.
Both of them are staggering a little due to sustained injuries. So i know it is the right time to finish them off.
As one of them tries to get up, i bashed its' head with the hammer. Then after he got knocked down, i repeatedly bashed its' head until the upper section of its' skull shattered upon impact. Killing it permanently.
Then, the now half blind bastard is about to attack me. Hindi ko na siya hinayaang makalapit sa akin kaya naman nilapitan ko na siya then isang malakas na hampas ng martilyo sa ulo niya yung bingay ko!
Ilang ulit ko ring hinampas yung ulo niya hanggang sa lumuwa na yung durog durog na utak niya sa sahig!
After killing it, i turned my attention to the dead victims...
" Jesus... " i thought while i'm looking at their brutally mangled corpses.
I know these people... These children..
These are good people.. They didn't deserve this!
" Sorry, this happened to all of you... " i uttered. One of them started to turn into one of those monsters.
Gripping the hammer, i bashed his head with enough force to kill him pretty quick. Then, i did the same to the others to prevent them from becoming one..
After putting them down, i picked up my gun that i dropped while i was fighting those 2 freaks. After a moment, i heard a sudden loud sound of explosion coming from the upper floor...
Coleen's POV
It's been 2 hours already and we're still trapped in ate Abby's unit. Mama and papa haven't been calling me since the last time we had conversation.
" Tangina naman talaga! " galit ngunit natatakot na sabi ni ate Abby. " How am i suppose to know if okay lang talaga sila?! " she added as she started
to burst into tears.
Ako naman ay hindi mapakali na palakad lakad lang. Still scared as hell, i slowly went to the door and looked through the peep hole.
Maya maya ay narinig naming may malalakas na putukan ng baril na tila nanggagaling sa labas ng building.
" Wait? "Anong... What was that? " nauutal pero curious na tanong ni ate Abby.
She went to the balcony to check what is happening outside...
" Nandito na sila! " she shouted with a little delight in her tone when she sees what is going on down there.
Kaya naman dali dali akong pumunta ng balcony to see what made her react like she did. That time, i don't know if matatakot ako or matutuwa sa nakita ko.
A group of police officers, S.W.A.T team and the military joined forces fighting off the monsters outside!
" Great! " i said with little relief. Ngayun ay kahit papaano ay nabuhayan kami ng loob ni ate Abby.
We rushed inside dahil sa lakas ng putukan ng mga baril sa labas.
Narrator's POV
Kasalukuyan pa ring nilalabanan ng pinagsanib na pwersa ng mga kapulisan at sundalo ang mga halimaw.
Ang isa sa mga sundalo ay kinailangan gumamit ng " RPG-7 " dahil masyado nang marami ang mga sumasalakay na halimaw.
Sa kasamaang palad, nang akmang gagamitin itong muli ng sundalong may hawak nito ay bigla na lang may mga sumunggab na mga halimaw dito!
Dahil doon, aksidente nitong nakalabit ang gatilyo habang nakatutok ang " RPG-7 " sa isa sa mga unit sa mataas na bahagi ng gusali.
Hindi sinasadyang naiputok ito at tumama at sumabog ang " Warhead " sa isa sa mga pader ng unit na malapit sa balkonahe dahilan para mawasak ang malaking bahagi nito!
Coleen's POV
Nakatayo kami ni ate Abby malapit sa may main door ng unit niya habang nag iisip kami on what we should do next.
" So.. Wha.. What now? " i asked ate Abby.
" Well... I think we sho- " hindi na nagawang maituloy ni ate Abby yung sasabihin niya nang biglang may malakas na pagsabog na yumanig sa buong unit causing ate Abby and i to get knocked down!
FAST FORWARD AFTER A FEW MINUTES...
Tinnutus.. Tinnutus is all i can hear at that moment...
I can barely open my eyes. Vague.. Everything seems vague... Thick smoke, fire, dusts and a wrecked wall. Those are the only things that i can see...
My back is hurting a little. Malamang ay dahil yun sa pagkakatumba namin ni ate Abby and unfortunately, my back hits the wall due to the blast wave.
As i slowly recover from a temporary hearing loss and vagued vision due to the blast, agad kong hinanap si ate Abby. Fortunately, she is fine.
But like me, she lost her hearing as well dahil hindi niya ako marinig kahit harapan ko siyang tinatanong kung ok lang siya..
Maya maya pa ay nabalik na si ate Abby sa wisyo and she nodded in response.
Habang inaalalayan namin ang isa't isa sa pagtayo ay bigla na lang...
" WRRAA!! " me and ate Abby heard a growl!
" Wha.. What the hell is that!? " takot na pagtatanong ko.
When suddenly, from the wrecked part of the wall that was destroyed by
the blast, a monster appeared!
" WRRAA!! " the monster growls after seeing the two of us! Now we are very scared as fuck!
" AAAAHH!!! " we screamed in horror. Tila nakalimutan na rin namin yung mga sakit na nararamdaman namin dahil sa sobrang takot!
Dali daling sumugod sa amin ang halimaw!
The monster kept on chasing the two of us! Noong mga panahong yun ay hindi na namin alam kung mabubuhay pa kami para makitang buhay sila mama at papa though we are still trying to save our lives by escaping that monster!
Noon din ay wala na kaming ibang choice kung hindi ang lumabas ng unit!
Nang makahanap kami ng pagkakataon ay dali dali kaming nagpunta sa may pintuan palabas ng unit.
Ate Abby opened the door for me to get out and then she followed. Habang ikinulong naman namin yung halimaw sa loob ng unit.
Hindi pa man rin kami nakakahinga nang maluwag mula sa pagkakatakas palayo dun sa halimaw, nang makita naming may mga halimaw na sunod sunod na naglabasan mula sa iba't ibang unit!
They all charged towards our direction! Now we don't have a damn choice but to run away, again!
They chased us across the corridor. Habang takot na tumatakbo, naisip namin na dumaan na lang sa may emergency exit pababa.
We are not sure kung saan kami mapapadpad... What matters for us right now is to outrun those ugly monsters and escape!
There, we ended up at the 8th floor. We immediately closed the door to make sure those monsters won't be able to pass. When suddenly, a man with a familiar face showed up and points a gun at the two of us...
" Wait! Please, don't shoo- "
" DUCK! " he yelled as if he is aiming at something else!
Agad naman kaming yumuko ni ate Abby and then, BLAM! BLAM! He fired two shots! Suddenly, may dalawang halimaw na bumagsak malapit sa tabi namin ni ate Abby.. With their heads almost blown in half! Gross!
" You guys, alright? " he asked after gunning down the two monsters. Yes, i remember now. Siya yung guy na nakasabay namin sa elevator paakyat yesterday!
Hindi agad kami nakapagsalita ni ate Abby so we just nodded our heads repeatedly in response.
" You''re lucky to somehow survive this long... " he added. " Those bastards are almost everywhere... "
While he was talking to us, i saw some
dead bodies that looks like they were eaten by wild animals! I covered my mouth in shock. Suddenly, i began vommitting in disgust and horror.
Shit... These poor people, those poor little children... How could something like this happened to them?!!
Suddenly, we heard another explosion. This time, it caused almost the whole corridor to termor!
" Shit. We gotta get the hell outta here! " he said the moment he heard the explosion.
" Bu.. But how? " ate Abby asked. " Paano tayo lalabas dito kung- "
He then pulled something from his side.
" Here, take this... " he said saka niya inabot kay ate Abby yung isang claw hammer. " You're gonna need that.. "
" Uhh... Are you saying... You want us to fight these things? " ate Abby asked while confused.
" Like hell, we won't. " he replied as he smashed the glass of a fire axe case with his elbow. Then he takes the fire axe...
" While the police and the military try to get the situation outside under control, we can and should take our chances to get the hell out." he added. " Loud noises seems to draw these douches. So the louder and longer the sound of gunfires and explosives they hear outside, the more of them would come out of this building to go there. I say we can use that as an opportunity... "
" But...We are... We are not... We can't fight all of them.. Not like this... " tugon ko sa kanya.
" We don't have to fight all of them.. " he replied. Then he reached for the baton and pulled it out from the dead security guard's holder attached to its' belt and handed it to me. " We just gotta have something to protect ourselves... "
Nagkataon kasi na security guard sa building na 'to yung isang infected na napatay niya.
I don't know why... But the way he said it, the way he look at the two of us especially me.. The way he flashed a smile... There is something in him na nag motivate sa akin. 😌☺️😊🤗Dahilan para magkaroon ako ng lakas ng loob.😎👊🏻💪🏻🗡️🛡️
Nakatingin kami sa isa't isa nang marinig namin na tumunog yung elevator. Napatingin kami doon...
Nang biglang lumitaw yung apat na mga halimaw na sakay sakay pala nung elevator!
" Well, just as i was saying! " he said as he smirked a little.
" WRRAA!!! " the four monsters growled at us as they begin to run towards our direction!
" Remember, guys.. " he said. " Always aim for the head! " he added.
The moment the four ugly monsters gets closer, we readied our weapons to fight back.
The guy managed to gun down the two of those monsters while the other one caught him and they engaged in a
close quarter combat.
But ate Abby and i aren't quick enough to take a swing kaya naman nagawa akong sunggaban ng isa sa mga mukhang zombies na 'to!
Yes, As in zombies! 🧟♂️🧟♀️ Finally! Tinawag ko rin silang ganun kasi mga mukha naman talaga silang mga zombie na what i assumed na caused ng isang deadly virus! ☢︎☣︎
Fortunately, babae yung zombie na nakadagan sa akin and we are only the same size kaya kahit paano ay kaya ko naman siyang pigilan na kagatin ako.
Ate Abby tried bashing the zombie using the claw hammer but she can't hit the head directly. The zombie then turned its' attention to ate Abby and starts to attack her!
The zombie managed to overpower ate Abby causing her to drop her weapon. She got pinned against the wall while the zombie tries to bite her face!
Luckily, the guy managed to kill his zombie attacker with an axe to the head. So he rushed towards the zombie that is attacking ate Abby and pulled it away from her.
Humagis yung zombie mula sa pagkakahila ni mr.right ay este nung lalaking tumulong sa amin.😂
When the zombie goes to the ground, hindi ko alam kung anong klaseng espirito yung sumanib sa akin at bigla akong sumugod dito!
Without hesitation, i immediately picked up the baton i dropped and then, i started bashing that zombie's head over and over while yelling!
Hingal na hingal ako matapos kong halos durugin yung bungo at utak nung zombie sa dami at lakas ng mga hampas na ginawa ko..
Lumapit sa akin si ate Abby to comfort me. " It's alright, Coco.. It's ok... " she said habang inaalalayan akong makatayo..
" I... I did it.. I... Killed her.. I have killed ... " i uttered while my body is shaking involuntarily.
" You had to.. " the guy responded. He gently rubbed my shoulder as a sign of saying " it's alright "... 😌☺️😊
" We all have to.. "
" It's not safe here anymore.. " ate Abby said. " We really have to get the hell out of here.. "
The three of us decided to take the elevator pababa papuntang lobby. Habang nasa elevator kami, the guy introduced himself to us...
" Uhh.. I'm Gabriel by the way.. " he said then he briefly raises his other hand. " You can call me Gabbo for short.. "
" I.. I'm Abby.. " she responded. And uhh... This is my cousin, Coleen.. "
" Uhh.. Well, hi... " sagot niya na bahagyang napangiti nang marinig niya yung name ko.. 😌☺️😊🥰
" Ga.. Gabriel.. " medyo nauutal na tinawag ko yung name niya. " Thank you for... For saving us back there... "
" Don't mention it.. " he replied to me with a little smile on his face..
" Anybody would've done the same... "
I felt a little uplifted sa mga sinabi niya kaya medyo napangiti rin ako kahit papaano..
Maya maya ay tumigil na sa lobby ang elevator. Pag bukas ng pintuan, Bumulaga sa amin yung mga duguan, sugatan at walang buhay na mga tao and zombies!
Habang malalakas pa rin ang mga putukan ng mga baril at pagsabog ng mga granada at iba pa sa labas ng building.
Dahan dahan munang sumilip si Gabbo sa labas para mag check kung may zombie sa paligid..
" May nakita akong tatlo... " pabulong na sabi niya sa amin. " But the other arm of one of them is blown off. So i don't think it would be much of a trouble for us... "
" So, paanong gagawin natin? " i whispered back.
" Well, on the count of three, we run as fast as we can.. " Gabbo replied.
After a count of three, we ran as fast as we can towards the exit. The zombies noticed and they went after us. Fortunately, we managed to make it outside...
Aalis na sana kami palayo ng building nang biglang may narinig kaming malakas na engine sound coming from above!
" INCOMING! " Gabbo yelled as he takes us down to the ground.
An attack helicopter from above launches a hellfire missile hitting and killing a bunch of zombies nearby.
But unfortunately, we didn't manage to go too far enough from the blast radius and the blast wave sent us flying several meters away. Knocking us momentarily unconcncious....
