I walked in and I saw him looking through some mail "this is for you" Derek says. I look at him confused and take the envelope
I looked at my name on the envelope
I opened the envelope...
I read my name.

I froze "what? what happened?" Derek ask I closed the letter and put it back in the envelope. I walked back up the stairs and to Alex and I bedroom. I took the envelope and shoved it on the bottom of the drawer. I closed the drawer snd walk out backdown stairs "what happened?" Jackson asked concerned
"nothing" I say pissed.
I sat back down on the couch "how's you and Merediths house going?" I ask Derek as he sits down "its good, the walls are up" he says.

I lay down in the bed with the twins bedside me. I cover us up and I fall asleep.

someone shook me I open my eyes and see Alex. he kissed my cheek "get up baby" he says. I groan
I pull the covers off me, trying hard not to wake up the twins I walk over and wrap my arms around him. he wraps his arms around me to "your warm" he says. putting his head in my neck. "I dont want to go to work. theres no E.R. which means no trauma. no excitement" I complain letting go. I walk over to the dresser and pull out some clothes and put them on.
"like I was barely awake last night because I just sat in the nurses desk because I had no surgeries" Alex says. we walk out of the bedroom and to the kitchen. i hop on the counter.
"I bought you coffee" he says handing me a cup. "aww thank you" I say and kiss him.
"so about the house thing..." Alex says. "I want to do it. lets build a house lets do it" I say smiling. "really?" Alex eyes light up. I nod "lets do it" I say
"find a lot and start maping it out?" Alex ask. "yes baby lets do it" I say getting off the counter and hugging him.
Meredith and Derek walk in "good morning" they say.
"morning" I laugh
"has anyone heard from April?" I ask. "have you not heard?" Alex ask "obviously not. whats going on?" "she's seeing-" Jackson walked in so Meredith stopped talking. "whats going on?" he ask. "nothing" I sip my coffee
"April is seeing a Emt driver named Matthew. there" he says grabbing a drink out of the fridge.
I looked a Meredith wide eyed. she just sipped her coffee.
"back to the hospital?" I ask Alex. he nods. we walk out of the kitchen and up the stairs, we see the twins still sleeping I rub there backs for them to wake up. Everleigh sits up and wipes the hair out of her face.
I pick her up and it her on the bed. She sits there out of it
Alex sat on the bed and she looked over at him and smiled "hi baby" he says and she smiles and looks away
I looked at her and laughed "what's wrong?" I ask putting her clothes on
I hand her, her socks and shoes "ask daddy to put them on" I say. She looks over at Alex she hands him her shoes "pease" she says
He helps her as I wake up ryker and get him ready.
Alex got up and everleigh crawled off the bed.
He reached in the crib and grabbed her blanket and she stood at his feet and waited for him to give it to her. He gave it to her and she snuggled it and walked out of the room
Ryker was attached to my hip half asleep.
I walked down the stairs and to the kitchen
I seen Jackson drinking coffee
Ryker looked up and reached to him "hey buddy, your lip looks so much better" he says "that's what I was gonna ask you about" I laugh. I packed the twins stuff and see everleigh run in. I grabbed the bags and then I took Ryker from Jackson and everleigh followed me out the kitchen. We walked out of the door and I put ryker in the car and then picked up everleigh and put her in.
Alex comes out of the hosue and we get in the car and head to the hospital
We get out and head up to daycare and drop the twins off and then I go to the lounge.
I change into my scrubs and pull my white jacket over it.
I meet Meredith at the nurses office
we grabbed some charts and started checking on patients.
after we went to a empty room and noticed a camera on the wall
"they've installed cameras" Meredith says
"there probably all in the hallways, the on call rooms. were being spied on mere" I whisper the last part
"who knows whats behind the camera" I whisper
"good morning dr. l/n" the camera says "it knows my name" I gasp Meredith looks down at my coat "it can see your name tag" she whispers. "excuse me" I say and walk out to file out my charts
Meredith and I were paged to O.R. 3
we walked in and saw everyone else. I stood with Alex and Meredith
cavil started talking about the new setup of the O.R.'s and the new efficient ways to help improve stuff
talked about the cameras and time in o.r.s and blah blah blah
after her talking Alex, Meredith, Jackson, and I walk out
"closing the E.R we wont have any patients" I say "the E.R. isn't gonna close were gonna be fine" Meredith says

I sat at the desk and scrolled on the computer putting in some information
"dr l/n theres a cardiac trauma 5 minutes away" dr Murphy says.
"alright lets go" I say as we walked down to the E.R.
"I thought it was closed?" I asked. "no its open one more day" dr Murphy says
we rush outside and get the patient.

we were in the elevator with the somewhat stable patient "prep the O.R for a bloodless so were going to need to recirculate his blood so we will put him on a cell saver machine and continue saline" I say looking at the chart
"or we can just give him blood" she says as we exit the elevator
"and we can be charged with assault and battery" "funny haha" "im not joking theres protocols for people that wont accept blood. plus we do bloodless surgeries all the time"
"have you ever done this? a bloodless aortic transection?" she ask. "no" I say and walk into the O.R.
I scrub along with dr Murphy
I walk in and they gown me and put my gloves on "I need my headlamp" I say as I step up to the table "alright lets go before he bleeds out"

I stood in the hallway on a computer when Meredith walked up "my baby kicked" she says "aww" I smile. "I know right it actually wouldn't stop kicking" Meredith says "im so happy for you" I say "maybe he was kicking because it wanted a granola bar?" "maybe" I follow her to the vending machine to get a granola bar I felt someone wrap there arms around me
I jumped a little and screamed and Meredith laughed along with Alex who was behind me he kissed my cheek
my pager went off I ran off to my patient that couldn't receive blood
a nurse was doing compressions and I shocked him. he was flatlining
after trying a while.
"im calling it. time of death 6:42" I say I wipe my face.
I walk out and sigh standing at the vending machine was Alex and Meredith

I walked in the lounge and change
once im done I walk up to daycare and get the twins. I held there hand as I walked outside to the car.
propped up against the car was Alex with his hands in his pocket
"mrs. Karev" he yells I look around and the twins laugh.
I walk up to him with a funny look
"whats gotten into you" I smile. "nothin" he chuckles.
he kisses me quickly and we hoped in the car and headed home
I get out along with the twins as they ran in Alex grabbed my hand and spun me around and looked me in the eyes. "lets go somewhere. me and you" he says. "but the twins?" "Meredith and Derek will watch them" "but Alex" I say. "come on y/n" he smiles and places his hand on my face pulling me closer. "okay" I whisper against his lips as we were inches apart.
we walk inside and see meredith and Derek sitting on the couch "hey mere" Alex says. "hey Alex" she says. "you want us to watch the twins?" Derek laughs. we nod "okay have fun" Meredith says "told you" Alex says looking at me I him him playfully "shut up" I say
"everleigh and Ryker?" I yell. they come running in "mommy and daddy are leaving we will be back soon be on your best behavior" I say and kiss there heads
I open the front door and walk out with Alex behind me
he opens my car door for me to get in
and the walks around to his side.
we start driving and pull into...
