Harry paced up and down the corridor outside the dressing rooms as he waited for Louisa to appear. Thanks to the messages from his family, he was quietly confident about saying something to her. He was still shitting himself, of course, who wouldn't be, but he didn't have such a bad feeling.
When Louisa arrived, smiling widely, Harry thought his heart might burst with love. Louisa took one look at her best friend's face, and started to worry.
"What's up?" She asked as she reached him, giving him a hug.
"I'm going to tell you something," He replied, "and I want you to give me an honest answer"
"Always, Harry"
"Louisa, would you like to go on a date with me?" Harry asked. His palms were sweating and his heart was beating nineteen to the dozen.
"I'd love to" Louisa replied, smiling brightly. Harry had always loved her smile.
"Oh thank fuck" Harry said as he pulled her in for another hug. As they pulled away, Louisa quickly bridged the gap and kissed Harry. Something in the back of her head told her it was weird, kissing her best friend, but it soon went away when Harry pulled her closer and deepened the kiss. Oh yes, this was where she was meant to be.
