Although Mark did whatever little he could to help Dasom, he hoped her friends had her back since there was only so much to do.
And he was right, because a few minutes after Dasom had stopped talking to Mark, there was a knock at her door. "Come in!"
The door to her dorm opened to reveal Kou, Hyunsik, and Juhee, who looked burnt out from their night out after a lot of classes but still happy.
"We brought stuff for you!" Juhee announced, and Kou held up two bags full of goodies from Cheesecake Factory.
"I love you guys," Dasom smiled, sitting up in bed.
The three friends joined her, Juhee sitting with Dasom while the boys settled down on Juhee's bed, immediately attacking the bags for the sweet desserts.
"Are you feeling better now?" Hyunsik asked between bites of cake.
"Now that you guys are here?" Dasom confirmed. "Yes, I am."
"So you're gonna come to class right?" Juhee begged. "I can't take these two alone anymore."
Dasom laughed. "Yeah, I'll come tomorrow. I just needed a break from people for a bit."
"Did you hear?" Kou remembered. "We convinced your dad to let you stay here for New Year's."
The girl who had been focused on her cupcake suddenly perked up with a lot more joy than she had felt in the past few days. "No way!" she exclaimed, a huge smile growing on her face. "You guys really are the best."
"We know," Juhee said, flipping her hair over her shoulder for the dramatics.
"I also found a job for you once we get back," Kou added. "Manager Hong's nephew opened a bar near the university and he agreed to let you try out for a position there in January."
Juhee punched Dasom's shoulder lightly. "Dasom's gonna be a sexy bartender, ooh~"
"I would totally spend all my money if you were the bartender," Hyunsik joked. "You'll get a lot of tips Dasom."
Dasom just blinked in disbelief. She really did have the best friends she could ever ask for. A couple fun hours later, when Kou and Hyunsik left for their room, Dasom finally remembered what Mark had asked her to do.
