Chapter 40
Crashing
Keaton's Perspective
"WESLEY THIS IS THE SECOND TIME YOU GOT WITH ALLI!" I can't believe this. My own
brother with MY girlfriend. "YOU DON'T TREAT HER RIGHT KEATON." "JUST STAY AWAY
FROM HER." I ran upstairs. Again, I let Alli down. I gave her away. She's gone.
Last time I got lucky and she gave me another chance but this time I might not
be so lucky. I sprinted up the stairs into my room. I knew exactly where she
would be. Yup. The bathroom door was locked. "Alli," I started. "It's okay. I'm
not gonna yell at you. Just let me come in." Nothing. I was scared for her. I
knew she was cutting. "Alli please. I just want to make sure your okay. Don't do
this to yourself. I love you. I didn't mean anything. Alli please just answer
me. Give me something." I heard a sob. Or was that a yelp of pain. "Baby it's
okay. I'll make the pain go away. Let me in." This time there was nothing. I
waited. Still nothing. I tried the knob. "Alli," I was frantically turning the
knob now. "Alli," I yelled louder. "Please," the tears were streaming down. I
pounded against the door. "Alli if you can hear me. Move away from the door." I
slammed into the door causing it to break, hoping I wasn't too late. Alli was
slumped in the bathtub, blood oozing everywhere.
She was unconscious. Or dead. "DREW! WESLEY! HELP! SOMEONE GET IN HERE! ALLI'S
DEAD! HELP!" I screamed at the top if my lungs. Why wasn't anyone coming?
Finally, I heard the pounding of feet. "Holy shit," Drew said as he came into
the room. I was beside myself crying. Why did I let her do it? "WES CALL 911!
NOW! KEATON STOP CRYING! I NEED YOU TO HELP ME!" Drew was yelling orders. I
struggled to control myself but I picked her up while Drew was trying to control
the bleeding. After what felt like hours, I heard sirens. The EMTs took her away
from me. I couldn't stop crying. I just let the most precious thing slip away
from me for good. I was so fucking stupid. Drew rode in the back of the
ambulance. I sped to the hospital, arriving at the same time as the ambulance.
They rushed her in on a stretcher. I pulled one of the guys aside. "Is she
dead?" I demanded. "Sir I need to get back." "IS SHE DEAD?" I screamed. He just
walked away. I ran after him. I needed to know. The nurses held me while I tried
to fights back. They must have sedated me because I woke up in a hospital bed
with needles in my arm. Immediately I thought of Alli. Where was she? Is she
alive?
I started to get up when one of the bed alarms went off causing Drew to come in
followed by a nurse. "Keaton.." I didn't let him finish. "Where is she?" I
growled.
