DEATH'S POV
"What have you find out in the Lipstick I gave you Mathew?" I ask. We're having a meeting through Video Call. It's time for us to move again and back in the trouble of some work. We've been so behind from works lately, dew of so many personal life stuffs. It's time to cut some loose threads for good, and Clean some garbage trashes off the hook. It's really so bother some.
We can't just focus on finding Lucas forever when the jerk is totally hiding for his life. Which is he better be. As of now ay hindi lang si Lucas ang kailangan naming problemahin. The underground is unbalanced so there's a lot of chaos to be fix. Some of my transactions and shipments was being banned somehow, And I have already lost five warehouse this month.
It's not a good thing because I know someone is ruing my group from the inside. Taking down all of my shipments is a very wise plan indeed, for it weakens the business itself, but their not that neath when comes to clearing some tracks. Though my legal businesses are being good as always there's still some few strings that needed to be replaced.
Not to mention that I have been receiving a lots of death threats this pass few months, Saying that they'll bring me down and kidnapp my dearest angels. I'm not really surprised though because the world now know that I have a beautiful of a wife and daughter. In their eyes it's a weakness so many of my enemies are striving to bring me down by the use of them. Briar and Zefrianna.
I have been warned by Mathew so many times on how dangerous it is, if I announce to the world that I have my angels, for they'll be in so much trouble and danger. I'm very aware of the situation but I never regret doing it. I mean i have nothing to hide and their worth trying. Shouting them in the whole world as mine is the very memorable choice I made in my life. I would never fucking regret it.
In fact I never even feel a bit of worries or anxiousness over the threats I'm receiving so far. I even find myself laughing at them sometimes. The threats seems like a jokes to me now because I already know better. Hanggang banta nalang sila and I found it rather ironic. Besides if the threats are real dapat ay nag kakagulo na sa labas, and me fighting for my life just to save my angels, and not like this na nakaupo lang ako sa office chair ko that I really find boring.
"Death are you listening?" Nabalik ako sa riyalidad ng marinig ko ang naiinis na boses ni Mathew na para bang nag uugat na ito kaiintay sa akin. I just shrugged my shoulders off as I leaned down over my table.
"I didn't catch that. What are you saying again?" I ask. Nakita ko naman kung pano ito umirap sa akin which is I just chuckled.
After one week of Vacation in my dad's place, which turns out fine and almost perfect, we decided that well visit there once a month because Zefrianna love the place for she find herself like a princess there in her own and big castle. Dad grew to love her too and I even see him laugh with them, which I never seen before since when my mom died. And I'm glad that his doing fine. Wala naman naging angal si Briar sa part na every month ay mag visit kami dahil karapatan naman daw ng dad ko na makasama ang apo nya. She even said that my old man is just lonely and how heartless I am for not to visit him.
But what can I do? I was just busy and my dad seems not want to talk to me too so I just go with it. Though I still always ask about how his doing from my men. Napag usapan narin namin ang tungkol sa mana ko na inagaw ko pa kay Brittany and his surprised about it too. In the end he doesn't know about Brittany having a hold on to it, for his not informed.
Walang nag report sa kanya na may ganung nangyari and his really furious about it, but nevertheless I said everything is ok now so there's nothing to worry about. All we need to do, is to find this person that's behind all of this chaos and comprehend weather if it's Lucas too or not.
"I said, Lucas was last spotted near Ottawa. One in the famous bar there. The lipstick you gave me is a flashdrive that holds everything about Lucas Plans and Transactions, and how he banned your's. There's also a list of people that's helping him behind your back, and I'm already despatching them one by one. That's all as of now" He explain. But before I can even utter a word he talks again
"Medyo weird lang nga. The flashdrive itself is like a information Detector. Hindi natatapos ang mga impormasyon na inilalabas nya na parang kung ano mismo ang ginagawa ni Lucas ay pumapasok at namomonitor nito. Yun nga lang hindi pa rin nito masabi ang mismong location ni Lucas. It's late. about 3 days and 14 hour's." he said frowning a little. I just raise my eyebrows then brought my hand in my chin.
So Lucas is behind to all of my so unlucky and disappearing shipments and transitions. How desperate.
"Interesting... Well done Mathew" I chirp shortly as I look outside my window still thinking some possibilities for this.
I wonder where Disaster get that Pink lipstick...
"I'll inform my men to wonder near Ottawa if you want Death" pag aagaw ulit nya attention ko. But I just shook my head off. I don't want to trouble him too much about this, as I'm aware of his situation with Jazlyn. Their story is kinda complicated. I don't want to complicate it more.
"It's fine Mathew. Thank you but I'll handle everything from here. But please do standby just incase" I said calmly. He just nodded then after that ay namatay na yung video call. I flipped my laptop close then reach for my phone to call Zack.
"Hello Zack. I have some job for you" I greeted as he answered my call. Rinig ko ang ingay sa kabila dahil for sure ay nasatrabaho nya ito.
"Yes, What is it Death?" He ask. May kinuha naman akong maliit na papel sa lamesa ko at bahagyang pinasadahan iyun ng tingin.
"I wanted you to look for some kind of Organization or whatever group it is, that's connected somehow in lipsticks" I answered. Medyo natahimik naman sya sa kabilang linya. Probably ay naguguluhan din ito sa sinabi ko, but then I smiled when I heard him Chuckled.
"Ok then... I'm on it" by that the call ended.
After some time I already decided to come down for breakfast, but before that ay chineck ko muna ang lahat ng computer monitorer behind some door's to make sure everything is doing good and there's no mismatches.
Pag bukas ko ng pinto ng office ko ay agad na bumungad sa akin si Briar na para bang kakatok palang para tawagin ako.
"I was about to call you for breakfast. Mabuti naman at pababa ka na rin. You've been busier this few weeks and I know why. Pero need mo paring kumain on time." She said frowning. Kita ko rin ang marahang pag aalala nito and I just smiled because of it.
Simula ng ikasal kami she became even more focused to me despite of her work. Hindi sya nakakaligta pagdating sa amin ni Zefrianna and that alone makes me proud of her very much. She's my wife after all I wouldn't doubt.
"Good morning to you too. Have I ever mentioned that you became a very reliable and caring wife and mother with in the months? I can say you suit to be one. It makes me so proud" I greeted calmly. Napakurap naman ito sa sinabi ko and I take that moment para hapitin sya palapit sa akin and gave her a long yet passionate kiss.
Good start for my day.
"Death!. Sinasabi ko na nga ba at halik lang ang gusto mo kaya kung ano ano lumalabas sa bigbig mo. How reliable of you" She laughed, trying to free herself from me but I just tightened my grip on her. Sumimangot ito dahil sa ginawa ko but I just chuckled it off.
"I don't just wanted a kiss. I wanted more... Something wild and exciting. Maybe we can skip the whole breakfast? And just slip inside my office for sometime. Sounds a plan. Yeah?" I tease, as I already suggested my thoughts, but I can say I'll be having a rejection from that kind of thing in the morning.
"Stop it Death! You active pervert! We almost lost count yesterday! What if kung mabuntis ako ng quadruplet! Sinasabi ko sayo ang hirap manganak. And no. The way your fucking--i mean you made love with me, protection will definitely announced retirement itself! So big no for this morning. Calm your butt mister" mahabang pahayag nito at sinamaan pa ako ng tingin but I just found it so sexy and tempting enough to be eated.
Goodness this lady is going to be the death of me. How can she even become that sexy and alluring without her even realizing it? Damn it! Sumisikip ang pantalon ko.
I sighed in frustration. Guess I'll be waiting for tonight. Oh how I wish to skip the whole day.
"Ok fine. But you owe me tonight till dawn later" I evilly grinned. Ninakawan ko pa sya ng isang malalim ngunit mabilis na halik, bago sya pakawalan at nauna nang bumaba.
"Death! That's too much already! You unhuman creature!" Rinig ko pang sigaw nito sa likod ko bat natawa lang ako dun. And just continued my way to the kitchen.
Naabutan ko naman si Zefrianna sa may counter at nakita ko kung paano sya dumukot ng donut sa upper closet, then afterwards ay kakainin nya yung donut ng buo.
Goodness she's far from being little. Though she look so adorable.
"What are you doing there princess? Hmm?" I said. While eying her suspiciously. Nakita ko kung paano mamilog ang mata nya, indicating na gulat ito dahil nahuli ko sya sa aktong pag dukot ng mga donuts. And I really stopped my laughter when she's struggling to eat all the donuts in her mouth.
"D-daddy! Wait muna! J-jan ka lang! Ehhh naman kachee eh!" My Princess said. Mukhang nataranta na ito, pero after ng ilang minutes ay humarap na ito sa akin at ngumiti ng malapad na para bang walang nangyari. Though subrang amos nya at Ang daming chocolate sa ngipin.
Awww... How cute.
"So? What are you bussing yourself there Princess? Care to tell Daddy why there's a lot of chocolates... In here?" I ask jokingly. Tinaasan ko rin sya ng kilay na mas ikinagulat ng mata nito.
"shhhh--Daddy! Ok. Ok. Fine. I've been eating donutch. Pero kache hindi ako pinapakain ni Mommy nun chince latch decade! I jutch mitch it" She reason out. Fidgeting her fingers in nervousness. Though I didn't quit eying her suspiciously to tease her more. And I rather find her exaggeration so amusing.
Like her mother as always. Somehow the two of them amused me in a very possible ways.
"Really? Is my angel saying the truth" I stated. Then umakto na parang nag iisip. Narinig ko naman itong nag giggled.
"Nag chachabi nga po ako ng totoo. Pleache Daddy. Don't tell Mommy... I didn't tell her when I chaw you talking to another girl" she responded quitely na para bang inaalala pa ang panahon na nakita nya akong may kausap na babae, but it caught me off guard like my life defend on it somehow. Which is apparently true for the matter. It send shivers into my spine in instant just imagining if Briar misunderstood it in so many ways.
Dang... She's going to murder me alive. Worst is she'll operate my body and feed it to sharks. Damnit! I don't even remember talking to a girl since the last decades!
"Princess. There must be some misunderstanding. Who's girl your talking about?" I frown, while just looking into my princess waiting to respond. It's so nerve wracking.
There's no way I talked to a girl this month. I just knew it. But hell, this seems like I'm being blackmailed! By my very own daughter!
Fucking hell. She really is my daughter.
"Hmm... It's latch week Daddy. Remember? May babaeng nag punta dito when Mommy ich away for work? Dala nya yung pink na bag. I mean that gross thing. It'ch full of make up. Eww" she explained. Kitang kita ang hindi pagkagusto sa inaalalang memorya. Agad naman akong napaisip kung kelan yun. And I almost jump ng marealize ko kung sino ang tinutukoy nya.
Goodness! This thing can cause me of a heart attack. Of course. Bakit ko ba nalimutan. It's Alli. One of my Business partner's Daughter. She's a secret agent and the pink gross thing is a suitcase. It's true na puno iyun ng mga make up but it was totally not. It's just for front. Stereotype iyun ng mga hidden flashdrives and cameras. Dinesenyohan lang na parang nga make up tools. I was looking for something na katulad ng lipstick na ibinigay sa akin ni Disaster, though I didn't find a match as already expected. But more on to that! Briar know Alli.
What a relief. As I have thought it's nothing to worry about. But it really scare me to death myself. I don't want to be considered as cheating husband. Hindi ako tulad ng ibang mga Don na napakaraming babae and secret affairs behind their sleeves. I will never do that to Briar. And if I ever did, I must be Dead already.
"You little thing. Yes. I already remembered. But no chance sweetie your mother know that girl. And trust me there will be no harm. And as for you. Fine you got a deal. I won't tell your Mom about this. Don't feel like being lucky young Lady. There's no next time" I said. Much more being relief but nakatanggap lang ako ng mahihinang tawa sa bulinggit.
"I knew it! your afraid of Mommy too... The betch weapon. Anyway! Salamat Daddy! Your the best. But Mommy ich the most best" she happily declared for herself. Nag buntong hininga nalang naman ako dun.
"Ok. Daddy is defeated by the mighty Angel Zefrianna" I responded. Kinuha ko sya sa ibabaw ng counter and brought her into my arm's as I stickled her down. Napuno naman ng tawa nya ang buong kusina and it really melt my heart away.
Such a normal day... I didn't imagine I'll be going here one day back then. I never meant to wish this day's to come. Guess I'll be wishing it this time more often and hoping for it to last forever
"Ok both of you, enough with so much tickling. Breakfast is ready" Briar called out behind the door. Parehas kaming napaharap sa kanya ni Fria at nakatanglaw ito sa amin but more on to that ay obvious na masaya ito sa nakikita.
"Let's have some Breakfast then" I smiled. Then nag lakad na papalapit sa kanya. Agad naman nitong kinuha sa akin si Fria ng makalapit kami. Pareho ko naman silang hinalikan sa kanilang mga nuo before totally heading out the kitchen.
Well... A Good start for my day indeed.

"Careful both of you. Call me later. I'll just stop by to get you both home" I calmly said as I glanced at Briar. She's going to her work as usual and Zefrianna is coming with her since she's not attending school yet. Though we have schedule kung kanino si Zefrianna sasama so it will be fair. And today she's with Briar.
I'm not worried about the threats. I'm much more worried sa part na baka subrang naaabala ni Zefrianna si Briar sa work nito. My Princess can be so little handy sometimes. But hindi ko sya kailangan higpitan. She knows her limitations somehow.
"We'll do that. Mag ingat ka rin Death. And don't worry we'll be fine." Briar responded back, then binigyan ako ng isang ngiti. Ganun din naman si Fria.
I'm missing them already.
"Ok then. I love you both. See you later. Fria baby, don't be much a trouble to your Mommy ok?" I said again. At sinulyapan si Fria. Lumawak lang naman ang ngiti nito.
"Ok po Daddy!" Magiliw na sagot nito tumango lang naman ako dun at sinulyapan si Briar. Tumango lang naman ito sa akin so I let them go off already. But before that ay hinalikan ko silang dalawa sa nuo.
"Take care my angels" I lastly whisper.
"We'll Do. We love you more Daddy Death." Briar said, smiling at me. Hinalikan din ako nito pabalik sa nuo kaya agad akong napanatag. After that ay tuluyan na silang umalis, at pumasok na sa loob ng hospital building kung saan naka assign si Briar.
I sighed.
"Ok. Let's get going... Shall we?" I smirk. By that I drive off.
Time to catch a mouse for real this time...
BRIAR'S POV
"Good job again guys" I said in my team. Katatapos lang ng risky brain surgery na ginawa namin, and it's a relief na everything just turns out fine. And as of now we're in the changing room already dahil malapit narin mag lunch so deretso na kami sa Cafe after this. But I'll still ask Zefrianna kung ano ang gusto nyang kainin. I just hope na hindi nya masyadong inaabala si Mae.
"Sayo rin Doc Bri. It's because of your excellent work kaya wala pang naging failed operation ang team natin" masayang sabi ng isa sa mga kateam ko. Agad naman sumang ayon ang lahat dun and I just laughed it out.
"It's not just me so don't give me all the credits. Kung wala kayo I'll be doomed. And I'm really grateful for all your excellences, effort and cooperation. Have a good day" nakangiting respond ko sa kanila. Kanya kanya naman sila ng ingay but agad naring sumang ayon sa akin.
After naman naming mag palit ay agad narin kami umalis at pumunta sa mga kanya kanyang respective areas. Lahat ng nakakakita sa akin ay binabati ako so I greet them back with a smile. Ang iba naman ay chinicheck ko rin ang lagay just incase na may mali.
I'm just so happy with my life. Ayos na ang lahat... Finally ay natapos narin ang mahabang drama sa buhay ko at nagsisimula na ulit ang bagong yugto. It's so refreshing sa totoo lang. I'm glad talaga na bumalik na sa dati ang lahat. I'm back in my work again. Ang pinagkaiba lang ay mas maganda ang day ko ngayun. I can't help it. Hindi ko inaasahan na hahantong sa ganito ang lahat. I'm grateful. Glad. Happy. And contented. It's just so overwhelming. I can't help but to smile.
This is totally I can call success in life.... alam kong marami pang mga pagsubok na darating sa buhay ko. Of course. Life is a endless cycle. I just need to believe in myself and family. Malalagpasan namin lahat ng panganib at trahedya dito sa mundo kung buo kami. And I'll make sure that this family will last forever. Pupunuin ko ang pamilyang ito ng pag mamahal so no one will feel left out. I will protect this treasure of mine. Whatever it takes. I'll make sure to protect it with my life. As long as I live. I will love my family forever. Not because of obligation but because I love too. It's my responsibility and I'll treasure every single piece of it.
"Knock knock" Nakangiting sabi ko habang nakadungaw sa pinto kung asang room si Zefrianna with Mae.
"Good afternoon Doc Bri" agad na bati sa akin ni Mae.
"Good afternoon to you too Mae. Sana ay hindi ka inabala ng bulinggit na ito" natatawang sabi ko at lumapit kay Zefrianna na ngayun ay nakaupo sa isa sa mga hospital bed habang maraming crayons na nakakalat sa paligid nya. May tangay din itong Cookie's na talagang baon namin at subrang amos nito.
She's still adorable baby of mine. Nakakatanggal ng stress. No wonder kung bakit lagi sya gustong isama ni Death sa office nya. Probably somehow Zefrianna calm him like the way she calms me.
"No worries Doc. Bri hindi naman mahirap mapasaya ang maliit na prinsesa na yan. Hindi rin sya nakakaabala dahil kita nyo naman po abala rin sya sa buhay nya" Tawa ni Mae. Napailing nalang naman ako dun but agad na kinarga si Zef sa braso ko.
"Owww so my baby has been a good girl. I see. In that case... I'll be treating you whatever you like for today's lunch as a reward" Magiliw na sabi ko at ninose to nose ang bulinggit. Nag giggled ito at parehas kami ni Mae na natawa dun.
"Yeyy! Your the betch Mommy! Guchto ko po ng strawberry ice cream and one bucket of jolie bee fried chicken. With friech narin po!" Nagniningning ang mga matang sabi nito. Mas natawa ako dun but tumango narin.
"Ok, Strawberry ice cream and Jolie bee meal coming up" I declared. Binaba ko na rin ito sa kama kaya nag lundag lundag pa ito dun.
"Thank you for looking after her Mae. It's a really big help" marahang baling ko kay Mae. Ngumiti naman ito sa akin at marahang umiling.
"No worries Doc Bri. Masaya naman kabonding ang anak nyo. Ang cute cute nya eh" She admitted at obvious na kitang kita ang pag ka giliw nito kay Zefrianna. Tumango lang naman ako sa kanya with ok responded. After that ay tumawag ako sa food service ng Jolie bee to deliver some food na gusto ni Zefrianna.
"Mommy come. May ipapakita ako chayo po" Tawag ng anak ko. Agad naman akong lumapit sa kanya after ng call sa jolie bee at tiningnan kung ano ang ginawa nya.
"What is it princess?" Nakangiting tanong ko dito. Excited naman itong may kinuha sa likod nya na bond paper at inabot ito sa akin which is I gladly accept at tiningnan yun.
My heart melted in instant.
"I drawn our family Mommy. Thitch ich you po. Mommy Bri. Ako chempre yung cha gitna at chi Daddy itong icha. With lot of lot'ch of flowerch. May magandang araw para sa loving Mommy and Daddy" she happily explain at tinuturo pa ang ginawa nya. Malapad naman akong napangiti dun ng matamis.
"This is the best drawing Princess. Mommy will keep this. Ipapakita natin kay Daddy later. I know he'll be proud to our little artist" I softly said at her. Then marahang pinisi ang pisngi nya. Sunod sunod naman itong tumango sa sinabi ko.
My Princess is an artist. I'll frame this one. Happy Family.

"Welcome Doc Bri. Come again" Magalang na pasalamat sa akin ng kahera ng store na binilhan ko ng ice cream ni Zef. Bumili narin ako ng nga fruits para pag magutom ang bulinggit ay may makakain sya pag asa operation ako. After kanina kase ay inexcuse ko muna ang sarili to go outside since walang strawberry ice cream sa cafeteria dahil ubos na ang stack namin so kinailangan ko pang lumabas. Though it's not really a problem.
And of course tulad ng dati ay marami parin ang bumabati sa akin and I know maraming mga paparazzi sa tabi tabi hiding them selves but I'm not bother. Medyo nasanay narin ako na nakasunod sila sa akin. Matamis ko lang na nginitian pabalik ang kahera pag katapos ay agad naring umalis dahil ayaw ko nang magtagal pa.
Ayaw ko nang pag hintayin ang prinsesa ko. Baka sungitan ako ng isang yun.
Napailing nalang ako.
Habang nag lalakad sa corridor palabas ng store ay may nakabunggo akong lalaki kaya nabitawan ko yung paper bag na dala ko at gumulong ang ilang mansanas sa daan. Halos mag kasabay naman kaming tumungo para kunin iyun.
"Sorry I wasn't looking in the way" mag kasabay na bulalas namin, habang binabalik ang mga mansanas sa paper bag ko.
"Ah eh. It's ok. It's an accident anyway. Thank you" Magalang na pagpapasalamat ko dito, bago tuluyan syang tingalain para makita ang itsura nya. But I just froze in my spot at marahang napakisap ng bumungad sa akin ang isang gwapong lalaki.
"It's ok. And again I'm sorry for the inconvenient.... Ahmm Doc Briar it is huh" He said smirking at me, tiningnan din nito ang kabuuan ko. Natigalgal naman ako dun at medyo natigilan.
I'm not flustered dahil gwapo sya. Mas gulat ako sa fact na familiar ang dating nya sa akin. Specially his aura and the way he talks. Hindi ko pa sya nakikita kahit kailan but I have a feeling nakasama ko na sya sa loob ng matagal na panahon na... And his smirk... I somewhat remember that smirk...
San ko nga ulit nakita ang smirk nayun...?
"Lovely. I see... I'm glad your doing fine" he cockily said again, chuckling. Still his gray eyes examining me. His wearing this sexy smile na para bang may balak ito sa likod ng mga inosenteng ngiting iyun.

I gasp in realization. Gulat akong napatingin sa lalaking kaharap ko at mas lumawak ang ngiti nito dahil sa reaction ko. I blink few more times at pinaka titigan sya.
His tall. Around 6 footer and something. Gray colored eyes. Pointed nose. Thick eyebrows. Sharp jaw. Broaded chest. Perfect hair cut na mas nagpalinaw ng ibang mga signature and qualities nya. Confident and cool.
(I still think Death is far better though. His my man after all.)
Just looking at him... Nakikita ko sa kanya ang lahat ng qualities ni Cloudine! I definitely seeing her in him now! This is absurd. Maybe it's coincident? But... Subrang magkapareho sila.
What the heck really is this...? I can't think right. Probably ay mali lang ako. I mean is that even possible? His a man. A gorgeous man. And cloudine is a girl like me... It's Impossible... I don't believe in reincarnation. Or well at least. I mean it's not actually real. It's just fantasy thingy. Right?
"I know I'm hot love. No need to stare like your ready to eat me" he tease. Like Cloudine always does. I just winch in surprised at medyo naulian. Medyo sinara ko naman ang bibig dahil naka open na pala ng hindi ko namamalayan.
Kahiya hiya ka Briar.
"C-cloudin...?" I utter slowly. Still shock and in confirmation state. Hindi nakatakas sa paningin ko kung paano mas lumapad ang ngiti nito dahil sa tinawag kong pangalan sa kanya.
So... It's really...? It's really her? She's cloudine? Is it even possible?...
He chuckled evily then grinned at me like a cool yet bad guy. Inabot narin nito sa akin ang paper bag na dala ko ng walang ibang nagiging respond at wala akong nagawa dun kundi tanggapin nalang yun kahit medyo lutang pa ako, dahil sa nangyayari. Napasunod rin ang mga mata ko sa kanya ng mag simula na itong mag lakad palayo. But nakakaway ito sa akin.
"It's Klaus now..." I heard he said. Medyo sinulyapan rin ako nito over his shoulder, but patuloy parin sa pag lalakad paalis. I was stunned.
"Klaus..." Mahinang bulong at pag uulit ko sa kung anong ginagamit nyang pangalan.
"His Klaus now... So he really is Cloudine..." Patuloy na bulong ko pa. Ilang minuto na itong wala sa paningin ko but andito parin ako nakatayo dahil sa subrang shock.
So she's not definitely comming back... He has his own life now... As klaus...
I smiled.
"Klaus huh... I bet na hindi ito ang magiging unang pag kikita natin" nakangiting sabi ko sa sarili ko then tumalikod na para magsimula naring maglakad pabalik sa hospital.
