Three years later...
Ary-
We all stood up in suspense as the football spiraled in the air with only a few seconds left in the last quarter, points tied 67-67.
Shawn caught the ball making a touchdown and the crowd immediately went wild before his team ran over towards him
"Touch downnn, Dashawn feilds. LSU is going to the play offs !"
I watched him shine his promise ring towards the camera once he was fully up and I immediately smiled causing Janiyah to look at me
"Look at you, blushing and shit." She said and I smacked my teeth
He started to jog over before I leaned over the stands and he jumped up to peck my lips before also kissing my hand.
"I mean your sister loves you too! " Janiyah yelled as he jogged back and he turned around before signaling half a heart causing us to laugh
"He's something else." I said before watching the team go down the line
Where did time go ? Well let me sum it off for you.
After me and Liyah graduated high school, we both accomplished d1 scholarships, but at different schools.. Aaliyah is attending A&T tech in North Carolina. I'm talking about a FULL ride, and she's been showing her ass on the court. She's been doing well, but of course she's still always in some type of of shit.
She ended up meeting this toxic ass boyfriend and I can just tell something is up with him. Every since he came around he threw Liyah off her game and I find her more on my campus more then she is on hers.
Me on the other hand, am attending Duke university with Janiyah. My scholarship covered a lot but not enough. My family put in the work of making sure everything else was straight so both of our colleges are payed for no student debt. Track started our rougb, but this is the beginning of my junior year and it got easier. The three of us are still in North Carolina together, so we see each other every other day... the only distance is Shawn.
Shawn ended up taking his offer to LSU, and even though I was sad, that was the best decision of his LIFE. He's doing so well and finally getting the recognition that he deserves. Long distance is always hard, but we make it work like always. Me and Janiyah took a flight out here to see him which wasn't a long flight at all. We've took trips together did events together, all of the above.. it's lien he's 5 minutes away and nothing changed at all.
I do be missing my family though, especially my ma, she made everything possible in such little time and I'm so thankful for her. She's been taking care of the new sibling who will be three soon and she's bad as hell.

I phone had rung from Shawn telling us to come to the back of the arena so we left the stadium before showing our passes and heading towards where he told us.
By the time we got back there he was taking pictures with his teammates as a reporter was asking them all types of questions.
"Will you be playing the same position throughout the season ?"
"How are other teammates reacting to the three of you taking over in games ?"
"Are you really taking the offer to A&M university in Texas ?" She asked and I looked at him causing him to look back at me
"Are you ?" She asked again Nd he smiled
" uhh To be continued." He answered before jogging away and towards me
"You're coming back to Texas ??" Niyah asked and he shook his head
"No, I didn't decline the offer at first because I thought about being closer to family, but im not." He said and I looked at him
"Im not." He said before kissing my head
"Why'd you tell he to come back here ?" I asked
"I got something for you." He chuckled before going away for a second and coming back with a shirt
He unfolded it revealing his number on the back and pictures of us on the front with a bunch of more shit. It was oversized as hell though and I furrowed my eyebrows before taking it
"Shawn I can't fit this." I laughed
"Ok hear me out, you stay taking my shit home with you, and I knew you was gonna take a shirt so I grabbed this one out my closet and got it customized for you." He explained and I smiled Before stepping up to him.
He put the shirt over my head and it immediately fell mid thigh causing Janiyah to laugh
People started crowding around us so Shawn moved me by my waist towards the background as the flashes went off and more questioned continued to be asked
"How are you two coping with being the 'It' couple ?"
"Will you be upgrading the promise ring to a wedding ring ?"
"Is there a family in the future ?"
Shawn looked at me before smiling and grabbing my hand
"Mmm to be continued." He answered before we continued to walk off.

Janiyah ended up leaving to tour around, so me and Shawn just went back to his apartment. It's fall season, so he has his apartment all cozy with Halloween decorations around.
We literally layed in bed for hours eating snacks, and watching movies while cuddled up
"So I got somebody that I want you to meet." He said and I looked at him
"I made a close friend that's been like a water manager in the team for s while and she's coo as hell. I just know how messy the outside can be so I did t want you to see anything and assume off of it ?" He asked and I set up
"She..?"
"Yes she, her name is Camryn, I feel like yall would love each other. She already talks about meeting you though because I being you up a lot." He said na I cleared my throat
"I mean sure." I shrugged and he looked at me
"What's on yo mental ?" He asked before pulling me closer
"Nothing." I said and he sighed
"It just feels weird. I'm miles away from you so I don't know her intentions yet you know ?" I asked
"Yeah, but you already know my intentions and that good because it ain't shit to tolerate with her if that's the case." He said and I nodded before he turned over and hovered above me
"You trust me ?" He asked
"Yes I trust yo musty ass" I chuckled and he smacked his teeth before leaning in to kiss my lips.
I wrapped my arms around his neck before allowing him to rest in between my legs and I felt his print press up against me.
I slid my hands down his back and once I reached the bottom of his shirt I pulled it up and over his head causing his head to fall down my my neck. I continued to rub my hands up and down his back until I reached his basketball shorts.
I stuck my hand down them before lightly stroking him and he rand his hand up my body before wrapping his hand around my neck and slightly turning my head to the side before leaning close to my ear And I felt him lick it causing my body to get chills
"You teasing." I said and he chuckled
"Shawn." I poured before he leaned back up and I smacked my teeth
"Tonight." He told me
"That's too long.."I said and he smiled
I got up before pulling him back over by the top of his basketball shorts before sitting back down on the bed and kissing him again while wrapping my arms around his neck
He continued to take my shirt off before continuing to roughly kiss me as he stripped the rest of my clothes off.
I did the same to him before he slightly picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his body before I felt him resting at my entrance. He grabbed it before rubbing it against me and my head fell back because he was teasing
"Shawn." I sighed and he gave me a smirk before he finally out it in but midway he rammed and I immediately moaned loud as hell before arching my back
He continued to stroke and I left scratches all over his back causing him to pin my arms above my head

It got to the point where it kept slipping out so he slid out for slightly groaning under his breath

This basketball shit and money was my only focus right now, but basketball is literally beating my ass everyday... it's so hard.
"Practice is over, don't forget to be on time tomorrow for the mandatory drug test. No show, no play time in the game Friday." She said and I raised my eyebrows
"Since when?" I asked Sydney and she shrugged
"I've never heard her bring that shit up." She said and I shook my head before getting up and sliding on slides
Sydney is a friend and also my roommate that I've been living with in student housing for about a year now. She deadass keeps me focus and motivated with how out together and nice she is.
I went straight to my car before driving to my apartment and dropping everything as soon as I got in the house
"Damn so you haven't seen me calling you ?

"Not guilty." The judge gambled and I smiled before looking at my client who had shook my hand
Everyone started to to conversate as I quickly packed up because I knew shit was finna get crazy.
I helped him up before we walked out the doors and she held her head down as everybody crowded the court
"He's a murder ! You're protecting a murder !"
"No he's a kid." I spoke before helping her through the crowd.
"You and your granny has paperwork, but I'll just bring it by tomorrow morning, get some rest." I told her and he nodded
Let me explain this case..
Malik is 19, but he was getting framed for "rape" over a white teen at a college party. Of course there was so much white privilege in this case, and we went through multiple or court cases with him being found guilty. This case to almost up to a year to get his name cleared and I finally got the evidence of who do it and covered it on him.

She broke and admitted to it after evidence got brought up and it's crazy how still some people are believing that she was just trying to help herself, that shit wasn't right and they put this boy through so much.

My phone started to ring from Ari and o quickly answered before attempting to move through the crowd

I struggled getting through until finally I saw Zay also pushing towards the crowd and he made it to me before moving everybody out the way and helping me through
"Damn these people are fucking crazy.." he said as we finally base it to the car and he opened the door helping me in before going to the other side wnd driving off but people started crowding the car causing me to sigh loudly
"I have to pick up London from Ari and she has to go" I said and he sighed Before swerving the car onto another street and pulling off quickly.
"I'm just glad that it's finally done, I felt bad" Zay said
I finally got my license and now I work for MYSELF. I take on so many cases and I've been making hella money. It's hard though, it's like I'm busy 24/7 and I have to make sure I'm prioritizing London at the same time.
"Have you thought about daycare ?" Zay asked
"I mean yea, but I don't know if I trust that." I said and he nodded
"I mean it's up to you, but I think she'll like it, she's already a open kid." He said and I lightly laughed
London is three going on to four and she's already talking good as hell with a bad ass attitude. I gave everybody hell during my pregnancy and she literally came out me times ten. She's soo smart, and at a first I was upset because I was having another girl but she's literally my broke Bestie.
We pulled up to Ari's and I got out before going inside only to see London eating McDonald's
"You're late." She said nicely with a nugget in her hand and j tilted my head
"Where's Aunty ri ?" I asked Ans she pointed to the kitchen
I went inside to see her on the computer and I sighed
"My bad girl we got caught up in all that shit." I said
"You good, I got about 10 minutes before I have to be there, you ok?" She asked me and I nodded

"Well wine is in the cabinet, I would pour up with you but I gotta goo." She told me before hugging me and leaving out
I went into the living room where London was sitting with Zay and she gave me a smile
"What did aunty Ri get you ?" I asked and she held up a nugget Before standing it to Zay
"Thank you." He chuckled
"What if I wanted a nugget ?" I asked and she looked at me before giggling
London has met and seen kash plenty of times, and I love the love they they have for each other, I can tell that it's eating him up not being able to be with her though
I let her finish up her happy meal as me and Zay continued to talk.
Other than me graduating law school and Hmm finally becoming a lawyer life's been the same. I genuinely got my shit together, got my baby's to college, and kept shit straight all by myself.
Zay, Brian, Ari of course has been by my side, but they definitely made life fun. Small trips, family nights, whatever we did was a movie foreal.
Me and Zay got so much closer as friends and it's nice having him around because him and London are literally like besties as y'all can see. Sometimes it really so be my own daughter when his ass is around but it's all good.
"Are you coming to the club event tonight ?" Zay asked
"I want too, I'm just tired as hell." I said
"You should come out, you've been working nonstop." He chuckled and I nodded
"I'll see." I said before picking up London who was done with her food
"I'll see." He mocked and I smacked my teeth
"You play all day." All I laughed
"Should've left yo ass in that mob." He said and I busted out laughing
London raised her eyebrows before putting her finger over her mouth

Kaliyah was coming in town for the first time in forever and I missed my crazy ass sister. Her ass has been MIA for the longest and I can't wait to see her.

Once we walked into the mall we saw a pretty brown skin girl smile and walk over to us
"Hey girl You must be Ary, I've heard a lot about you, I'm Camryn." She introduced before I smiled and gave her a side hug
"I don't know why she trynna act all nice like she not evil as hell." Shawn said and she smacked her teeth
"I don't know how you putting up with his crybaby ass." She said and we all laughed
We waited for Janiyah and once she finally got there camyrn introduced herself again and they talked for a bit before Janiyah looked at me
"Can you help me with this bra strap ?" She asked me before pulling me away from them and I raised my eyebrows
"Who is that hoe?" She asked
"Uhhh cammy cam." I mocked and she busted out laughing
"Nah she seems coo, let's be nice.. give her a chance at least." I said

The worker went back to check before eventually coming back with the box. I tried to those on before moving around and eventually putting the shoes back I. The box

"I was gonna bring it up, I just didn't know when-

"Good luck." I said before walking off and I heard her sigh
"Hold on." I heard Shawn tell Camryrn before he caught up with me

"What you doing ?" He asked
"I can Uber back to your apartment so you can stay with Camryn and Niyah, the vibe gon be off anyways ." I said and he smacked his teeth before taking my phone.
"If you wanna go back I'll take you back, but I'm not letting yo ass Uber so you might as well get a lil attitude with that too." He said and I smacked my teeth and putting my hand out for my phone
"Coo, I'll wait in the food court, do what y'all gotta do." I told him before taking it back and walking off
I wasn't trying to have a attitude, I honestly didn't care. I just don't like being fucked around with or feeling I'm constantly being lied to 24/7.
Kay-
Later that night.
"Please, how come you done had three kids and yo body still snatched when I dun had ONE and it's giving potato." Ari said and I busted out laughing
I had on black leather pants with a laced dark res body suit along with some heels. My hair was curled and I had some slight makeup on with accessories
"Girl your body is perfect, my ass been like this since high school I ain't growing clearly." I said and she laughed
We got into the car before driving towards the club and Ari started playing music
"It feels like you haven't been to the club in so long." She said
"Cause I be too busy running it." I laughed
"You definitely did hold this shit down for Kash's ungrateful ass, he's gonna be so happy when he comes home." Ari said
"It's gonna be weird, cause is he gonna expect to still live together..?" I asked and Ari looked at me
"He can go live with whoever that bitch was that was on his visitation list." Ari said and I busted out laughing
"Ayo don't start yo shit tonight." I said as she continued to laugh.

We walked straight to section X seeing Brian, Zay, and a few other niggas
"Wassup sis." Brian said before hugging me and kissing Ari.
I was I could explain what the hell they are... they live together, but they don't live together, they fucking each other, but they fucking somebody else, they together, but they not together ? It's complicated... one thing I do know is they do love each other, they just in that stage I guess ?
I sat besides Zay who also hugged me and he already looked high as hell because his eyes was damn near shut
He tilted his head before looking me up and down and I smacked my teeth before laughing
"What ?" I asked
"Nothing you look nice." He told me and nodded before returning the compliment
"Y'all ordering our drinks tonight or do I have to pay at my own club ?" I asked and Brian chuckled
"I got you hold on." Brian said before getting up
"It's packed." I said having to talk loud because of the music bumping
"It's like this every Friday literally." He chuckled and I nodded before Brian came back with a tray FULL of drinks
"Yo alcoholic ass, 'white girl waisteddd'" Zay mocked and I smacked my teeth before getting up.
Everyone downed the first shot and we got shit turnt from there.

Me and Ari continued to make snaps together as we hit the hookahs and we were honestly already fucked up.
We had plenty of drinks, plenty of weed, and we definitely was turnt
"Who's London with ?" Brian asked
"She stayed with Kaliyah and I think she took her to one of her little cousin's sleepover sos he's gone for the night." I told him and he nodded
"You drove ?" Brian asked and I nodded
"Yup."
"Let me know when you ready so I can drive you back." He said and I smacked my teeth
"I'm not that drunk." I told him
"But you will be." He laughed and I rolled my eyes before laughing with him.
We continued turning up with the crowd downing even more drinks until finally Zay took a cup out of my hand
"Ight y'all done in cutting yall off." Zay laughed and I smacked my teeth
"You the one who told me I needed to have fun, and you fucked up too." I said and he laughed
"Ight ight yea I am fucked up." He lightly laughed with his eyes still low as hell.
He continued to stare me up and down catching my attention and I literally felt chills down my body

The next morning..
I woke up to my head pounding and I sighed before slightly sitting up to the sun slightly shining in
I looked to the left of me to see Tylenol and a bottle of water sitting beside me and I smiled before taking them and slightly rubbing my head
As I fully woke up I furrowed my eyebrows noticing that I was butt ass naked and my bed was messy... messy. I raised my eyebrows before immediately jumping up and throwing a rob over my body.
As soon as I was getting ready to leave the door opened and Zay walked in with a concerned look on his face
We made eye contact before it hit me and I immediately broke eye contact.
"Kayonna-
"Did you take advantage of me while I was drunk ?" I asked and he furrowed his eyebrows
"Never." He immediately said
"I don't even know half of what The fuck happened either, I woke up with you in my arms and that shit clicked with me too. I got up but I didn't wanna leave you confused so-
"You gotta go." I interrupted
"Kayonna.." he sighed
"You gotta go." I said slightly louder before attempting to push him out the room but he lightly grabbed my arm before staring down at me and we sat in eye contact for awhile
