" You call me a villain, yet the only thing I search for is peace and harmony. You call me a monster, yet I am doing the true work of a hero. You call me egoistic, yet I am the one who will suffer and lose the most out of all of you. Believe me, I don't like this path either. I'm sure nobody would like this path. I didn't choose this. Unfortunately, it's the only one left for a person such as me"

Tomorrow is the test day.

As far as I can tell the library is packed with students mainly students from the lower classes being classes D and B.

Me being the genius that I am came to get a book not to study. This school has a wide range of books, far more than an average school library would.

Besides, I also seem to have found a companion. Her name is Hiyori Shiina from Class C.

She also has an interest in books just like me and our preferences were rather alike.

If you look at her closely she can be considered a beauty and rather cute to boot.  It also seems like she's not affiliated with the current situation in Class C. She told me numerous things, such as there was a person called Ryuen who was the class leader.

Well after he forced everyone.

There also was Albert who apparently was a gentle giant that likes flags and there's Ishizaki who was Ryuen's right-hand man.

If Ryuen remains as the leader, Class C will most likely become Class A's greatest threat.

However, that will be a problem for later. If he is who Shiina described him as he will likely start with attacking class D. It is human intuition to target the weak and they are the weakest class.

Then once they are no longer a threat he likely will focus on class B.

Class B's main strength is unity and friendship, however, that can be easily broken with a few twists and turns.

Class D will forever remain as class D and Class B will mostly drop down to Class C.

As for class A, Sakayanagi seems to have it covered.

Katsuragi or Johnny so to say, is too naive.

He likely won't be able to keep up with Sakayanagi's movements and ultimately step down or fail as a leader.

Class A will likel-

"Ayanokoji-kun you have been staring at me for quite some time now. What are you thinking about?"

Oh, I guess I was caught.

"Sorry I was just lost in thought"

"About what?"

"The situation about the possibility of there being competition between the classes "

"Ayanokoji-kun you worry too much. we'll be friends no matter what. If a conflict ever arises between the classes I will still be your friend "

Something else is arising while staring at you.....

And It's Not the Shield Hero

Kidding lol

She really is an angel, I'm glad she was the first person I've befriended.

"Oh yeah I almost forgot, Ayanokoji I've brought some more books for you to try today"

From her backpack which seemed awfully heavy, she brought out three books. And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie,  The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler and how to make friends for dummies.

Two mystery novels and a book I've never seen before. Judging by the title it seems to be a manual of some sort.

I've already read both And Then There Were None and The Big Sleep so logically I should take how to make friends for dummies but......

"I'll take how to make friends for dummies."

"Good Choice Ayanokoji-kun"

I don't know what to say.

Is she trying to help me make friends, or is she mocking me? Considering the angel she is I can only assume that she is helping me but that was a way to straightforward attempt of saying

You need more friends.

I guess there's only one thing to say

"I appreciate your kindness Hiyori-Sensei"

"You're very welcome, Ayanokoji-kun!"

I then was hit with a smile that was brighter than the sun.

The day of the test arrived.

The class seemed to be rather tense, despite Sensei informing them that it will not affect their report card.

I can only assume something happened while I wasn't here or if I just wasn't included.

Sakayanagi likely informed the class that this test will affect class points.

After all, she figured out the truth being the S-system on the first day

I do have my suspicions that her father is informing her of how this school operates. However, if exposed her father's position as this school's chairman will likely be jeopardized.

I can't see him risking his job to help his daughter save a few private points. He is a logical man after all.

I can only assume that she made contact with him. I'll have to become more informed of her movements, I'd rather not get caught up in a crossfire that has nothing to do with me.

"Alright class, I will begin handing out the tests. The test is eight pages long. Cheating is forbidden and will result in immediate expulsion. Calculators are allowed as there are some questions that will require more complex formulas. You have 2.5 Hours."

"I advise completing the mathematics sections first and leaving Japanese and English for later. that is all

You may begin"

I also recently learned my seatmate to the left of me is named Masumi Kamuro. She also likes beer as I saw her stealing some from a convenience store a couple of days ago.

I suppose that will be a great catalyst for a conversation. Hiyori's book has taught me many things. I'm very grateful towards her.

Mutual interest in certain topics can often develop into friendships as both people have a common ground where they are comfortable expressing their interests.

I'll try to talk to her after this test and try to-

"Ayanokoji, it would be smart to start your test. It's not going to finish itself"

Some people are snickering at me

"He probably is stuck on the first question, after all, he just daydreamed during class"

Someone said while laughing

"Probably haha"

"Focus on your own tests, everyone is at a different level on their academics. The next person who speaks will be getting zero on the test"

Your right Sensei. Everyone is at different levels here

And I'm about 8 years ahead of everyone

I Should start the test

I flipped to the math section.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary if you played attention in class and did the work.

Every question was answerable, however with some requiring more critical thinking.

That was until the last two open-ended questions which I immediately identified as questions that were not taught until later years.

With one requiring derivatives and one requiring knowledge about rates. I completed the first one without any difficulty, however on the last one.....

The volume of a cylindrical tin can with a top and bottom is to be 16π cubic inches. If a minimum amount of tin is to be used to construct the can, what must be the height, in inches, of the can?  Show all work for maximum marks

Well the Volume of a cylinder is πr2h. Where r = radius and h = height

πr2h = 16π since it is stating the volume to be 16π cubic inches

h = 16/(r2)

dh/dr = -16/(r)

Then i'll find the derivative of the volume and set it equal to zero to find the minimum amount of tin it will take to make the can.

dV/dr = 2πrh + πr2(dh/dr) dV=derivative of volume with respect to time

dV/dr = 2πr16/(r2) + πr2(-16/(r)) dr=derivative of radius with respect to time

0 =  32π/(r) - 16πr

Solve for r

32π/(r) = 16πr

2/(r) = r

r = Sqrt(2)

Plug r in to h

h = 16/(r2)

h = 16/(Sqrt(2)2)

h = 8

Answer is 8

I also completed without any difficulty

I then flipped to the science section and found the same pattern with two questions being unanswerable as one required knowledge about gravitational formulas and the other required knowledge about electric currents.

I also completed those without any difficulty.

The sections on Japanese, English and History were answerable, The last few if you were able to identify what the question was asking and managed to use the process of elimination and managed to narrow it down to two answers were also answerable.

There were also a few questions that required little to no thinking. You would have to be retarded to fail this test.

A high score around the 70-80s range is easily achievable however, you would have to go beyond what the school is asking you to learn to score in the high 90s.

I can already predict that the smartest students will score a max of 86/100 with possibly a select few getting around 90/100. Anything over that will likely be impossible.

I wonder if the school, made this test with the score of just barely an A intentional?

However, I can't be making assumptions this early on, as my knowledge is limited on the academic abilities of this class.

I glanced at my seatmate Kamuro and she is just starting the second page. I guess that she is above average in her academics.

It's just past 20 minutes and I've finished the test.

I suppose a nap wouldn't hurt

Gotta replenish my hormones for my night activities
