We get our sights on Y/n, Filia, Squigly, and Nadia as they walked through the streets of Maplecrest as the sun began to set and the streets were illuminated by streetlamps that were spread along the pavement as Nadia looked around the place and whistled in amusement
Nadia: "So Skeletron Prime, you live in this neighborhood?"
Y/n: "Yeah, why do you ask?"
Nadia: "Just making some small talk, seems like an alright place...it's a little boring looking though"
Y/n: "Yeah, I thought it would've made the perfect place to lay low, but sadly that wasn't the case, barely a day here and I was already on the Medici's watch list"
Nadia: "Ha! I feel ya, I've been on their list for a while now"
Y/n: "Yeah, how long exactly though?"
Nadia: "I'd have to guess...a few months, I think?"
Y/n: "Wow, really? And how come they've not been able to catch you yet?"
Nadia: "I'm just that good, it's hard to catch someone who can split her body into multiple pieces like thi-"
Filia: "Please don't do it again, I don't think I could stand seeing a sight like that for a third time tonight"
Nadia: "Well, aren't you a killjoy, fiiiine, I won't do it again...for now"
Filia: "Phew, thank you Nadia"
Nadia: "Whatever, don't be surprised if you wake up with my head in your bed tomorrow though~"
Filia: "E-Eh?! You wouldn't!"
Nadia: "How do you know that? You've only just met me today"
Filia: "W-Well, I-i just assumed that...Hmph!"
With a pout, Filia then started storming off towards the house as Nadia giggles before she starts skipping after Filia
Nadia: "Nyaaww, wait up Filia!"
Filia: "Stay away from me!"
Nadia: "Nyo can do~!"
Nadia then started chasing after the now running Filia which left Y/n, Leviathan, and Squigly on their own as they laughed at their friend's antics before they eventually calmed down and walked in silence before Y/n up
Y/n: "Hey Uh...I just wanted to say, thanks for risking your safety to look for me you two, you didn't have to do that, you know"
Squigly: "Oh! You don't have to apologize! Of course I'd try and look for you, you're my friend, I'm just glad you're ok!"
Leviathan: "I too am glad you're in good health Mr. L/n, after everything you've done for us, It wouldn't've felt right if we left you to your fate after being taken by those dreadful Medici monsters"
Squigly: "Exactly! But you know... when we finally met up again, only for you to send me and Leviathan away again, I was scared that you'd die, and if you died not only would I lose a friend, I would've too"
Squigly looked down as they kept walking before she was snapped from her thoughts by Y/n wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her into a hug, earning a small squeak of surprise from the undead girl as they had both stopped walking and Leviathan stayed silent, unsure of what to say right now
Y/n: "Hey now, don't think like that, I can give you my word that there is no way I'll be dying on you or anyone else, any time soon"
Squigly: "Promise?"
Y/n: "I promise"
Squigly: "...Thank you, that means a lot to me"
Y/n: "No problem, now, how about we catch up to the others?"
Squigly: "Yeah, that sounds good"
Y/n: "Alright, now, give me your hands"
Squigly raised an eyebrow in questioning but did as Y/n asked and before she knew it, Y/n turned his back to her, wrapped her arms around his neck and hoisted her onto his back, making her yelp as he started walking, giving her a piggyback ride, making sure to hook his arms around her legs to make sure she didn't fall off before they both started laughing with joy and Y/n's walk turned to a jog
While they were going up the dark street however, they were stopped by the sound of a mature, seductive voice calling out to them from behind, and at the volume, it sounded like they were pretty far behind
???: "Yoohoo~!"
When the two turned around, they spotted Valentine who was standing under the light of a streetlamp, dressed in her usual Nurse's outfit as she started speaking again
Valentine: "Well well well, what do we have here? A man with the skull heart and his undead girlfriend, a very interesting duo. The two of you have caused quite a stir you know~"
Feeling the tense situation, Y/n carefully let Squigly back onto the ground as she stood beside him on Y/n's left and Leviathan showed himself which also caught Valentine by surprise
Valentine: "Oh? A Parasite? oh I'm going to have fun seeing what makes you tick little cadaver"
Y/n: "Just who are you, and what are you talking about?"
Valentine: "Oh my name's not important dear, but why I am here is. You see, my boss has grown an interest in you and told us to bring you back for experimenting"
Y/n: "What do you mean 'Us'?"
Despite the face mask she had on, Valentine smirked as she pointed to her left and looking in that direction, Y/n was met face to face with a burlap cloth mask and a pair of glowing red eyes
Y/n: "...Hello there"
???: "Rrrraaaarrrghh!"
The sound of a whirling blade was heard as Y/n grabbed Squigly and disappeared in a flash of fire before reappearing a few feet away from where they were as a large blade similar in design to that of a Japanese shuriken collided with the spot they were just standing in, cracking the ground as the person stepped into the light
They were a young woman with pale skin and brown hair tied up at the back. She had shackles on her wrists, ankles, and around her neck with nails sticking out of the top of her head, in her shoulders, and thighs, her clothing consisted of a ragged dress that showed off her malnourished body while her face was hidden by a burlap mask that had cross shaped stiches making it sewn to her face while her eyes gave off an artificial red glow and her nails were a blackish red color thanks to blood that had clotted underneath her nails

Seeing the state the girl was in, Y/n and Squigly couldn't help but gasp in horror as they stepped back from the girl as she shambled towards them like a zombie and Y/n spotted something on a nearby roof and he narrowed his eyes
Y/n: "Squigly, Leviathan, go get Nadia and the others"
Squigly: "What? but we can fight! You don't have to keep telling me to run for safety"
Leviathan: "It is true Y/n, you do not need to put yourself at risk, with us by your side, these ruffians stand no chance against us!"
Y/n: "And I don't doubt either of you for a second, but those two aren't the only people here, look"
Y/n then pointed towards one of the house roofs and everyone followed it to see Nonother than Black Dahlia and Cerebella standing on the top of the house, illuminated by the moonlight as she watched them all, the sight of the Black Dahlia making Squigly and leviathan gasp as the former started trembling
Squigly: "I-It's her!"
Leviathan: "Black Dahlia...Ms. Squigly, I think it's best we go get our Ms. Fortune and Ms. Filia! We'll need all the help we can get if we hope to stand a chance against two Anti-Skullgirl weapons!"
Squigly didn't respond as she was still focusing on Dahlia, flashes of memories going through her mind before she was snapped out of it by Y/n who got in front of her and put his hand on her cheek
Y/n: "Hey! Listen Squigly, run, I'll be able to handle them just fine for a while, you go get the others, ok?"
Squigly: "B-But Y/n, that woman was created to fight people like you! She's...She's a monster!"
Y/n: "Then what better to fight a monster than with another monster? Now go on, I've got this"
Squigly: "You better"
With a wink, Y/n then cracked his knuckles as he turned to face the attackers while Squigly took off running after looking at Y/n once again, hoping to get to her friends in time as Y/n could be heard speaking
Y/n: "Well now, let's see; the moon's high in the sky, there's a crisp chill in the air, and I'm confronted by not one, but four people who want to whisk me away for whatever nefarious deeds they wish to commit. Yep, this is a great night for a street fight, let's dance!"
