"He's drunk. Let me take him home"
I don't know why but Haechan looks mad. I let him take Jaemin home because I feel like they have something to talk about. I want to give them privacy
It took Haechan 30 minutes to come back which means there's really something going on. I waited for him in the kitchen because my curiosity won't let me sleep
"How is he?" I asked
He looked at me with his soulless eyes like he already expected to see me here
"He's fine. He's just drunk" he answered shortly and was about to go upstairs when I stopped him
"Is there something going on? Jaemin cried. Did he tell you something?" I asked worriedly
He took a deep breath and keep on whisphering something that I can't understand. I heard him saying profanities so I was taken aback
"I'm sorry---"
"You trust Jaemin, right?" he suddenly asked
"Eh?" I asked confusedly but he just remained silent like he's waiting for my answer
"O-Of course. I trust him" I answered
"Jaemin might change. Things might change but I want you to trust and understand him. Can you do that, Ryujin-ah?" he seriously asked
Jaemin might change? But why?
"W-Wait, you're making me nervous. Can you tell me what's going on?" I laughed awkwardly
"Jaemin doesn't want you to know. I don't want you to know either. It's better for you to be clueless about it until Jaemin fixed everything" he held my shoulders and smiled
"Trust your boyfriend. Trust me. Trust us"
For some reasons, the uneasiness and my worries suddenly vanished because of what he said. I can feel his sincerity. I want to know what's going on but I think I need to respect their decision
"Okay. I trust you" I said and smiled
We both go upstairs. I was about to enter my room when Haechan spoke
"Please don't leave his side. He's willing to walk on the sea of fire just to be with you in the end" he meaningfully said before he entered his room
What he said never left my mind. I started looking back at what happened these past few days and weeks to guess what's going on with Jaemin
We're all good these past few weeks. I can't remember anything bad that happened except our first argument in France
Oh wait...
Jaemin came to Daegu when Ji Eun woke up but he never mentioned anything that happened while he was there. He never opened up about it. I never asked even though I'm curious because I thought he will mention it once he didn't
Was it because of her?

I rolled my eyes when Beomgyu didn't answered my call. He's always like this these days. He's always rejecting my calls and will ask me to just text what I wanted to say
I'm starting to hold a grudge against him
I miss him so much that's why I'm calling him. How can I say that on text? I also want to ask how is he and what's the results of the election but I can't because he's not answering my calls!
I am on my way to the restroom when someone suddenly grabbed me and hugged me. There's no need for me to check on who's hugging me because I can tell that it's right away because of his scent
"I'm sorry about last night. I drank a lot"
I smiled and hugged him back. I always miss him even though we always see each other
I want to ask him about his problem but I'm stopping myself because I want to respect his decision. I believe that they don't want to tell me about it because they think that it's the best. I trust them so I guess I'll not mention about it
"Are you okay?" I asked
This is the least I can do. To check on him
"I'm okay whenever you're near me" he whispered but loud enough for me to hear it. I hugged him tighter when I heard his deep breath
"You know that I'm always here for you, right?"
"Mm" he nodded
I broke our hug and held his face. He looks tired and you can clearly tell that he's going through something because of how lousy his shoulders are
I noticed the bruise on his lips so I touched it. He immediately avoided my hand and looked away
"Your father is hurting you again?" I calmly asked
"No. We just had an argument" he smiled weakly but I can tell that he's lying
"Have you eaten yet? I'm hungry. Let's eat outside" he said, obviously changing the topic
"Let's go? I'm hungry too" I lied, I actually just ate with Haechan on the rooftop
We're both holding each other's hand freely since all the students are still in their classes. When we reached the gate, Jaemin suddenly stopped from walking and almost let go of my hand
"What's wrong?" I asked when I noticed that he's panicking. He's just looking outside the gate so I looked at what he's looking at and saw Mrs. Haze with Ji Eun. They're both crossing the road now. Jaemin immediately grabbed me and we both ran until we reached the garden
I looked at him confusedly because of what he did. I can't understand the look on his face earlier when he saw Ji Eun
"I'm sorry about that. I'm really sorry"
"Hey, it's okay" I smiled at him even though I'm really confused why he did that
His phone later on rang. I immediately looked away when I saw who called him. He excused himself and walked away. I avoided looking at him to give him privacy but I just can't stop myself from looking at his reaction
He looks mad while talking to Ji Eun on his phone. He even cursed after he ended the call. I pretended that I didn't saw anything when he came back
"I'm sorry but I don't think we can still eat outside. Ji Eun called me. We have something urgent to do"
I'm relieved that he didn't lied about who called him. I smiled brightly at him to make him feel that I'm okay because I can see from his eyes that he felt bad for cancelling our plan
"It's okay, don't worry"
"I'm really sorry, let's just eat dinner later together. I promise, I won't ditch you again" he said so I laughed
"Okay"
He waved his hand at me before he left. I waved back at him with a smile before I decided to go to my next classes
While I was walking on the 2nd floor's hallway I looked back and saw Jaemin walking with Ji Eun now. Ji Eun looks so happy while talking to Jaemin even though it's obvious that Jaemin was not listening because of the airpods on his ears
He's not giving her any attention...
But why am I jealous?
"I hate this..." I whispered to myself
"Hate what?"
I almost cursed when Younghoon suddenly showed up, eating ice cream. He offered me an ice cream so I accepted it. We never talked since our last argument so it's quite surprising that he's talking to me right now
But after all...

"I hate your sister" I honestly said
I expected him to get mad at me because of what I said but he just laughed and shook his head like there's something funny about what I said
"I can't blame you. I would hate her too if I were you"
My brows furrowed because of what he said. He said it so naturally which made me confused. Didn't he just got mad at me because of his sister and now he's talking shit about her?
"What do you mean?"
"Nothing. I just realized that we don't know our sister well" he looked at me and smiled weakly "I'm sorry about what happened last time. I'm still blind that time"
I guess he already saw Ji Eun's dark side...

"I understand if you can't forgive me. I said a lot of things that hurt your feeli---"
He can't continue what he was supposed to say when I offered my hand. He looked at me and my hands confusedly
"What you said didn't hurt me. I was hurt because you started avoiding me. My life became a little bit boring because of that"
He laughed because of what I said
"So you just want me around because I'm entertaining?" he asked
I looked up and acted like I'm thinking deeply
"No, you're also handsome. You're visual can brighten up the atmosphere"
I laughed really loud when he started blushing. He hid his face using his hand and turned his back against me
"S-So we're good now?" he asked, wanted to make sure. I nodded and eat the ice cream that he gave
"I have to go now" I said when he suddenly spoke
"Jaemin" I stopped from walking and looked at him "Protect him..." he gave me a serious look before turning his back against me

Our class just ended. We're now eating together with the other elites. Everyone is here except Jaemin, Ji Eun and Haechan.
Jaemin and Haechan are on a meeting about the continuation of Interhigh. Sunghoon was supposed to be with them but he's too lazy to attend the meeting that's why he's with us
Ji Eun. No one knows where she is. Probably with Mrs. Haze? Honestly, the elites doesn't care about her and I'm quite surprised about that. I thought they're all friends before but I never saw them hanging out with Ji Eun. They're talking to her but only when Ji Eun initiates the conversation

"Unnie. How's Beomgyu?" Yuna asked while eating strawberry ice cream. She probably remembered Beomgyu when she saw the strawberry ice cream

I immediately ended the call and texted Beomgyu

After a few minutes he answered my call but he refused to do a video call

"Are you okay?"
He remained silent after I asked that. After few minutes I heard his sobs. The tears started to form on my eyes because I can tell from his sobs that he's hurting because of what happened
"I lost my position as the school's president, Ryujin-ah. I don't know what to do anymore. That's the only thing that I have that can make my parents proud but I failed to protect it"
"Tell me everything. I'm listening" I calmly said
"Arin betrayed me. She told me that she wants to be my secretary because she wants to help me on my duties that's why I helped her. I didn't know that she just planned everything. She formed an alliance with my vice president and secretary to get my position. I shouldn't have trusted her. I should've believed you, Ryujin-ah"
I clenched my fist because of anger
It's you again, Arin
"I don't know what to do anymore Ryujin-ah. My parents are so disappointed in me. I'm afraid to be useless"
Just like what I expected. They expressed their disappointment in him instead of comforting him
Why do parents like them exist?

He ended the call after I said that. I laid on my bed and closed my eyes. I already saved a lot of money. Starting from the money that I'm earning from Mrs. Lee and my allowance as an ace

I didn't bothered to ask where Jaemin is because I know that he's with Ji Eun. I'm already starting to get used to it
We're here in the school's cafeteria, eating lunch. Jaemin was not eating lunch with us anymore. We also rarely meet each other at school but we're always together at night
I heard from Haechan that Ji Eun and Jaemin are assigned in a project that's why they're always together these days. I have no idea about that project because Jaemin never mentioned about it
Whenever Jaemin and I are meeting up at night, he's always acting normal even though I can tell that he's tired
He always ask me about my day and listen to my problems and rants about life but never talk about his

He looked so down earlier while listening to his coach but he immediately changed when he saw me. His now smiling at me brightly

We decided to stop at their locker room because they still need to left their shoes on their locker. I'm just waiting outside when I saw a shadow at the end of the hallway
For some reasons, I decided to follow it. I confirmed that it's a human when I heard footsteps. I decided to follow it silently. My brows furrowed when I realized who he is. He's wearing a mask but I can clearly tell that it's him because of his unique eye
I was about to approach him when he suddenly jumped over the wall
What the hell is he doing here?
My question was answered when I heard a loud scream on the girl's locker area. I immediately run to the girl's locker room and saw blood dripping on the floor
"Who the hell put this here?" Haechan angrily asked pertaining to the blades placed on Ji Eun's locker's handle
Someone obviously purposely did that to harm Ji Eun...
"What's happening here?" Yeji suddenly came. I looked at her suspiciously. I don't know if I can still trust her after seeing her twin brother before this incident happened
Yeah, that's right. The shadow at the end of the hallway was Hwang Hyunjin
"What the hell?"
Jaemin came. He immediately used his handkerchief to wrap on Ji Eun's wounds. My lips parted when Ji Eun suddenly hugged him. She's panicking so Jaemin tried to calm her down by patting her back
"She's the one who did this. She's avenging Winter's death! She's blaming me for what happened to her sister but I didn't do anything! I didn't hurt Winter! Believe me, Jaemin-ah"
"Calm down, we believe you" Jaemin answered
I looked away and noticed that Haechan was staring at me. I ignored him and dragged Yeji outside
It's not the right time for me to be jealous
"Ji Eun knows about Winter's sibling. She just mentioned her gender!" Yeji said
Yeah, I heard it
I observed Yeji's reaction and her reactions are obviously real. I guess she has no idea about what her twin brother is doing
I don't know if Hyunjin did this but I'm sure that he's related to this. The girl's locker room was located at the end of the hallway where I saw him earlier
Why does he have to jump over the wall?
It's either he's just being weird or he's really trying to escape
My thoughts vanished when we heard another scream. I started to panic when I realized that the scream was familiar
"H-Haruto"
I immediately run to where I heard his scream but his scream vanished so I don't know where to find him. I checked the room one by one and found him on the laboratory
"What happened?"
I immediately approached him
"Oh, noona?" he innocently asked
I looked at him and realized that he's okay
"Why did you scream?"
"Ah, a snake suddenly appeared while I was cleaning the laboratory. Gladly, Heejin-noona came to catch the snake" he explained

Why would a snake suddenly appear here?

We was about to leave the laboratory when Ji Eun came. She immediately went to Haruto and asked how is he. She also checked his body to see if he's harmed after Haruto told her that he saw a snake
Haruto was shocked because of he reaction. She's so worried to the point that she forgot about her wounds just to check Haruto
For some reasons, I smiled while watching them

"I'm planning to go to Daegu this weekend. Beomgyu needs me"
I am here in my room together with Jaemin. I'm reviewing my notes while he's eating on my bed
"Cheer him up for me" Jaemin said so I smiled
After 15 minutes of reviewing I decided to sat beside Jaemin who's now sleeping. I stared at his face and noticed his dark circles under his eyes. You can clearly tell that he's not sleeping well
"You should take care of yourself more" I whispered to him and fixed the blanket on his body
I was about to give him a kiss when his phone received a notification. Jaemin was in a deep sleep that's why he didn't heard it. I'm hesitating whether I should check it or not because I want to respect his privacy but what if it's his mom? What if it's an emergency?
In the end I decided to check it. I know his password. It's my birthday and our anniversary date. I smiled when I saw his wallpaper

But my smile slowly faded when I realized that the notification was a text message from Ji Eun. For some reasons, I'm nervous to see their conversation. I looked at Jaemin who's still sleeping peacefully

I almost dropped Jaemin's phone but I tried my best to calm down. I stood up and left the room silently. I bit my lips to stop my tears from falling but I failed. I covered my face and cried

I didn't confirmed anything. What Ji Eun said in the text message was still not confirmed. I trust Jaemin. I should ask Jaemin first about it

"We need to go downstairs" he seriously said
We both go downstairs just like what he said and I'm quite surprised when I saw all the Lee's seriously sitting on the long table. None of them are smiling or making any noise. Mr and Mrs Lee's eyes are swollen. It looks like they cried
Haechan and I sat beside each other
"I'm here to announce that your dad and I needs to go to US. Your uncle Johnny died so we need to go there" Mrs. Lee said
My jaw dropped when I heard that. Chaeryeong and Mr. Lee started to cry silently. Juyeon and Mark immediately comforted Chaeryeong and their dad. I don't know how to react because I didn't know who uncle Johnny is
"We're going to stay there for a week and we're leaving tomorrow. Mark is going to be incharge while we're gone. That's all"
"I'm sorry for your loss. Please be strong " I said and bowed infront of them. Mrs. Lee smiled at me and nodded before she left with Mr. Lee who's still crying
I thought the bad news didn't affect Haechan and Mark but right after their parents left, they also started to cry
Haechan was just looking up while tears are slowly coming out from his eyes. Mark was covering his face and later on walked out. Chaeryeong and Haechan also walked out a few minutes after so Juyeon and I are the only ones left on the table
He's not crying but I can tell that he's sad
"All of you are probably really close to him" I said
"No. None of us are close to him"
I looked at him confusedly because of his answer. I thought he's just joking but he looks serious
"They're crying not because of uncle Johnny's death" he smiled weakly "They're crying because an old wound was opened"
"What do you mean?" I asked
"Uncle Johnny died because of leukemia. Our youngest sibling died because of leukemia too at the age of two. No one mentioned that to you because everyone wants to forget about that. Our dad was blaming himself because it's a genetic disease and he's aware that it came from their family" he explained
I'm speechless. I have no idea that they have youngest sibling that died. No one really mentioned that to me. Not even Haechan or Jaemin. They really buried it in the past
But if it's genetic disease then...
"Does it mean all of you can possibly have leukemia?" I asked in disbelief
"Not me. Only Haechan, Mark and Chaeryeong. Dad wasn't really my dad. My real dad died because of stroke when I was young"
How come that I didn't know about this?
I thought I already know them well...

Ji Eun suddenly showed up wearing Jaemin's ring. I clenched my fist. I don't think I can show her any patience and mercy
"When are you planning to break up with him? I can't wait to have him again" she said it so casually
I'm really mad right now but I'm trying my best to keep a poker face and to calm myself down
"As if he wants you to have him again..." I whispered
"What!?"
"I said I pity you. You're like a beggar dying to receive love from my boyfriend" I said that to her face. I was about to left when she suddenly grabbed my hair

It only took me three seconds to pin her on the wall. She screamed in pain but I don't care. She really pissed me off
"Are you crazy? Do you want me to report you---"
"Don't mess with me, Ji Eun. Don't feel entitled. Everyone will find out the truth soon. It's Winter season now, by the way" I smirked when I saw the fear on her eyes

"What's happening here?"
Mr. Kim came. Ji Eun started acting like a saint. I just laughed because of what I witnessed

"It looks like you two are getting along well. I'm glad" he patted our head which removed all the anger that I have earlier

Ji Eun gave me a look before she left
"See you again, Ryujin" Mr. Kim patted my head once again before he left
For some reasons, Mr. Kim always make me feel comfortable. I can't explain why but his small gestures are always making me happy
I can't stop myself from envying Ji Eun. She's so lucky to have Mr. And Mrs. Kim as her parents. They're both kind
But she didn't inherited any of their kindness

"I always warm the soil and already bought a warm shelter for this so it will survive until summer"

We're here at District 9's garden. I joined him on finding a perfect spot for his beloved sunflower that he bought online. I'm also expecting to see Ahjumma here but it looks like she's already resting. It's been a long time since the last time I talked to her. I miss her advices
There's new plants on District 9's garden. There's a lot of Daisy flowers. It suddenly reminds me of Jaemin
Speaking of Jaemin. We haven't talked since the day we had an argument and it's already three days ago. He's messaging me but I'm not replying to any of his messages. I'm mad not just because he lied to me but also because he's not finding a way to apologize and explain his side to me personally

I started being emotional because I'm also having a hard time too on understanding his situation

"What you said just now are the words that I wanted to hear from him" I sighed heavily and looked at my ring
I want to go back to the time when I was in France with him. We don't feel anything but happiness and love for each other

"You two are in a tough situation but he's taking care of everything on his own because he doesn't want you to suffer. But I guess things didn't turned the way he wants because no matter what he choose, you will still suffer" he said while wiping my tears
"But no matter what the situation is. Always walk with him and he will do the same. Hold his hand tighter and never let go. It's just natural for couples to have argument"
He stood up and offered his hand
"Let's go back now. It's already getting cold"
I stared at him for a moment. Haechan was good at advices. He's one of my comfort. I can't believe that he's still single. He's such a boyfriend material
I accepted his hand offer and hugged him. He got flustered because of what I did
"Thank you, Haechan-ah. Your advices are really the best"

I almost cursed because of Yeji's loud voice. She entered my room without even knocking

After 45 minutes, she finished dolling me up. She's lucky that she did my hair and makeup properly because I will really beat her ass if it didn't turned well
I got flustered when I saw Chaeryeong and Sunghoon waiting outside the mansion. They look so excited when they saw me
"Seriously, what the hell is going on?" I asked because I'm the only one who dressed up well
No one answered me until we reached the school. I cursed when I realized that there's no one inside the school. It's obvious because it's weekend
"I'm gonna kill you, Hwang Yej---"
"You look stunning"
I froze up on my position when Jaemin showed up wearing a black button down shirt. He has bouquet of daisy flower on his right hand
I slowly flashed a smile when I realized what's going on
"Yieee" -Chaeryeong
"Hope all" -Yeji
"It sucks to be single" -Sunghoon
I laughed because of their reactions. Jaemin slowly stepped closer to me and gave me the bouquet of daisy flower
"Why do I feel like we haven't met for a long time?" I asked
"You probably missed me so much" he answered
"That's right"
He hugged me tight and I did the same
This is home...
"I'm sorry for being a bad boyfriend” he said
"I'm sorry too for being a bad girlfriend"
We both laughed because of what we said. He broke our hug and held my hand
"Let's go. I prepared something for you"
I said goodbye and thanked Chaeryeong, Yeji and Sunghoon first before going inside the school with Jaemin
We're just smiling at each other until we reached the elevator. What he prepared was located at the rooftop so we need to go upstairs
"I forgot that you can't take elevator. Let's take the stairs instead--"
"No, I can. Just stay beside me" I said
I never tried to face my fear. Not even once so I think this is the right time to face it together with the person I love

He held my hand tighter. We was about to enter the elevator when his phone rang

"I'll just answer it later"
"No, answer it. I don't mind" I smiled
He answered it just like what I said. I saw how his expression changed. The tears started to form on the corner of his eyes so I got worried
"I-I understand, I'll be there" he immediately ended the call and looked at me
"I'm sorry, I have to go" he held my hand "I'm really really sorry!"
"It's okay"
I slowly let go of his hand and turned my back against him
"R-Ryujin-ah"
He sounded like he's struggling about making his decision
Can you please choose me?
"Just go"
"I'm really sorry" he said once again before running away
The tears started to fall from my eyes while watching him running away. He stopped running when he reached the gate and looked at me once again
He's crying too
I'm not crying because our plan got cancelled again
I'm crying because I feel like he chose Ji Eun over me...
"Why do I feel like you're far even though you're so close" I whispered to myself
I entered the elevator alone when it opened. For the first time, I didn't fear the small space where I'm in
I'm too broken to feel the fear...
I just cried like a kid inside the elevator
Seeing your effort might comfort me. This is the least thing I can do. You hurt me once again. You broke my heart like you did it on purpose because you're the one who made the decision

I almost cursed when the elevator stopped and the lights turned off. I started panicking when the elevator made a loud sound. I can't see anything right now
I'm starting to panic
"B-Beomgyu-yah? Are you there" I tried to calm myself but I'm already starting to ran out of breath
I held my chest and closed my eyes. I started to sweat a lot
It's starting again...
I felt dizzy...
It's so suffocating...
I can't breathe
My legs slowly gave up. I fell on the ground but never let go of my phone, waiting for Beomgyu to answer

I heard Beomgyu's voice on the call before everything went black

Sorry for the late update. I finished writing the 28th chapter in Thursday but I forgot to save it that's why I started writing it again. As you can see this chapter is longer because I'm rushing to finish this story.
