As I walk away from the shore and Captain America, I see a blurry figure walking towards me. I break into a sprint though the woods and come across an abandoned shack. The door is halfway open already, so I push it the rest of the way.
I sit on the floor behind the kitchen counter to hide if someone comes in. Before I know it, I'm drifting into unconsciousness. Disoriented and alert, I wake up in complete darkness with handcuffs on. I try to stand up but my feet are chained together. I figure out that I'm in a vehicle, most likely a van, probably heading to Washington, D.C.
The van stops after four rights and five lefts and someone opens the doors for me. I decide not to fight back and let the guards walk me to the cell I'm staying in.
They put me in a cell I could probably break out of, but chain me to the bed. I relax and wait for someone to tell me what's going on. A guard comes to get me and takes me to an interrogation room, where a man in a suit is waiting.
"Mr. Barnes, by the orders of the Congress of the United States, you are to be put on trial for the crimes you have committed against this country and its citizens. I am the lawyer assigned to your case, Matt Murdock," the man explains. "Do you have any questions?"
"How did you find me?" I ask.
"I honestly don't know they brought you in and you needed a lawyer so I volunteered,"
"Why?"
"Because I read your file. I know you fell off the train and Hydra captured you,"
"How do you know that? Are you Hydra?" I try to get out of my handcuffs.
"No, when Natasha Romanoff publicized everything from S.H.I.E.L.D.'s database, I read it. I saw you fighting Captain America and I was intrigued,"
I relax my taut muscles, "When is the trial?"
"Tomorrow," Matt replies.
