I am super excited to share that The Cutting Edge is being adapted to an 8-part TV series for Mediacorp and will be screening very shortly on their platforms, Channel 5 and meWATCH!
I know many of you have left comments to say that you would love to see a televised version of the story and that it would be great as a drama—so I'm happy to share that this is actually becoming a reality. It has always been a dream of mine to see one of my stories adapted for screen and I hope all of you will enjoy the adaptation as much as you enjoyed reading the book here on Wattpad. I've been very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to journey alongside the production crew throughout the entire process from casting to scripting to witnessing the birth of the final product, so I can't wait for all of you to be able to see it too!
I had the chance to visit the set while they were filming the drama a while back, so here are some behind-the-scenes shots of what actually happened. These are shots from a scene with some romantic rivalry between Hyunwon (renamed as Russell in the adaptation) and Ares.
Without further ado, here are the main leads of the TV adaptation:
· Zoe (Song Hyejin) played by Cheryl Chou
· Russell (Kang Hyunwon) played by Alexander Yue
· Ares played by Derrick Hoh
