George knew he was a romantic guy, but renting out a whole restaurant for his girl? Yeah he didn't think he was that romantic, but apparently he is.
"You look hot in a suit." Chungha kissed his lips, running her hands down the front of his expensive jacket that he had bought for this exact occasion. "And you rented out an entire restaurant? Just for little 'ol me?"
Chungha suddenly became the human embodiment of the heart eyes emoji.
"You deserve more than this." George pressed a kiss to her hand before quickly slipping back into his playful self. "That sex was worth a plan-" His sentence was cut off by Chungha throwing a breadstick at him, a cheeky smile taking over her own features.
"I am an independent woman that makes my own money, but gotta admit, having a rich ass boyfriend has its perks."
George pretended to look offended. "Are you telling me that you're only with me for my money, Miss Kim?"
Chungha hummed with a playful shrug. "I mean the sex is good too."
George gasped. "Oh my dear. You are scandalous."
The pair erupted into giggles, pure joy radiating off the two of them. The view overlooking Seoul was bright, but their smiles managed to outshine them. It was clear to see that they were meant to be.
George had never felt so happy.
"So," Chungha paused and took a sip of her champagne. "Which member did you bribe to look after Pluto?"
"Namjoon. It took a lot of convincing and me promising to go on a nature walk with him to get him to agree. He loves Toto, but looking after him for a whole night? Yeah no, he hates that. Apparently, Pluto is the epitome of me."
Chungha nodded. "Hmm. Yeah. I can see that. The other day, Pluto pulled off my bracelet when you weren't around and then two days later, you pulled off that same bracelet because the colour gave you an itchy feeling."
"He was doing you a favour, he knows I have beef with the colour orange."
"What did that colour ever do to you?"
George scowled. "My aunt used to chew orange coloured gum constantly and it once fell out of her mouth onto my head when I was 5. I haven't been able to look at that shade of orange since and your bracelet brought back memories of her stupid gum."
Chungha covered her mouth with her hand, but it wasn't nearly enough to stop the loud laughter from shaking her entire body. George scowled back at her, this only increased her laughter.
"Didn't Butter have like a shit load of orange in it?"
"Yes. I wrote a formal complaint, but it got ignored. Nobody cares about me."
"You are so dramatic," Chungha scoffed.
"My bad memories should be taken seriously! And I have bad memories associated with orange!"
Chungha was still laughing, even more so now that she knew George was being completely serious. His poor aunt had traumatised him with her gum.
"Nobody is going to cancel the colour orange - aka one of the most popular colours in the rainbow - just because your aunt spat orange gum on you when you were five!" Chungha exclaimed, looking far too amused for George's liking.
"Army would," he grumbled.
Now Chungha couldn't even argue with that. If George wanted the colour orange swiped from existence, they would find a way for him.
"I cannot believe, I rented out this extravagant restaurant for you to show you how much I love you and then you sit and insult my bad memories with the colour orange. Seriously? I'm giving you a pear and stick next time and that can keep you occupied."
Lost in his rant, George didn't notice the look of absolute shock on Chungha's face, nor did he realize that she had stopped laughing and froze on the spot.
"Orange should be banned and as my girlfriend, I think you should be helping me get the colour banned from existence than critique my reasoning! And now you are just staring at me like I've gone mad. Why do you look like I just slapped Minnie Mouse with a baseball bat?"
Finally, he noticed her quietened state.
Growing concerned, he threw a piece of bread at her.
"Anyone home in there?" He reached over to knock on her forehead.
"You just said you love me..."
With his fist pressed against her forehead, he was now the one that had frozen up.
"Oh."
She gulped. "Did you mean-was you supposed to say that?"
Pulling his hand away from her head, he leaned back in his seat looking nervous. "I mean, I meant to say it during this dinner...not whilst having a rant about oranges..."
Suddenly, a smile broke out across the face of the woman he loves. "That is so you! You said it in the most George Lee way! I'm so happy! I love you too!"
George blinked. "You do?"
"Yes dumbass! Now miss me."
Still in a state of shock, George pointed at her. "You love me? Like actual love or on a friend type of thing because I think what we have is great but i just wanna be sure that I haven't been reading the lines wrong-"
Chungha raised up from her seat and leaned across the table, pressing her lips against his to shut him up.
"I actually love you. As a boyfriend."
"Okay but like boy space friend or like-"
"George Lee, do you ever shut up?"
"No Ma'am."
Chungha chuckled, and pecked his lips once again. "I love you as a soulmate type of thing."
"Oh...my god...I love you as a soulmate type of thing too."
Soulmate. He liked that.
