A day after, I saw the news appear on my tv...well, the tv in my hospital room.
Yes, I'm still here.
I watched the news and found out that the guy who attempted to shoot Billie had only followed orders given by my own father.

Moments after, someone knocked on the door.
"Come in," I said.
The door swung open. I saw Adrienne along with Joey and Jakob.
"Sis!" Joey rushed to the side of my bed and hugged me. Jakob did too.
"Ow..." I squeaked.
"Oh sorry..." They both let go.
Adie walked up to me. "Hi...mom," I said. She planted a tender kiss on my forehead.
"You're safe now, honey." She whispered. I sighed with relief. I really needed to hear those words.
"Where's Bi--...dad?" I asked.
Adie was pleased with me calling Billie 'dad'.
But I know Billie isn't.
"He's recording at the studio," she replied.

After their visit, I was left alone in my room.
I was alone, but not lonely.
I stared at the ceiling, my thoughts flooding my mind.
I've risked so much, but I gained a lot too.
I thought about the times I forced myself not to give up.
I've gone to far and it's too late to give up now...
I shut my eyes and let my tears fall.
I'm finally happy.
