Plot: you and Vinnie get into an argument and he thinks you're going to leave him

You put your hands over your face in frustration and walk towards the door. "Vin I just-"
"Walk out that door and we're done."
You spin around to face him. "What? I just need some fucking air. We've been at this for God knows how long and I need to get out."
Vinnie winces at your words. When you had turned around, his arms were crossed over his chest, expression hard and unreadable but now...
He was leaning against the couch, propped up by his arms, and shaking. You didn't know if it was anger or sadness. He doesn't take his gaze from you when he says, "Neither of us are going anywhere until we...until we..."
"Until we what Vinnie?" You wipe tears from your face. "Until we make up?"
You take a few breaths. "I just need to go outside for a few minutes."
Vinnie shakes his head. Then he's shaking again, a mess of curls and tears.
You could tell his distraught. You become concerned and walk over to him. "What's wrong?"
He doesn't even look at you when he says,
"You're gonna leave and not come back."
"W-what? No. Jesus Christ, no. Vinnie listen to me." You kneel beside him and swallow the lump in your throat. "I'm going to come back. All I need is some air and then we can continue fighting. Is that okay?"
He lets out a dry laugh.
"Okay?" You ask.
"Okay."
"You can trust me to come back. Always."
