Irene entered the bedroom to wake up her husband. Seulgi was still sleeping soundly because he worked overtime and arrived late last night. Following Irene is their little girl, Kang Hyunji also known as Kang Bubble. She cutely walking behind her mom approaching her sleeping daddy
"Bae, wake up" Irene taps Seulgi cheek softly but he still is not giving a response. Then Irene tried again "Bae, wake up. It's 8:30 already"
"Bae~" Hyunji copying her mom
She often copies her parents' endearments to each other. Sometimes she calls her dad 'Gi' or 'oppa' and her mom 'Hyun', 'Rene' or 'nie' since she is unable to say unnie and Seulgi properly. At first her parents shock when she call them like that but then it became fun and cute
"Say daddy, wake up" Irene teaching her daughter
"Dyyy~"
Seulgi who was already awake only holding his smile hearing his favorite cute voice. After few minutes letting Hyunji tapping his cheek, he open his eyes
"Good morning baby"
"Good morning" say Irene
"Kiss" Seulgi pointed at his cheek, waiting for Hyunji to kiss him
Hyunji crawl to her dad then kiss him on cheek. After that, Seulgi hugging his daughter tightly and tickling her. Both of them laughing heartily. Irene smile warmly seeing her loved ones. It almost 2 years since they adopt Hyunji and 7 months after she and Seulgi settle down. They live happily as a small family
After getting married, Seulgi and his family moved to the house that he secretly purchased as Hyunji's 1st birthday gift. He proposed to Irene to be his wife the first time they visited that house. Kang's family also moved to Seoul after Yerim graduated from high school. Seulgi bought a house for his parents in the same neighborhood so that they could stay close to each other. They house just 1 block apart
Irene's parents agree with Seulgi's decision to have their own house. As much as they want Irene and her family to stay with them, they can't against Seulgi's decision. After all, he is Irene's husband. He has the right to decide everything for his family and Irene must follow her husband's decision. Besides, the new house is not that far from Bae residence so they can visit each other anytime
Both of them are still working as usual but less travel except for urgent reasons. When Irene and Seulgi work, Mrs. Kang will take care of Hyunji. She decides to stop working with Mrs. Bae so that she can take care of her granddaughter. Irene is very happy to hear that so that she doesn't need to send Hyunji to daycare if everyone is busy. Her mom is also back to work since her condition is better than before.
As for Sooyoung and Yerim, both girls are busy with their studies. Yerim enrolled in the same university as Sooyoung but took a different course. She pursues her dream as fashion designer and makes Mrs. Bae as her mentor. Even though her achievement is not as great as Sooyoung's, she still makes her family proud. She shines in her own way. As Irene promised, she also bought a car for Yerim as motivation for her like she did for Sooyoung. Even Yerim and Sooyoung are college students now but Irene is still pampering them. She always buys something for them to cheer them up and motivate them to study. Sometimes they bring the girls out for girl's time on weekend

Seulgi comes to the dining table after washing up. Irene and Hyunji are already at the dining table. Hyunji sits on a baby chair while her mommy feeds her. For a kid her age, she eats really well. In her meal, Irene never leaves veggies to expose her to greens so that she is not picky when she grows up. She doesn't want Hyunji to become a meat eater like Seulgi. Every day she makes sure Hyunji is eating a healthy and balanced meal. Mrs. Kang also does the same to Hyunji. Now vegetables become Hyunji favorite food
"What for breakfast?" Seulgi take a sit on his chair
"Meat porridge and white coffee. Do you want kimchi too?"
"Yes, please" Seulgi smile brightly while looking at delicious foods serve in front of him
Irene comes back with kimchi then Seulgi starts eating his breakfast. Then he noticed no other plate in front of Irene except Hyunji's bowl
"Bae, you're not eating?"
"I ate already before both of you wake up. I'm a bit hungry after tidy up living room earlier so I eat first" say Irene
"That's good that you're already eating. Don't ever skip meal"
"Okay sir" Irene wink then continue feeding her daughter
"Bae, any plans for today?"
Irene shrugs her shoulder "I not plan anything yet"
"Grocery shopping?"
"We just shopped last Wednesday so there are still a lot. I guess we'll just stay at home today"
"Okay then"

"Bae, what is our plan for the Christmas holiday?" Seulgi looking at Irene who accompany Hyunji playing on the floor
"I don't have a plan yet, bae. Daddy and momma will celebrate Christmas in LA this year. Mommy said she and appa will go back to their hometown. Yerim and Sooyoung also will go with them. I am still thinking about where we should go. Whether we just stay here or follow one of our families"
Seulgi nods his head slowly while rubbing his chin "Hm, our friends also do not celebrate in Seoul. Seungwan and Eunji noona will go to Canada with his family to visit his grandparents. Byul hyung and Solar noona also go back to their hometown. Leo and Jennie at New Zealand. Suho hyung and Jisoo will celebrate at hyung's family vacation house"
"Hm, I think we will just go back with mommy and appa. I don't want to bring Hyunji to travel abroad yet. She is still not good with airplanes. Remember she catch fever after we fly to Jeju and it is first time she ride airplane"
"True, I still have trauma with that" Seulgi chuckle "Following mommy and appa also not bad. It has been a while since we go back to hometown"
"Yeah, I missed the peaceful places like my hometown too. If you're not busy, let stay there until new year" Irene wiggle her eyebrows
"So far, my work is not packed. I will check again then apply leave"
"Alright!"
"What about your work? Usually you will busy during year end"
"I will clear my work before I leave. The rest will be handled by Jisoo and Eunji. They only away for Christmas then will return to work again"
"Okay then"

"Gi~" Hyunji cutely calling for her dad attention but he ignore him "Giii~"
"Bae, why do you ignore her?" Irene nudging Seulgi but he just motioned her to silent
"Daddy~" Hyunji whimper because she failed to get her dad attention
Seulgi quickly pulls Hyunji to his embrace "My baby, don't call Gi, okay? It's daddy, understand?"
Hyunji nods her head while her eyes still brimming in tears "Okay Gi" she start again
Seulgi just heaves a heavy sigh while Irene laughing at him "It's okay, bae. Her calling Gi also sounds cute. I guess she calls you like that because you called her bubble. If both of you combine then it will become Bubble Gi not bubble gum" the mother having fun teasing Seulgi
"Ayy, you're not helping at all"
"Well, she also call me Hyun because she hear you said that"
"Then it's fair"
"True" both of them cackle
"We should go now. Let's go to the supermarket before heading to mommy's house. She asked me to buy fish cake. She want to make soup for Hyunji''
"Alright bae"

Irene takes a picture of Hyunji and Seulgi as she walks behind them to the supermarket. Hyunji gave her an arrogant smile when she saw her mom pointed the phone camera at them. Her expression make Irene cackle
"Hyunji really proud of her arrogant smile" Irene commented as she walk beside her husband
"Well, everyone said that. She rarely smile but when she did, she will show arrogant smile" Seulgi laughing lightly
"I hope it will not last long into the future. I'm worry if no one want to be her friend just because of her snobbish look"
"Don't worry, she will enjoy her school days with her friend. I still can't believe that she grew up so fast. She is 2 years old now. In no time, we will send her to school. I missed holding her in my arms, feed her with milk, change her diapers, accompany her at night until she sleep and wake up hearing her cries for milk or her diapers full" Seulgi confessed
"If you, her father, feels that way, don't ask what I feel. I'm worse than that. I don't want her to grow up so fast but I also can't wait to spend my days with her and have girl time. When I look at her sleeping face, it makes me miss her early days with us when we learned to take care of her and much more. She really makes me bring out the best in my life. She changed me a lot as a woman" Irene fixing Hyunji bangs. Both of them have bangs as mom and daughter goals
"She is the most precious thing for us" Seulgi patting Hyunji back softly
The Kang family entered the supermarket to shop for groceries. Seulgi pushes the cart, Hyunji sits on it and Irene takes the lead. Hyunji is not really troubling her parents whenever they are shopping. She sat silently in the cart but still she pointed at this and that if there is something to make her curious.
