Hyunjin walked calmly through the corridors of the huge castle, the employees bowed to him and he did not lower his head at any time, just followed his path without acknowledging those who worked around him. He arrived at his brother's room, knocked about three times before hearing an "Enter".
— Jisung, dad is... — Hwang stops talking when he realizes they weren't alone. Jisung was sitting cross-legged on the floor beside a smiling, blond boy. Hyunjin soon noticed the boy's clothes, the boy wore a worn blue blouse, ripped black pants and slippers. Hwang already knew what he was, a commoner.
— Who is he?
— This is my friend, Felix. — Jisung answers without taking his typical smile off his face. — Lix, you must already know my brother.
— Your Majesty, it is an honor to meet you. — Felix gets up and then bows at the prince in front of him.
— Jisung, where is your crown? — Hyunjin asks, ignoring the blond boy.
— I left it there on top of my desk. — He points towards the corner of the room, where his baby blue desk was.
— You must not take your crown, especially when there is a stranger in the castle. — Hwang speaks, pointing to Felix.
— Hyunjin, Felix wouldn't steal my crown, if that's what you're thinking. — Jisung rolls his eyes. — And you shouldn't say these things when he is here, it will embarrass my friend.
— Your friend? Jisung, he is a commoner. He is not part of our social class.
— I don't care about our social class. — Hyunjin rolls his eyes. Sometimes Jisung really is stubborn.
— You should care, people already look at you weirdly, imagine seeing you walking with a commoner? What will the other nobles think of this?
— Mom always said we're all the same, it's not class that makes a person's character. Felix is a good boy, I know the friends I have.
Hyunjin couldn't contradict his brother this time, he hit the most sensitive part of his heart, he hated it when he used his mother to win arguments, because he never knew how to respond. Hwang looked one last time at the blond boy and left his brother's room.
He couldn't stand the idea of his younger brother hanging out with a commoner, he wanted to go talk to his father, but decided that he would talk better with Jisung later. He would not let this so called Felix enter his castle again.
