Amelia's POV
"my girlfriend and her daughter will be waiting for us at the restaurant, or probably the opposite" he mumbled the last part
"okay" I said leaning my head against the window
"please don't say anything bad or don't make her angry. trust me, you wouldn't want to see her angry" he said shaking his head
"what's her name?" I asked
"Karen" he replied
really? a Karen
"why are you dating a Karen?" I asked laughing
he just shook his head and parked the car as we arrived
"please be nice" he said before getting out of the car
I rolled my eyes and got out too
he's making me feel like I'm actually mean
I followed him inside to the restaurant
"reservation for Albert Williams" my dad said to the waiter that welcomed us
she smiled and nodded before walking in front of us
we followed her to a table of four that was at the end of the restaurant
"thank you" I said
she smiled and walked away
my dad sat and rubbed his temples letting out a sigh
"what's up?" I asked him sitting down next to him
"I'm nervous...I mean she's a bit rude, I'm scared you might not like her or something" he said
"I will never make you guys break up even I didn't like her, and don't be nervous" I said smiling
he smiled back before we were interrupted by someone clearing their throat
I looked up and saw a tall lady, blonde hair, pounds of makeup, short dress
kinda reminds me of Charlotte
"are you my mom's boyfriend?" a very familiar pitchy voice said

"Charlotte?" I said surprised
please don't tell me she's my dad's girlfriend's daughter
"what are you doing here?" she asked rudely
"t-this is my dad" I said pointing t o my dad who was sweating. like a lot
"mom you're dating her dad?" she said rolling her eyes
"hey" My dad said standing up and giving his girlfriend a hug
"hey baby" she said hugging him back
she looks so fake-

they both sat down facing us
"so this is your daughter?" Karen said looking at me in disgust
my dad cleared his throat and nodded
"yeah...um this is Amelia. Amelia this is Karen" he said awkwardly
I faked her a smile which she returned, also fake of course
"ughh why do I have to be here with this annoying bitch, that is dating my ex" Charlotte said rolling her eyes
she did not just expose me in front of my dad
my dad looked at me with a confused look
of course he ignored the part were she called me a bitch and focused on the one that says I'm dating Tayler
"what's that?" my dad asked
"I'll tell you later" I said before digging into my food
and of course when I'm eating, I'm living in another completely different world
different world in which I'm dreaming of marrying the nutella jar and swimming in a pool of chocolate or something like that
anyways, I was snapped from my world by an annoying voice

"does she eat like this all the time? if this girl is gonna be my step-sister I'm definitely going to die" she said rolling her eyes again
how does she roll her eyes all the time and her eyes never get stuck in the back of her head?

"you guys are getting married!?" I asked almost chocking on my food
my dad grinned widely while nodding
"we are. do you have a problem? if you do you can just move out of the house. me and Charlotte will be moving in your dad's house after getting married" she said before flipping her hair over her shoulder

"and when's the wedding?" I asked
"in 2 months" she replied
I held the urge not to roll my eyes
"if you excuse me. I have to use the bathroom" I said before getting up
this bitch just made me lose my appetite

I shouldn't be spending this much time with Tayler
I walked to the bathroom and closed the door behind me
I looked at myself in the mirror, before letting out a sigh

only a few more hours before you can go home and binge watch Netflix and eat as much as you want
I was fixing my makeup when someone entered
of course as you were thinking, it was Charlotte
"I still wonder what Tayler sees in you" she said with a look of disgust on her face
is she looking at herself in the mirror?
I ignored her and reapplied my lip gloss
"like he had me at first, and then he went to you. he really downgraded" she said again
I rolled my eyes and looked at her
"just shut up already" I said after some gain of confidence
I was never able to snap back at her
she gasped and crossed her arms over her chest
"listen, I don't shut up, I grow up, and when I look at you, I throw up" she said with a proud smirk

I held the urge to burst out of laughter by biting my lip
"you need some training" I said before walking out of the bathroom
I walked back to our table and sat down next to my dad
him and Karen were deep in conversation about god knows what
I grabbed my phone and saw a message from Tayler

"okay you can go, Karen and Charlotte might spend the night at ours" he said
I'm going to sleep at Addi's then
"okay whatever" I said before sitting back
after about 5 minutes, Tayler texted me telling me he's waiting outside
"I have to go, my friend is here" I said standing up
my dad smiled and nodded
"it was nice meeting you" I told Karen
she just nodded her head
I waved to my dad before walking outside
I saw Tayler leaning against his car
when he saw me, he smirked and got in the car
I got in the car and let out a sigh
"how was it?" he asked
I could already feel his smirk
"just shut up and start driving" I said
