❪ 𝗢𝗡𝗘 ❫ ━ 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗦
George coughed loudly, a baby sound effect being placed over the giggle that he did to the camera just after it, the boys were disgusted, and he loved it.
"It's a small space, I don't want your germs," Jin scolded him, moving to the other side of the egg.
"I feel like I'm back in the womb," George commented, completely ignoring Jin. His eyes scanned the egg in amazement. "Mr Bang paid for all a giant egg elevator but refused to pay for my own aquarium in BigHit? Fuming man."
George decided he would be having words with his boss. All he asked for was a gigantic aquarium filled with people dressed like The Little Mermaid characters inside, and in his opinion, that wasn't a lot.
The I-Land kids got a whole egg! He was personally miffed.
The group stepped out into the main area where chairs were lined together. It was beautiful, and George let out a low whistle.
"Yo, this is nice." His eyes drifted across the walls, floor and then the huge window which displayed a practice room. "And I'll say it again, could afford this but not my Little Mermaid aquarium? I'll be having words."
George's tongue brushed against the inside of his cheek. Jungkook noticed, and snorted alerting the other members.
"He's jealous."
"All im saying is I don't get why he'll put the plans in for all of this but won't give me my aquarium."
Definitely will be having words.
❪ 𝗧𝗪𝗢 ❫ ━ 𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗨𝗧 𝗕𝗨𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡
If seeing the egg and then the main area wasn't enough to fuel George's jealous rage then the actual lounge area where the kids stay had him in flames. He was happy they were comfortable, but what about his aquarium?
Deciding to bite back his rage, George decided that it wasn't worth him kicking up a fuss—yet. He would bring it up to his boss later.
"You do realize they have to eat to survive, right?" George aimed is question at Jungkook, who was busy stuffing as much food in his arms as he could. "You missed the peanut butter up there."
"I'm not stealing peanut butter for you," Jungkook told him.
George frowned. "It tastes so good, I'll pay you."
Jungkook considered it, but luckily, Taehyung was quick to intervene.
"It could literally kill you." He yanked the peanut butter off of the shelf and handed it to him. "Knock yourself out."
George stood in absolute shock, the camera zooming in on his facial expression whilst the Maknae giggled beside him, before proudly stepping out of the kitchen with all the food.
Jin was quick to scold him for that.
"Why does George have peanut butter?" Namjoon quizzed, immediately taking the jar out of his hands.
"Taehyung gave it to me. He tried to force feed me with it and everything."
Taehyung whipped around, and George stuck his tongue out just before running after Namjoon to tattle tale, even though George dramatised a lot of it. Taehyung didn't try to force feed him, but he did put him in harms way.
"You're 27, George. You're old enough to know that you're not supposed to eat peanut butter." Namjoon let out an exasperated sigh. This wasn't in his job description.
"Mentally im still in the womb."
"That doesn't- you know what, I don't get paid to deal with this."
Namjoon handed the peanut better back to George and headed off to explore the place further. Staring down at the jar in his hands, George sighed. He decided to put it back.
"You still have that?" Jungkook asked, stacking up the food he stole previously.
"I'm putting it back, I don't feel like being rushed to hospital today."
With that, he placed the peanut butter back on the shelf and walked away like nothing had happened.
❪ 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 ❫ ━ 𝗙𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗟𝗟
The row of boys all gasped as BTS appeared on the large screen in front of them. All as equally shocked, having not expected to see the eight men in the place they had been calling home.
George stood proudly, hands tucked in his pockets completely unharmed after his peanut butter temptations. When he appeared on the screen, Jay inhaled sharply and everyone looked at him knowingly; Jay looked up George a lot.
As the members went on to give some tips and demonstrations, George was next up. The boys urged him to do his part in Fake Love, he did it flawlessly up until he nearly tripped up and let out a shriek, grabbing onto Yoongi's leg.
"You saw nothing," he pointed at the camera accusingly.
The I-Land boys all giggled.
"He still looked cool!" Sunoo pointed out with the cutest smile.
Once George recovered, he moved confidently towards the middle. "So, yeah do that but without the falling, not everyone can look as graceful as me whilst falling on their a-"
"Geun," Namjoon warned.
"Butt." George finished off with a cheeky smile.
Yeah. He was definitely going to say butt.
❪ 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥 ❫ ━ 𝗠𝗜𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗪𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗞
Truthfully, George had never really been the best at giving advice but he knew he was there to be a guide for the hopeful young idols, and so he decided that he was going to do his best.
Most of the boys were worried about minor things, but of course, he assured them that their feelings were valid but some of things they were worrying about were just small bumps in the road.
"Taki! I like this guy!" J-Hope announced.
George clapped excitedly. "Taki! He's so cute."
Taki gasped, and the other boys smiled at him, both proud and happy for him.
"I miss my parents, im worried about my sister's health. I know I need to focus on my debut..." Yoongi read out and George poked out his bottom lip.
"I know how he feels," George started. "I'm away from my grandparents, they live back in England. And it's such a lonely feeling not being able to see them everyday."
The BTS boys nodded their heads along with him. They had seen George have many breakdowns over his grandparents. He missed them so much, and though he was lucky enough to have his family close to him in Korea, it didn't make it hurt any less. Growing up, George had a lot family that lived in Korea, but his grandparents always remained in England, so leaving them was one of the hardest things he had to cope with.
"Just know that it's okay to miss your family, you're a young kid and this life isn't easy but know that when they tell you they're proud, they mean it. You're making progress, and I know how easy it is to feel guilty leaving them, and I can't say you won't miss them any less as time goes on because you will, it's only natural. Distracting your mind is best, but don't push them away and definitely don't feel guilty for working toward your dream."
The other members remained silent for a moment, before Hoseok clapped proudly. "Ah! Our Georgie! He's good at giving advice."
"That's not totally true, remember when he told Yoongi that putting a coin in the microwave would shrink it? Yoongi blew up the microwave."
George shrugged. "That was on him for believing me, I didn't think he'd actually try it."
All eyes went to Yoongi.
"We needed a new microwave anyway."
He had a point there.
❪ 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘 ❫ ━ 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗟𝗨𝗖𝗞 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗠
George has never been the best gift giver, so needless to say, it was quite a struggle for him to decide what he wanted to give one of the Ilanders. He had sat around for hours trying to think of something special, and then finally, it came to him.
Sitting on the I-LAND sofa, he used the gift box as a table to write his note.
'I hope you are well and not working yourself too hard. I'll be honest, I wasn't too sure what to gift you, but I hope you like what I have come up with. I was given this as a trainee from my aunt, and I believe it has a lot of good luck charm for the start of your career. I checked in with my aunt and she's more than happy for you to take care of it, and she wishes you the best in your career.'
George placed the pen and card down before pulling the gorgeous golden pendant necklace that he wore everyday as a trainee, out of his pocket and placed it neatly inside of the box with a smile. He then placed the note on top and placed the gift on top of the other pile neatly. Once he was done, he signed the plaque and then said his last goodbyes to the camera crew, bidding them a farewell until the final, when he would see them again.
[ EXTRA ━ WHO GOT THE GIFT ? ]
"Jay! Look!" Jay turned around to find K standing behind him with the gift in his hand. After glancing down at the card, Jay couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed knowing that K got George's gift, though he was beyond grateful for his own. With a knowing smile, K took the pendant from out of the box and carefully placed it over Jay's head. "Lets swap."
"Are we allowed to even do that?" Jay quizzed, rather taken back.
K shrugged. "I don't know, but I don't think George sunbaenim would care as long as you don't break it."
And K was exactly right. George didn't mind who had it or whether they swapped gifts, the only thing he wanted was for the pendant to be taken care of. Jay eventually took the gift and promised to wear it.
The promise was kept, and even after his debut, Jay continued to wear the pendant. It truly is his good luck charm.
