Ranboo struggled to get up as the carriage had been demolished, a sharp pain made him groan as he held his side. The Prince's sight focused to his left to see Tubbo, he lay unconscious next to him, he, unfortunately, had blood on his face from various cuts. Ranboo quickly looked for Tommy. His eyes widened as he saw Tommy fighting against a lot of monsters, one of his wings looked broken and his body was covered in blood. The Prince knew that they had been ambushed on the higher level of the mountain, someone had planned their route out before leaving Triox. Ranboo quickly scooped Tubbo in his arms and shouted at Tommy, he had to let him know that he had regained consciousness. Tommy turned as he heard Ranboo, he growled as more monsters appeared, if the heir of Veri died, there would be chaos. The God of Fortune sighed before he used his wings to throw the monsters away, a sickening crack alerted Tommy that his right wing would no longer be useful to him. As the snow died down from his attack, Tommy saw him, the Hunter was behind some trees watching the show, the boy's body froze as noticed that Dream's attention was on Ranboo: his brother, his best friend, and the future King.
"GET OUT OF HERE WITH TUBBO, RANBOO!", shouted the young man. Ranboo refused as he couldn't imagine abandoning Tommy there by himself. The pain he was feeling was quickly replaced with adrenaline as he quickly put Tubbo down and grabbed a bow. He quickly began to shoot the monsters closest to Tommy and shouted at him to go with them. Tommy growled before he noticed that Dream was gone from his hiding spot. "Okay! Lead the way, Ranboo. I'll follow, just take Tubbo!", shouted Tommy. He ran and took the bow from the Prince and began to shoot, they made it to the stone bridge that led them one step closer to home. "Cross it! There's still a lot of them behind us.", said Tommy, pulling the string back to release two arrows. Ranboo nodded and began to run across, the prince felt the air leave him more and more, he wanted to succumb to the darkness but refused as he kept running. Once he placed both feet on the other side, the bridge exploded. "TOMMY!!!", shouted Ranboo. He was in disbelief as he saw his friend grinning at him. "Go home, Ranboo! Tell my sister not to worry so much! Also tell everyone that I love them a lot!", laughed the boy. He had an arm outstretched and Ranboo felt his body being surrounded, a murder of crows had begun to lift him up. He shouted and struggled but it was to no avail, he and Tubbo were being taken somewhere safe by Tommy's familiars.
Tommy sighed as he turned, his familiars were his last hope of taking his friends away from the danger. He quickly chanted and burned down all of the monsters to reveal Dream standing there, waiting. "You found me out so quickly, Tommy!", smiled the man. His mask was on the side of his face yet his eyes were pitch black. "Don't use his voice, you bastard.", growled Tommy, spreading his good wing and releasing the last of his energy. The man before him laughed and sighed as he wiped away an imaginary tear. "You are indeed the Childe of Death and Life... Those two also had a way of figuring me out... I wonder how your brother felt to be killed by the image of his beloved wife.", smiled the entity. Tommy felt his earrings start to glow, he wore both his and Wilbur's since that was both Sally's and Fundy's request. Tommy glared at the entity that was using his friend to talk and move, Wilbur had probably figured out that Sally wasn't his killer.
"It's okay... Wilbur would never blame his wife even if she did decide to kill him.", spat the boy. The thing before him needed to be stopped and as soon as possible but his body was shaking, Tommy hated to admit it but he was scared. "If you thought you could kill Ranboo you were an idiot.", sighed Tommy after calming down. Dream was now in front of the boy and looked ready to annihilate the small God. Tommy quickly punched him and a barrier formed around them, he had been chanting the spell under his breath and had found the perfect opportunity to strike.
He can go after them... They're nowhere near our home... I have to keep him here until they reach the outskirts of the kingdom...
Tommy's thoughts ceased as he saw Dream get up and dust the snow off himself. "You're strong, boy... I wonder how much your parents will suffer after I kill you and then that bitch they call a daughter.", grinned the creature. Tommy's mind went red, he would never allow this entity to lay a finger on his sister ever again. "Even after you kill me, you will never lay a finger on (Y/n).", growled Tommy. He rushed at the Hunter before gripping his face, the Hunter saw it before Tommy could notice it, his eyes were red now. Tommy was awakening his God form without knowing. The entity growled as Tommy slammed him into the ground, placing a spell on Dream's body before jumping back. The creature also had noticed that Tommy was immune to his powers to stop time and that would be dangerous for his plans. At that moment, both parties knew that the other had to die for the following two reasons. First was that the barrier that Tommy had made was using his life force and that wouldn't disappear until Tommy or Dream died. The second was the fear that was growing in the entity's mind, if Tommy lived then that meant Tommy could free Dream from its grasp.
Tommy watched as the snow absorbed the blood that dripped from both him and Dream, the boy was tired and his injuries were serious but something made him smirk at the damage he had caused to the entity. This would give him revenge for his men that were most likely slaughtered on the land above them, innocent lives that he couldn't protect just like his brother. The boy concentrated before getting back into his stance, he breathed slowly as the Hunter looked at him. "I've had enough of you...", he growled and lunged at Tommy. The boy swung but his sword only went through the man, his eyes widened as he figured out that it wasn't Dream he attacked but an illusion. As he turned, the Hunter pierced his sword through the boy. It was a glowing black sword, it was most likely the same sword used to kill Wilbur a few months ago. Tommy's sword fell into the snow and the barrier shattered like glass around them. Dream held the boy and slowly fell to his knees as he looked at the God.
The snow around them quickly absorbed the blood that flowed out of Tommy's body. White gladiolus began to blossom just like when the blue hydrangeas blossomed from Wilbur's blood. The life was slowly draining out of Tommy's eyes as he looked into Dream's black eyes. "Hey... Dream...", he whispered. A flash of green appeared for a few seconds in those black eyes. "It's not your fault, Big Man.", smiled Tommy. The Hunter was gone as soon as the boy blinked. Tommy laid there while holding his wound, he looked at the sky and hummed softly. "I want to see Big Sister before I go...", whispered Tommy, tears falling down his face.
KINGDOM OF VERI
The Blood God quickly summoned his wings as he saw his wife fly past him, something was happening and she had spotted it before anyone. He spotted her with their son a few miles away from the kingdom's gates, he carried Tubbo in his arms and he was sobbing. "He- He- didn't let me help him! He's in danger because of me!", shouted Ranboo. Technoblade held them both and commanded Ranboo to get medical attention as soon as he entered the castle along with Tubbo. He could tell that his son had various rib bones cracked and Tubbo had his arm broken along with some serious cuts on his face. Philza appeared and began to question what was happening but quickly said nothing as his daughter begged him to take Ranboo and Tubbo back to the castle. She looked at Technoblade, he nodded before they both flew off to the bridge their son had spoken about in his nervous rambling.
The Gods both knelt next to Tommy. He was still breathing but they both knew that it was too late as they saw flowers surrounding him. (Y/n) had seen him from the sky first, his wings were drenched in his own blood and white gladiolus surrounded Tommy. Her baby brother who she raised along with her family, laid there dying while they could do nothing once again. Part of her wanted him to sit up and start poking fun at her for falling for another of his pranks but this time her wish would stay unanswered. "Tommy... I'm sorry...", she whispered. Her heart broke more with each passing second as she carefully pulled him close to her body, his becoming colder. "Sister... I made sure Ranboo... made it back...", smiled Tommy while (Y/n) fixed his hair. The boy's eyes wandered to Technoblade, he had removed his mask and looked at Tommy with pain in his eyes. "Don't look so chum, Techno...", whispered Tommy. The boy raised his hand towards the Blood God and the man got closer to take it while his wife kept her hold on the boy. "Can you sing me a lullaby, please.", whispered Tommy, blood was spilling from the side of his mouth. (Y/n) drowned back a cry as her husband nodded and began to sing. It was a favorite that Tommy would request when he went to find Techno after a nightmare.

•♬•♫• You told me you fell in love with it... Hadn't gone as I planned... •♬•♫•
"You know Techno... it's okay to cry!", smiled Tommy. They had been sparring all day to train for the inevitable war that was approaching. It was now afternoon going into the evening yet they had both sparred for what felt like minutes. The silence was cut by the King as the boy's words finally reached his mind.
"Really?", asked Techno. He patted the boy's head and put his sword away. Tommy quickly nodded and looked at Techno. "You haven't cried even when Wilbur died... You have a lot held back, correct?", he frowned. They stood there in the courtyard and looked at each other for a minute, the sun was softly caressing the golden-colored hair of the boy that always caused mischief. Techno couldn't help but admire how much the boy had grown, he was indeed his apprentice.
•♬•♫• When you had to bid adieu... Said you'd never love anew... •♬•♫•
Techno smiled and found it amusing how this boy knew him as well as his wife. "Yes, Theseus... At the moment though, I can't break. I am the King of this Kingdom and they need me. Just how I need you all... Believe me, Wilbur's death almost made me want to turn the world over but if I did that, I would be putting your lives in danger...", sighed Technoblade. Tommy quickly cleaned them with a spell and hugged him. "I'll always have your back, Techno! We all feel the same way, never forget that!", grinned the boy. Techno chuckled as he ruffled Tommy's hair. This made the boy whine before he reached over to mess with the King's hair. They laughed and began to run towards the castle in a race that Tommy had proclaimed was necessary.

•~•~• End of Flashback •~•~•
•♬•♫• You told me to buy a pony but all I wanted was you... •♫•♬•
Tommy had a very soft smile on his lips and looked like he was sleeping as the King finished singing. A hand was placed on Techno's shoulder as he gripped the boy's hand. "Theseus?", he whispered. The Blood God looked at his wife, she had tears running down her cheeks as she shook her head. A pale blue glowed on their emerald earrings. (Y/n) began to sob while Techno began to clean the boy's face, he carefully took Tommy's body from his wife and wrapped him in his cape. He felt his heart break before the tears began to fall from his eyes and onto the boy's face. (Y/n) noticed this and hugged her husband, they stayed there for a minute before they composed themselves. (Y/n) noticed something in the snow before she showed her husband, they both knew who had done this.
The couple walked back to Veri, Tommy was now clean and wrapped in Techno's cape. The beautiful white flowers that had blossomed from his blood were now in his hair and on his chest. Philza stumbled as he ran to meet them, the God of Death always felt his heart waver at a new death but this was beyond his capacity. His youngest was handed to him, his boy with the innocent mischief that brought people together was now gone. He knew he had to take him to rest with Wilbur. Kristen wouldn't be able to handle taking their youngest to the other side, Wilbur had broken her so much and now they both had lost another child.
The God of Death focused, he needed to take Tommy's soul before it wandered off. Soon, everything cleared up with only Philza and his youngest face to face. "Father! Did I do well?", grinned Tommy. He had his black armor on with his blue cape that matched his eyes. The God of Death held back a sob as his eyes had tears running down his face. "Of course you did, Tommy.", he smiled as he praised his son. His arms outstretched to welcome Tommy back. The boy laughed as he tackled his father, white flowers rained around them and the God of Death looked down to see a small boy. The boy looked up and Philza smiled as Tommy grinned at him. "Father? Where are we going?", asked the boy while he wiped Philza's tears. The God smiled before picking up his son. Tommy's soul was always an innocent child so it came to no surprise that after his death he would appear like this to go to his resting place.
Philza began to walk until their surroundings became one that was familiar to them. "The forest!", chimed Tommy. Their cabin came into view and out came Wilbur. "Wilby!!", cried Tommy as he jump down to run to his older brother. Wilbur stood there in utter shock, he knew he was dead and his parents only came to deliver reassurance but now he saw his baby brother running towards him and he couldn't help but run to hide him.
Was his death painful? Was he scared when it happened? What about my sister and Techno? What happened?
Those thoughts vanished as the boy tackled him. His small red wings tried to hide Wilbur so he wouldn't disappear again. "Wilby! I'm so glad to see you!", smiled Tommy. His smile wavered as Wilbur's hand patted his head. This was the last straw for Tommy, big tears began to run down his face as he finally broke down and sobbed loudly. "I was really brave, Wilby! You told me not to cry and I didn't! I protected the people I love as I promised! Big Sister found me along with Techno, I wasn't scared because Techno sang for me... I-I wanted to see you again because I missed you so so much!", shouted the child in between sobs. Wilbur wrapped his wings around them and held Tommy close so the child would feel reassured.
"You did so well, Big Man... Don't worry, Big Brother Wilbur is going to take care of you now."
