You know I don't need you
But you know that I want you.

I want you pushing me around
On a fold out princess couch.

I want you plaiting my hair
After another family fight.

I want you giving me the best cuddle
Before my bombarded birthday dinner.

I want you blowing into taps as if it's a flute
Ignoring our grandmother's stare.

I want you giving me a goofy joke
After a crappy day.

I want you
I don't need you
But how did we get this lost
Along the way?
