Lena and Kara have now made their way to a small little diner in Midvale town, pulling their car up outside. As Kara and Lena entered the diner, Kara held the door open for Lena, wanting to be gentlewomanly.
"Thank you darling." Lena smiles.
Kara quickly follows Lena inside the diner, and the two then find a booth in the corner of the place to sit in.
"KARA!!! Is that you!?!?" An older woman says, who is wearing a uniform, clearly signalling she works at the diner.
"Mrs Showfield." Kara smiles, standing up from the booth and taking the older woman in for a hug, "It's nice to see you."
"You too Kara." Mrs Showfield replies.
Kara and Mrs Showfield end their hug, and the older woman then spots Lena sitting at the booth.
"Oh, I see you brought a guest, who isn't Alex." Mrs Showfield smiles, and then steps closer to Lena, holding out her hand to shake. "Hello, I'm Claire Showfield, the owner of this place, it's nice to meet you."
"Ohh.... hi. I'm Lena, it's nice to meet you too." Lena replies, as she shakes the older woman's hand.
"Sorry, I should have introduced you two." Kara says, "Mrs Showfield, this is my girlfriend, Lena."
"Oh." Mrs Showfield says, her eyes going wide, before a big smile grows on her face. "Well, isn't that wonderful. You are one lucky lady Lena, while Kara still lived in Midvale, I had been trying to get her to date one of my boys for years!"
Lena smiles at Mrs Showfield.
"I am aware of how lucky I am." Lena says, now looking at Kara.
Kara looks back at Lena with a big smile on her face.
"You have it all wrong Mrs Showfield, I am the lucky one." Kara says.
Mrs Showfield chuckles.
"Well isn't that sweet." The older lady smiles, "Now, can I get you both something to drink?"
"Ohh uhhh yeah.... Can I have a triple chocolate milkshake please." Kara says, licking her lips slightly.
"Of course dear." Mrs Showfield smiles, "And you Lena?"
"Uhhh.... Can I have a coffee, black?" Lena asks.
"Come on Lena, that's boring!" Kara moans.
"Oh Kara, leave your girlfriend alone. Let her pick what she wants. Not everyone can eat as much unhealthy food as you." Mrs Showfirled says.
Kara lets out a small huff upon hearing that. Meanwhile Lena just shakes her head.
"Fine. I'll have a chocolate milkshake, as well as the coffee." Lena says.
Kara smiles widely now, happy that Lena has got a milkshake as well.
"Very well." Mrs Showfield nods. "Kara, you are a bad influence on this girl."
"Oh, she certainly is." Lena smirks, thinking back to what they did in the cabin on the island, which entirely happened because of Kara's influence.
Kara smirks back at Lena.
"Well, I'll be back with your drinks in a few minutes." Mrs Showfield says.
"Okay, thank you, Mrs Showfield." Kara smiles.
"Of course dear. And it is wonderful to see you again." Mrs Showfield says, and then turns around and leaves the couple alone at their booth.
Kara and Lena both smile, happily, at one another, and then pick up the two menus on the table.
"So, what do you recommend?" Lena asks, making a pretty good guess that Kara likely ate here a lot when she was growing up.
"Uhhhh everything." Kara says, with a smirk.
Lena lets out a chuckle.
"Everything can't be equally good." Lena replies.
"Well, it is, and I've had absolutely everything on this menu, unless they've changed it, which they look like they haven't. Why would they change perfection after all?" Kara says.
Lena laughs again.
"Okay, well then what are you going to get today?" Lena asks.
"Uhhh.... I think.... I'm going to get a.... grilled steak sandwich.... with extra cheese..... and..... a chicken burger." Kara says.
Lena laughs once more, but this time at her girlfriend's appetite.
"Well, I think I'm going to get a hot dog then. I haven't had one of those since I was a child." Lena says.
"What?! Really?!" Kara says, surprised, "Lena, you have been really missing out! Hotdogs may not be a burger, but they are still great! I think you'll find the hotdogs here are delicious! In fact, I'm going to get one too."
"So, you are going to have 3 meals now?" Lena asks, with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh uhh." Kara stutters, slightly blushing. "Maybe I'll.... just have the hotdog and chicken burger then."
Lena looks at her girlfriend for a moment, with a slightly concerned look on her face.
"Kara." Lena says, reaching her hand out across the table to grab Kara's arm.
"Hmm?" Kara replies, looking up at the brunette.
"If you want three meals, then have three meals." Lena says, with a slight smile.
"But... isn't that too much? .... I don't want to come off as a pig..." Kara says.
"To who?" Lena questions, "To the few people in this diner? Or to Mrs Showfield?"
"No.... to you." Kara replies, biting her lip as she blushes.
"Kara, darling." Lena says, now putting both her hands on Kara's arm. "You could never come off as a pig to me. You are a Kryptonian, and you need to eat more food than us humans, I would never judge you for doing so. So, please, go ahead, order your three meals."
Kara looks up at Lena again, and sees that her girlfriend is giving her nothing but a loving smile. It makes Kara so happy that she can be with someone who isn't going to judge her for having 3 meals. Previously, when Kara has dated people in her past, seeing as they didn't know that she's an alien, Kara had to regulate what she ate at dinner, which usually meant she would end up going home hungry, and having a second dinner after her date.
"I love you." Kara replies, happy right now, not having any other words to say.
"I love you too." Lena smiles, as the two women just get lost in each other's eyes.
"Well, isn't that lovely." Mrs Showfield says, returning to the table with Kara and Lena's drinks.
Kara and Lena quickly move away from one another and look at Mrs Showfield, both blushing like schoolgirls who have been caught doing something they shouldn't.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't want you to stop on my account. I just have your drinks here." Mrs Showfield says, and then places down Lena's coffee in front of her, and then the two milkshakes in front of each woman.
"It's okay." Lena says, with a slight smile.
"Good. So, are you both ready to order?" Mrs Showfield asks.
"Yep." Kara nods.
"Great." Mrs Showfield replies, and gets out her notepad, knowing from previous experience that Kara usually orders more than one thing.
"We'll have two hotdogs, a grilled steak sandwich with extra cheese, and a fried chicken burger, please." Kara smiles.
"Would you like any dressings on the hot dogs?" Mrs Showfield asks.
"Uhhh.... Just ketchup for me please." Kara replies.
"And I'll have mustard and ketchup please." Lena says.
"Excellent." Mrs Showfield smiles, "Anything else?"
As Mrs Showfield asks this, Lena does one more scan down the menu, just to check if there is anything else that jumps out at her, and that is when she finds something that surprises her, but really shouldn't.
"Ohh... could we get some.... 'Kara's Pottstickers', please?" Lena requests.
"Oh of course. I'm surprised Kara didn't order them already." Mrs Showfield says, while Kara blushes.
"I though 3 meals and some potstickers would be pushing it." Kara admits.
Mrs Showfield chuckles.
"I doubt it dear. Remember, I once saw you eat 35 hotdogs in a hotdog eating contest here, and then ask for some potstickers 'to go', but I'm confident you ate most of them before you left." Mrs Showfield says.
Lena now laughs.
"Oh, I need to hear this story!" Lena says.
Kara groans.
Mrs Showfield chuckles again.
"Well, I will leave you two to it again. I'll be back in a bit with your food." Mrs Showfield says, and then leaves.
"Sooooo...... firstly....... why exactly do you have your own food item named after you on the menu?" Lena asks, with a smirk on her face.
"Well..... one day.... I came into the diner.... and I was.... feeling sad.... It was just one of those days where things kind of overwhelmed me.... and I got hit hard with the feelings that I would never see anyone on Krypton again, and that my mom and dad are dead..... Mrs Showfield noticed I was sad and then asked me if she could cheer me up in any way..... I just ordered some food.... But Mrs Showfield knew, from knowing me previously, that I LOVE potstickers, but at the time they didn't have them on the menu. So, Mrs Showfield had the cooks make potstickers especially for me, just to cheer me up." Kara explains.
"Oh that's nice." Lena smiles warmly, even if she didn't like hearing about Kara being sad on that day. It makes Lena think that maybe if they had both found each other back then, then they could have become more then, and been happy together, and cheered one another up on their sad days. But then at the same time, Lena knows that if they did meet when they were young, then she certainly would have never let Kara go, and they'd be married by now, and that would mean that Alura wouldn't exist, and Lena certainly doesn't want that. So, Lena thinks that maybe things turned out how they were supposed to, just to get them here.
"Yeah." Kara nods, "Once she gave them to me, it worked, it cheered me up. I felt so happy that she had gone to all that trouble to have them made for me, and they were delicious. So, after that, she promised to put them on the menu, and she named them after me. Apparently they are quite popular, or at least they were when I was a kid. Although, to be fair, I must have eaten like 50% of the potstickers they sold."
Lena chuckles again, thinking that 50% might actually be a low estimate, seeing as she knows Kara's stomach.
"That's amazing, Kara. Mrs Showfield is a wonderful person for doing that." Lena says.
"Yeah, she is." Kara nods, with a smile on her face. "But not just for that. She's an amazing person in general."
Lena nods her head as she smiles back at Kara.
"So.... you know what I am going to ask next, don't you?" Lena asks, as she takes the first sip of her milkshake, while Kara continues to drink hers.
Kara groans.
"You want to know about the hotdog eating contest..." Kara says, not even asking it as a question.
"Yep." Lena replies, popping the p.
Kara sighs, kind of not wanting to tell Lena this story because it's embarrassing.
"Sooooo...... it was dumb..... there was this.... jock kid, Brad, at school.... and he was a bully... and an absolute jerk to a bunch of people..... I hated him..... He never bullied me.... because he knew if he did Alex would have literally torn him to pieces. But, he always made comments about how I liked food or whatever... and poked and prodded me about it... Eventually.... there was this school fair thing.... for charity.... and there was this eating contest..... I didn't enter.... because I had learnt to not raise suspicion about myself.... but Brad did. He ended up winning.... After he won he taunted me... and told me he thought I would have entered..... but then said that he guessed a little girl like me couldn't handle keeping up with him in an eating contest...... As a result I got annoyed and I said I could.... and I challenged him to a hotdog eating contest at this diner a week later. He obviously agreed..... When Alex found out she was angry that I did it.... as she thought I was going to expose myself..... and didn't like that I was in a sort of fight with Brad.... who was popular.... But Alex didn't stop me..... So the next week came by..... and Brad and I were here in this diner.... and literally 50 – 60 other people from our school came to cheer on..... The agreement was to see who could eat the most hotdogs in 10 minutes. I ended up eating 35, while Brad could only eat 18, and honestly, I could have eaten much more. After, when it was announced I won, Brad was very angry, but as soon as he stood up, his eyes went wide, and then he puked, which made everyone laugh at him.... although Mrs Showfield wasn't happy. Then later.... Alex congratulated me.... but was a bit annoyed I just didn't limit how much I won by.... but I told her I wanted to embarrass Brad.... So yeah... that's the story." Kara explains.
Lena smiles widely at Kara again.
"Well, it sounds like Brad was a jerk, and you got to show him up in front of everyone, which is great." Lena says.
"Yeah." Kara nods.
There is then a moment of silence between the two women.
"Thank you for sharing that story with me, Kara." Lena says, breaking the silence.
"You don't need to thank me." Kara says.
"I do." Lena replies, quickly, "With every story you tell me, I feel closer to you, even ones like that. I get to know you better, and it makes me so happy."
Kara smiles lovingly at Lena upon hearing that.
"I'm glad then. But what about you? I've been the one sharing most of the stories from my childhood. Have you got any you would like to share?" Kara asks.
Lena sighs, sadly.
"Honestly Kara, I didn't have a happy childhood, for obvious reasons, so there is much there that is happy or anything." Lena replies.
Kara now reaches across the table to place her hand on one of Lena's arms.
"Lena, if you are willing, I want to hear the bad stories too. But only if you want to share them." Kara says.
"Are you sure?" Lena asks.
Kara nods her head.
"I just.... don't want it to come across as if I'm moaning all the time about my childhood..... I know it wasn't great.... But I know a lot of other people had it far worse.... and didn't grow up in a rich family." Lena says.
"It won't come across as moaning Lena. Like you said, I want to know as much about you as possible, to feel closer to you, and the stories from our past, good and bad, do that." Kara replies.
Lena now smiles at Kara, warmly.
"Okay." Lena nods, "But maybe another time? I don't think this is the best setting for one of those stories."
"Right." Kara nods.
Lena and Kara are then silent again for a moment.
"So, did you come here a lot when you were younger?" Lena asks.
"Yes." Kara nods, "Alex and I regularly would come here after school. We would get me a snack after school, and before dinner, before heading home. Although, a snack would basically be a burger or something for me. Alex would just get a milkshake or something."
"That sounds nice." Lena smiles.
"Yeah." Kara nods.
Kara and Lena continue to talk for a few more minutes, before Mrs Showfield arrives with their food, and places it all down on the table.
"There we go." Mrs Showfield says.
"Thank you." Kara smiles.
"Yes, thank you." Lena says as well.
"Of course, dears. I hope you enjoy your meal.... Or meals in Kara's case." Mrs Showfield smirks.
Lena chuckles.
Mrs Showfield then begins to walk away, but then turns around, looking back at Kara.
"Oh Kara?" Mrs Showfield asks.
"Yeah?" Kara replies.
"Where is that daughter of yours? I would love to see how much she has grown." Mrs Showfield asks.
"Oh.... She's spending the day with Eliza today. But.... I'll be sure to come back in here again with her, so you can see her, before we head back to National City." Kara says.
"That would be lovely." Mrs Showfield smiles, and then walks away.
Kara and Lena then tuck into their meals, and Kara, of course, quickly eats her burger, before then spending a few minutes to snack on a few potstickers. After that, Kara eats her grilled steak sandwich, and after she is finished with that meal, snacks on a few potstickers again, before then beginning to eat her fried chicken burger. Throughout all of that, Lena just watched her girlfriend in a sort of impressed awe at just how much food Kara can eat. By this point, Lena finishes her own hotdog, and then has a few potstickers for herself.
A few minutes later, Kara and Lena finish their food, with Kara allowing Lena to have the last potsticker, which she has never done for anyone else before in her life, even Alura. A few minutes later, Mrs Showfield comes back over, taking their empty plates, before then asking if they'd like any deserts. Kara declined, claiming they probably shouldn't eat desert, as then they'd be too full for their next activity, or at least Kara was thinking Lena might be. So, a few minutes later, Mrs Showfield comes back with the cheque.
"There we go. It was lovely to see you again, Kara." Mrs Showfield says, placing the cheque on the table. "And you Lena."
"It was nice seeing you too." Kara smiles.
"It was nice meeting you." Lena also smiles.
Mrs Showfield nods her head with a smile, and then walks away. After Mrs Showfield walks away both Kara and Lena reach for the cheque.
"What are you doing?" Kara asks, confused.
"Paying for our food." Lena replies.
"No way. I invited you here, I'm paying." Kara says back.
"Nope. I am not having that this time. I'm a billionaire Kara. I am paying for this one. If you don't let me pay, then no sex for a month." Lena says, not really being serious about the sex thing. Lena isn't sure if she could go more than a few days without having sex with Kara at this point.
Kara however doesn't want to take that chance, and her eyes go wide.
"F..fine." Kara replies, flustered by Lena threatening to withhold sex.
"Thank you, darling." Lena smirks, as she takes the cheque.
Lena reads the bill, and sees that their food amounts to $65, which is very reasonable seeing as Kara had 3 meals herself, and most of a side of potstickers. Lena then pulls her purse out of a bag which she carried into the diner, from the car, and places 4 $100 bills down.
"Okay, all done." Lena smiles, "We can go."
"Are you sure? You don't want any change or anything?" Kara asks, not knowing how much Lena paid exactly, but knowing she likely paid more than their food costs.
"No. I'm good." Lena smiles.
"Alright then. Let's go." Kara smiles, standing up, and then holding out her hand for Lena to take.
Lena smiles at Kara and takes her girlfriend's hand as she stands up.
"Bye Mrs Showfield." Kara waves.
"Bye Kara. Bye Lena." Mrs Showfield waves, as she watches the two girlfriends leave.
"Bye." Lena says with a smile.
Kara and Lena then walk out of the diner and get in their car.
"Alright? What is next?" Lena asks.
"Oh you'll see." Kara smirks.

Alura and Eliza are just coming out of their swimming session, having spent the last hour in the pool having a lot of fun. Eliza took Alura down the water slide multiple times, which the five-year-old couldn't seem to get enough of. However, the one feature that Alura did not care for, was the big wave pool which activated every 20 minutes. Eliza understood this completely, seeing as Alura still isn't a very good swimmer, so it would obviously scare her. Eliza was just thankful that the wave pool, which was part of the main pool, didn't put Alura off the experience in general.
"So, did you enjoy that?" Eliza asks, as she holds hands with Alura as they walk out.
"Uhuh." Alura nods.
Eliza smiles down at Alura, as they continue to walk towards the car, and Eliza notices Alura dragging her feet slightly.
"Alura?" Eliza asks.
"Hmm." Alura replies, tiredly.
In that moment Eliza makes her decision.
"I think we are just going to head back home. I think you need a nap." Eliza says.
"What.... about ice cream?" Alura asks, tiredly.
Eliza chuckles to herself, Alura reminding her so much of Kara when she was a kid. Eliza remembers, that just like Alura now, Kara would always ask about food, even if she was super tired and sleepy.
"I'll tell you what. We'll have some for desert at our dinner date tonight. How does that sound?" Eliza suggests.
"Okay." Alura nods, still sounding very tired.
Eliza and Alura then make it back to Eliza's car a few minutes later, and Eliza quickly gets Alura into her car seat. As soon as Eliza begins driving back home, she looks in the rear-view mirror and sees that her granddaughter has fallen asleep already.

Meanwhile, Kara and Lena are driving on a road through a forest by Midvale, that leads up one of the very large hills. Kara has still not told Lena where they are going, so Lena is very curious as to what her girlfriend has planned for her. Eventually, the couple reach a dirt road turning, which Kara drives onto.
"You're not taking me out here to murder me, are you?" Lena jokes, thinking about how this would be a perfect place to murder someone.
Kara laughs.
"Of course not. We'll be there in a minute, and I think you will enjoy it." Kara smiles.
"Okay." Lena nods, and then just returns to looking out the window, taking in the sights around her as the car drives further down the dirt road.
A few minutes later, Kara parks the car in a bit of a clearing. Lena for her part is confused, because there doesn't seem to be anything here.
"Okay, we just have to walk a couple of minutes from here." Kara smiles.
"Okay..." Lena replies, still unsure as to what they are going to see.
Kara gets out of the car, and then uses her superspeed to quickly go to Lena's side of the car and open the door for her, like a gentlewoman again. Lena smiles widely at this action from Kara.
"Thank you darling." Lena smiles, as she gets out of the car, and then leans in a places a kiss on Kara's lips.
"Hmmm. You're welcome." Kara hums, happily.
"So, where are we going then?" Lena asks.
"It's just a few minutes walk down that path there." Kara says, pointing.
"Okay." Lena nods.
"Shall we?" Kara asks, holding out her hand for Lena to take.
Lena smiles at Kara and then takes her hand, and begins walking down the path with her girlfriend.
The two women only walk for a couple of minutes, just as Kara said, and that is when Lena can hear water, but not just any water, Lena hears the sound of a waterfall. Eventually, the couple come to a clearing, and that is when Lena witnesses one of the most beautiful sights she as ever seen. There is a small pool, in the middle of the clearing, that has a small waterfall flowing down into it, it looks like something out of a movie.
"Wow." Lena says, in awe.
"Beautiful, right?" Kara says.
"Uhuh." Lena nods.
"Do you want to take a dip?" Kara asks, with a smirk.
"Uhhh." Lena replies, not agreeing right away because even though the couple have their bikinis on under their clothes, the water doesn't exactly look warm. "I don't know... it looks cold."
Kara nods in agreement, and then turns to look at the water and uses her heat vision to heat up the water. Lena grows a surprised look on her face as Kara does this. About 2 minutes later, the water begins to have steam coming out of it, signalling that Kara has successfully heated it up.
"There, better?" Kara asks.
"Better." Lena smiles.
Kara and Lena then remove their clothes, leaving them at the side of the pool, and slowly get into the water. Lena is less afraid of being in this pool than the lake, because she can see that it is very shallow, so there isn't any risk of her drowning or anything, even though she is a good swimmer herself. As the couple step in, they both feel the hot water move over their bodies, and relaxing all their muscles.
"Ooooo.... this is nice." Kara hums.
"Yes, it is." Lena agrees, with a smile on her face.
Kara and Lena then move so they sit down at one of the edges where there is a rock formation a bit like a seat in a hot tub. Kara then looks at Lena with a smirk.
"You know, we could have gone skinny dipping." Kara smirks.
Lena chuckles.
"Anything to get me naked." Lena replies.
Kara now laughs.
"That's not a no." Kara replies.
"Well, I am saying no. I have no intentions of getting naked in here. Heavens knows what bacteria is in this water. Plus, I know if I get naked, then you won't be able to keep your hands off me, and we will end up having sex again, and I just can't go again right now. I need to recover from eating." Lena says.
"Hmmm.... well can you blame me?" Kara smirks.
Lena laughs again.
"No. I feel the exact same when I see you naked." Lena smiles.
Kara smiles back at Lena.
"Well.... if we can't have sex.... can we at least make out a little?" Kara asks.
"Of course, darling." Lena smiles.
Lena then moves closer to Kara, and the couple then begin making out, enjoying the relaxing qualities of the hot water as they do.
