two days later, i was absolutely out of my mind with boredom. i had spent the day after the picnic doing work stuff and then i had to get up at the butt crack of dawn the morning after that for my consultation with the lawyer.
luckily, it went quickly and i was back home by nine.
unfortunately, julian was out of town for a few days and the boys were planning a stream so i had nothing to do.
"nickkkk," i whined, "i'm bored."
"why don't you stream with us?" karl asked.
dream perked up at that. "yeah, thalia. why don't you?"
"i- um," was all i said.
"we could just play minecraft and chill," nick suggested. "you in?"
i considered it for a second before saying, "fine. i've got nothing else to do. but you cannot tell everyone that i live here."
"why is that?" karl asked.
"some of your fans are absolutely nuts and i don't want to be attacked because i'm a female who lives with you two," i said.
"makes sense," karl admitted. "just introduce her as a friend and don't go any deeper than that."
"we can show our nails!" i exclaimed.
"yes!" karl said, holding his hand up for a high five.
i gave him a a high five and it made a loud smacking sound.
"okay we're streaming at eleven," nick said. "you've got until then to do whatever you want."
"i'm off to go get groceries. otherwise we'll all starve," i said. "i'll be back around eleven."
once i got all the groceries and put them up, i changed into a pair of shorts and a random band shirt, then headed to the kitchen to do the stream. nick's computer was already set up there, along with my own. karl was drinking his fourth monster drink and nick was adjusting the camera.
"i'm here," i said. "what do you want me to do?"
"can you go ahead and join the world?" nick asked. "we've already got the stream starting soon playing and i want you to already be there when we actually play."
"okay." i opened up minecraft and clicked on the world nick was on. "ha, you named it l'swagberg like i suggested."
ten minutes later, it was time.
nick started the stream while karl and i waited outside of the camera's angle.
"hey, chat," he said. "i felt like streaming today so i'm going to play minecraft with some of my friends." he waited a second before saying, "one of the friends i'm playing with is someone you guys aren't familiar with. her name is thalia and she's been my best friend since we were kids. be nice to her please."
that was my cue. i moved into the camera's view and sat in my chair beside nick. "hey guys! i'm thalia."
the chat started spamming "hey" and "OMG NEW PERSON", which made me smile.
"dream and i have tried to get thalia to play with us before, but she always said no until today," nick explained. "although i think it was someone else who convinced her to play."
karl jumped in behind us, giggling like a maniac. "hey chat!" he said happily.
of course, chat went crazy at the fact that karl was with us.
"oh, let's show them our nails," karl said. to the viewers, he said, "thalia painted all our nails the other day."
we all held up our hands, showing off our georgenotfound nails, which the chat loved.
"i did dream's too but he's been picking at them so they don't look as good," i huffed.
we made casual conversation for a few more minutes before we started playing. once dream had also joined, i went off to get wood.
"okay, thalia," nick started to say, "the first thing to do is get wood and make a crafting table."
"way ahead of you dude," i told him as i went ahead and crafted a pickaxe.
"wait, you know how to play minecraft?" nick asked. "since when?"
"years, sampam," i told him. "you just don't pay any attention to my life."
"oh burn," karl added. "she seems to know what she's doing."
"i do," i said confidently.
we decided to build a small town after george joined, each of us working on our own houses and occasionally sneaking in the other's to steal what they had. nick tried to sneak in on me, but he didn't realize i could see his computer screen, so i turned around and used my axe to kill him.
"NO THALIA WHAT THE HELL?" he screamed.
"that's what you get for trying to steal from me," i said with a small smirk.
i went about building my house and had just finished emptying some of my inventory into a chest when the entire left side of my house blew up.
"WHAT THE FRICK FRACK CADILLAC HAPPENED?!" i screamed, probably a little too loudly.
the boys all died laughing at me while i was fuming.
"karma's a bitch," nick said.
"listen here sampam, if you were the one who blew up my house, i'm going to attack you when you least expect it and make you regret it," i threatened.
"i'm kinda scared of her," karl said. "the last time you made her mad, you almost destroyed my bathroom."
"how come you guys never tell me when interesting things happen?" george whined.
"come live with us and you'll be smack dab in the middle of the action," i told him before realizing my mistake. the chat went absolutely crazy, asking if i lived with dream and nick.
"guys," dream said over the call, "calm down. thalia does live with me and sapnap."
"dream!" i yelled, burying my face in my hands. "that's the one thing i asked not to be shared."
"sorry, thalia," dream said with his signature wheeze. "but i don't see why it matters."
"that's it," i muttered, getting up and running upstairs.
"where are you going?" karl asked.
i ignored him and ran upstairs to dream's room, pushing the door open and tackling him off his computer chair.
"we end up in this position quite a lot," he teased, a big stupid grin on his face.
"because you're an idiot," i said firmly. "and you deserve to be tackled by a girl."
i eventually went back downstairs and we finished out the stream, me still pretending to be mad at dream and him knowing i wasn't actually.
