It was the next day and I got a letter from Cedric. He wanted to go on another date, this time Draco had no idea.
I intended to keep it that way because that would mean we could have the house to ourselves.
Draco told me he wouldn't be home tonight because him and his guy friends are hanging out.
I saw that as an opportunity..

I went into the kitchen to get a snack when Draco was already there.
He started talking about how he's most likely gonna be home late.
"..don't miss me too much Y/n."
"Trust me, I'll be fine."
Later that day
I took a shower and put on comfy clothes so Draco would think I'm just staying in.
I went downstairs as he talked to me..
"..and remember to make sure the door is locked."
"Draco I've got it completely under control, alright."
"Fine, I'll be back later."
"Have fun" I said as followed behind him so I could lock the door as he left.
"I will." He said as he walked out.
As soon as he left I ran up the stairs to my room and got ready.
Cedric said to meet him at his house.
When I made it there I saw him waiting outside for me.
"Nice night, isn't it." He said as he looked up.
"Yeah, it's nice out here." I added.
"So, you want to go on a walk? I didn't have anything specific planned I just thought we could go wherever the night takes us." Cedric said.
"Sure."
A few minutes later I realized we were passing another house, it was the Weasley home.
I looked up at the top floor and saw Ron looking out his window as you could hear the twins downstairs talking.
I grabbed a small rock and threw it at Ron's window.
He jumped back slightly and looked down at Cedric and I. We waved to him as he waved back.
I saw Hermione behind him poking him on the shoulder. He turned and pointed out the window to us.
She saw us and waved as well.
I instinctively grabbed Cedric's hand and we continued walking.
"So, what other fun stuff you doing this summer?" he asked.
I thought for a second about becoming a death eater and slightly cringed. I pushed it out of my head, "Nothing much really."
"At least you get to stay in the manor, must be nice I bet."
"Yeah it is, if you wanted you could see it."
"Draco doesn't even like it when I make eye contact with him let alone going into his home-
"but he's not home, and neither are his parents.." I continued.
I watched as he started to blush.
"Draco's having a 'guys night out' and his parents are on business for the weekend."
"But what if-
"Nothing's gonna happen, would you just trust me?" I playfully hit him in the arm.
He laughed and agreed as we went to the manor.
I opened the door with my key and we walked in.
Cedric was at a loss for words as he looked around.
"Want an official tour?" I asked.
"Sure." He said.
After 20 minutes of showing him around we got to my room.
He cautiously walked in as I followed shutting the door behind me.
"Wow, I like your room."
"Thanks," I sat down on the window seat in my room and looked outside.
He sat down next to me and smiled.
"So..what do you wanna do?" I awkwardly asked.
"You know what I wanna do." He whispered as he leaned in and put a stray hair behind my ear.
Our lips were touching for the first time in a while, it felt right. Being with Cedric made me forget about all the bad things that have happened in my life.
We moved to my bed and continued to make out for what felt like forever.
He started to kiss my neck and my chest when I started thinking..
why can I breathe so clearly..?
Oh he doesn't have his hand around my neck..
He had his hand around my wrist lightly holding onto it as he continued kissing my neck.
He took his hand off my wrist and moved it to my upper thigh.
Draco's pov
Blaise, Crabbe, Goyle, Adrian, Terence and I all sat around a table playing cards.
(Blaise's parents were on vacation so he told us to come over.)
"You guys want?" Blaise asked as he took some fire whiskey and started pouring it.
We all said yes, obviously.

After playing 10 rounds of cards and having 2 cups of whiskey I looked at the clock.
I should probably get back to Y/n.
I said goodbye to the boys, who were all drunk.
Y/N pov
He stopped for a second and looked at the clock.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"I have to go home." He whispered.
"Do you absolutely have to?"
We both sat up as he explained how he wants to be home so if his dad needed something or didn't feel well Cedric would be there.
"Thanks for understanding Y/n."
"Of course Ced."
He kissed me goodbye and left.
I quickly changed back into the comfy clothes I was wearing before.
As I walked out of my room I saw Draco walking out of his room as well.
"When did you get here?" I asked.
"I live here remember dummy?" Draco sneered.
I rolled my eyes.
We went in the living room and sat in front of the fire as he talked about his time.
"..What about you? Did you do anything..fun and exciting?" He questioned.
"Not really, unless you count finishing a book and drinking a cup of water 'fun'.
I lied, I lied straight to his face.

Draco's parents would be coming back tomorrow night which meant that the manor had to be completely spotless.
We woke up first thing in the morning to scrub, vacuum and dusk every part of the house.
When we finished cleaning all three floors we put the cleaning supplies away.
I stopped and looked at Draco for a second, I couldn't help but laugh..
"What? Ugh, what are you laughing at?"
"Your hair..it's...lovely."
His hair was a complete mess.
Some of it was nearly poking his eye out and some of it was standing up in the back.
"Shut up." He said as he felt his hair and stormed in his room.
We both made ourselves look presentable and sat down in the kitchen.
When his mom got home she greeted me and Draco.
"Where's father?" Draco asked.
She sniffled, "I'll explain everything during dinner."
We all sat down and she told us how Lucius was in Azkaban and how Draco would now have to fill in for his father.
"Tomorrow we are all meeting Borgin and Burkes for the initiation ceremony."
Draco and I quickly looked over at each other in complete shock.
"I know this is a lot for the both of you. But I'll be there the entire time. Just be polite, answer anything he asks you, and do what he says."
"But-
"Understand?"
"Yes." We both said at the same time.
Narcissa grabbed Draco's hand and gently squeezed it with a slight smile.
Later that night I couldn't sleep.
I went to Draco's room and he was sitting in the middle of his floor crying watching the fireplace.
He looked over at me and quickly rubbed away his tears.
"Sorry, I can't sleep." I whispered as I sat down next to him.
"I'm not ready to do this.." Draco whispered as his voice cracked.
"I'm not either, but it's happening wether we want it to or not."
A tear fell down his cheek. I wiped it away and turned his head towards me.
"It'll be okay." I whispered.
"I can't do this Y/n, I can't do this-
"Yes you can, and you will Draco. You're so strong and brave and we'll get through this together."
I gave him a hug.
The rest of the night we sat in the same spot on his floor with his head resting on my shoulder as we both cried.
"Y/n.."
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"No, like I really really love you." He said as he smiled at me holding my face.
I kissed him, it felt like the longest kiss I've ever had in my life.
"No matter what happens Draco, I promise you..I always will."
