Dani:
Today was just like any other day, except it wasn't. I got a call from Mia asking me to help with Emily's birthday party. Apparently they think we're friends now... Whatever.
I decided to get dressed in a simple white crop top, black shorts, and thigh high boots. My hair in a ponytail with minimal makeup.
Before I could go meet up with Antonio there was an attack. I morphed and started this battle. This Nighlok was one that was hard to fight, I grew up with some while living with my dad.
"Ah the hybrid. How can you turn your back on one of your own? You're a disgrace." "You are not one of my own!" We resumed our heavy battle. Out of nowhere the nighlok is shot down. I turn to see the other rangers.
"Snack time is over for you, Nighlok." Jayden called out. "The samurai rangers? I have no business with you, just the one in white." "You're not going near her. You're done." Antonio stated as he and Mia charged.
"Body swarm!" oh no.
"Careful. It's like dodgeball with teeth." I told them, while Mike helped me up from the ground. His arm around my waist, "You okay?" "Yeah, don't worry about me."
We all started to fight the monster and it wasn't easy. He knocked them all down except me and Emily. "You'll both make a fine dessert." Once he knocked us down he took my spirit.
I then demorphed and saw nothing but black.
3rd POV:
"NO!" "DANI!" The team screamed out to her. Mike and Antonio ran to Dani, while Kevin and Mia and Emily guarded them. Jayden attacked the nighlok, "What did you do to them?" "Her spirit was delicious, and in 24 hours, it'll be mine. FOREVER."
"Huh?" Mia said. "What?" Antonio asked getting up. "No way?!" Mike exclaimed still holding onto Dani.
"Of course, if you defeat me, you can have all her spirit back. But you won't have the chance because I'm going back to the nether world where no mortal can follow. And I'm taking the white ranger with me."
"What?!" "NO!" "You can't."
Mike held a lifeless Dani closer to him. "All of you try to enjoy your one last day with your friend, because I'm leaving and I won't be coming back." "No! We won't let that happen." Mike screamed.
"Yeah!" Kevin agreed.
"No way!" Mia yelled.
Yes way! See ya." He knocked down Mike, grabbed Dani and went to leave. Mia rushed after him. "Wait, get back here!" She yelled to him.
Kevin, Emily, Mike, Antonio, and Mia attacked him, but he body swarmed over powering them. Antonio blocked his attack unknowingly to the others, marking the nighlok. He went to grab Dani but saw something causing him to drop her and leave.
"Have a nice day!"
They tried to approach Dani but Deker appeared in his nighlok form, grabbing her then leaving before they could do or say anything else. "Dani!" The team said.
"What do we do now?" Kevin asked worried for his sort-of friend/sort-of teammate. "The sun's already setting. By this time tomorrow, Daniela may never wake up." The pink ranger told the others, letting tears fall.
"We need to save Dani from those Nighlok." Jayden told his team, "But we can't track her Jay." "Antonios right-" Mike started, sounding defeated, "All we can do know is hope she's okay."
They head home and prepare for what's about to come.

Dani:
I woke up to a cool, damp rag on my forehead being held by my father. "Dad?" "It's okay princess. I've got you." I nodded and relaxed as he retold me the events of what happened. "I'll call the rangers so they don't think I'm dead." "First rest, then you can call them." "Okay."
I never did end up calling. I just spent the whole time with my dad. It seems that being half nighlok, all the monster did was knock me out, then make me weaker. Nothing but that.

I heard that the rangers are going to bring the nighlok back. So I watched form a distance.
"Nighlok! Come out, you coward!" Mike yelled slashing at the crack with his spin sword. "Mike. Stop!" Jayden yelled to him. He took a few more swings before he stopped and punched the column in anger. "MIKE!" Mia, Kevin, and Emily followed.
"Doing that's not gonna bring her back." Mia told him softly. "Then what are we gonna do? Huh? Tell me." Mike said hurt. Then *dramatically I might add* Dad came before them in a strike of lightning. They got into a fighting position, as Jayden recognized him. "You."
"It seems I have bad timing. I thought we could finally duel, but I can see you're already preoccupied." "Then go away, unless you're going to bring Dani back." "We have bigger issues than you right now." Mike and Jayden said to my father.
"The white ranger is safe, that I can assure you. But there is a way for green to save his girlfriends spirit." Dad told them, I could hear the distain in his voice as he called me the green rangers girlfriend. I blushed, as did Mike. "She's not my girlfriend."
"How?" Kevin and Mia asked. "Simply give yourself over to them. Then you can save them." "Wait are you saying you made that choice?" Jayden questioned with a deep frown.
"I don't know how it happened, but me and my daughter are living proof it can be done." He exposed before turned nighlok and they jump into a fighting position. "You have a daughter?" Em asked, "Yes. She a half nighlok by birth, her mother a human. I welcome you to do it. It will make our upcoming duel even more glorious." Then he disappeared.
"I can't believe it. Deker... has a daughter.." "I know Kev, It's weird."
"Become a nighlok?" Mia quizzed, "I'll do it." Mike said looking at the gap. "Me too. I want to save her." "Mike. Emily. Think about this."
"What's there to think about? Daniela is the strongest of us and she deserves better. This is one of her first missions with us and we blew it already." They all looked guilty with what Mike said. This made me feel warm and fuzzy, I don't like this feeling.
"Mike has a point, she is the best of us. She has the strongest, most loyal, and most selfless spirit and that nighlok doesn't deserve it. We haven't known her for long but I can see it, and I know you guys can too." Emily continued. I smiled hearing this.
"We all do it." Kevin said, "We're a team."
"Mike this may be too risky." "Nothing's too risky for her." Mike said, making me look down and blush missing the smug looks the team gave Mike.
Before they go through the crack, Antonio stops them. After explaining how he could draw out the nighlok, I got dizzy and sat down.
I must have passed out again, because I woke up to them fighting the nighlok. I couldn't morph but I sent a slash too him. I'm tired and weak looking and could barely stand on my own.
I passed out again, man this is tiring.
I woke up after the battle, in Mikes arms. He already demorphed. "Mike?" "Hey." We shared a smile as he held me.
I was then pulled into a group hug. Then we head back to the shiba house for Em's party.
"What is this?" Emily asked happily.
"Surprise!" We all shouted, jumping out from our hiding spots.
"Happy birthday!" I said with a smirk, not a smile but a smirk.
"Are you surprised?" Antonio asked and she replied with an enthusiastic hum.
Jayden walked up to her gently with a shy smile, handing her a card. "It's from your sister." She read it out loud to us. 'Happy birthday, my darling sister. Miss you heaps. All my love, Serena.'
Nio then covered her eyes and sat her down in front of the cake, "What's a birthday without a cake?" Revealing a cake that said 'Happy birthday Emily and clawzord.'
"Clawzord?" Kevin asked.
"Really Nio?"
"It's his birthday too." Said zord chittered, and we all laughed a bit.
"You guys are the best!"
"Nah. You are Emily. I wouldn't have taken that hit if I didn't think so. Your amazing. Happy birthday." I said with a soft smile. She hugged me. "Thanks Dani." The others looked happy and shocked as I hugged her back.
"Who wants cake?" Mia picked up a knife. Emily looked nervous, from what I remember Nio said she couldn't cook. I moved over and Mike came up to me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
Ignoring everyone around us, I looked up at him and him, down at me. "What are you doing?" I asked with a smirk, "Nothing. Nothing at all." He said smiling down at me. His smile seemed to grow when he saw the red on my cheeks.
We turn our attention back to the party. "Blow out your candles." Kevin told Em. "Make a wish first." Mia reminded.
Then she started opening presents, she seemed to like mine, a custom made charm bracelet with the ranger elements on it.
Spending the rest of the party with Mikes arm around me.
I got ready to leave. I heard the others tell Mike to go after me, so he offered to walk me to the door. I told everyone goodnight and Mike walked me out, "Hey thanks for coming to the party. It means a lot to Em."
"No problem, I like being around y'all. Its fun. I see her and the rest of them as friends." "what about me?" "Huh?" "You said you see the others as friends-" He got closer to me, until there was no space between us, "But you didn't say anything about me. What am I to you?"
"I don't know just yet." I said with a bright smile. I kissed him on the cheek, "We'll just have to see. Goodnight Mike." He blushed, "Goodnight Daniela."
