Faye left for her meeting and it was just me and baby so I'm calling her out of school so we can hang together she'll be there tomorrow. Faye is about to be on my ass but it's worth it lol.

I walked into the kitchen and she finished her breakfast

Faye had tears rolling from her eyes my mamas was bawling I walked to her wiping her eyes and kissing her lips

I left out making my way back to the coffee shop to grab Lay
I made sure to text my assistant Philip to get all the adoption paperwork together and sent it over to Faye assistant Madison it's been a year so we pulling all the stops I even went to grab Faye an engagement ring yesterday it's time moe
I walked in and he had Lay taking orders with him lol my baby love it here

Me-ran it up all by myself, though, now they never gon stop me

We made it to red lobster being seated and we got our order taken
Me- I wanted to talk to you

I giggled along with her
Me- I want to adopt you Lay, I want you to legally be part of me and I wanna give you my last name so you can be a Brewster just like mommy gone be, I want you to really, really be my daughter Layla
She had tears in her eyes
Layla- so I'll be a part of you and mommy, daddy?
Me- absolutely what you think about that
She jumped in my arms wrapping her arms around my neck tightly with tears falling on my shirt and I had tears in my eyes as well
Layla- yes please, I can't wait to have the same name as you daddy
Me- I can not wait either Lay I love you more than anything in this world you gone always be my first love, my first baby girl
Layla- and your favorite person cause your mine shh don't tell mommy

We finished eating and made it home

Next Month
I was throwing Dave and Layla a little intimate get together with Donna, Carlos, Ally, Jay, and Dave and I God baby Jace
I have been so busy getting this party together, I got my IUD removed, and my clientele has been through the roof lately and helping out Ally as much as I can

I ended up having Dave assistant Philip slide Layla's birth certificate in with some papers that Dave had to sign so his name could be on it and I'll give it to him today at the get-together and that will complete the adoption process for us he didn't ask me to but he deserves this he breaks his back for us and I wanna make sure he knows I'll break my back for him as well
I was having it in the backyard I had it decorated nicely drinks and food was out and I was waiting on my models Dave and Layla to get dressed lol
They finally came down
Me- took y'all long enough
Dave- tell mama it takes time to look as good as us
Layla- period daddy
Me- lol y'all got it, it's y'all day
Dave gave me a serious look
Dave- it's our day mama all three of us
I kissed him smiling
Me- I guess you're right, okay I'm about to get dressed people should start arriving soon babies
Dave- alright mamas, I put you something on the bed to wear I know you been on go putting this together I appreciate you

I found the outfit and got dressed quickly doing my hair
Making my way back downstairs
Everybody was here and we ate played music and of course congratulated Dave and Layla
I grabbed our mic connected to the speaker
Me- alright first of all thank you all for coming and supporting something major to us Dave thank you so much for everything you do for our girl and I couldn't have asked for a better father for Layla you go above and beyond for her every single day and always put her first we love you to pieces thank you for helping me raise that beautiful, smart, creative, feisty little princess as Dave call her his baby so I wanted to stamp it, the adoption final but we needed something else
I pulled out the birth certificate with Dave name under Father and mine under mother and Layla new name
Me- Layla Amani Love-Brewster /Mother- Faye Love and Father- David Brewster
I cried seeing him cry
Carlos- yeah son
Donna- im so happy for y'all
Ally- omg!!!
Jay- yes sir
Me- nobody else name deserves to be there but yours you got us, Dave, forever and we got you, David
Dave- I can't take this moe
He came over picking me up hugging me tightly sating me down he embraced Layla
I gave Dave the mic
Dave- wow I wasn't expecting this at all stay up here Layla and Faye
He placed me in front of him and Layla on the side of him
Dave- this just made me the happiest man I swear but you said it's complete but we missing one thing if Layla gone have my name then mama's you defiantly need it too
He got on one knee and I couldn't stop the tears from flowing down my eyes
Me- Stop Playing Dave
Ally- omggggg best friend
Donna- I need some tissue
Dave- This has been the best year of my life Faye I can not wait another second to be engaged to you and married this just showed me how you always go above and beyond for me, giving me my first child and making me the happiest man you one of a kind and I mean that Faye im so in love with you and there is no need to prolong being one with you I don't need any more time to know you were made for me Faye I love everything about you and this shit in my soul I need you Faye you're my best friend and the person that puts me at peace when I'm with you im home you're my Loc forever will you do me the honor and marry me
I couldn't even talk I was in complete shock

Everybody laughed
Me- absolutely Dave I would be honored to be your wife I love you so much
Layla- yayyyyyyyyyy
He picked me up spinning me around and kissing me so passionately
It's me a fiancée omggg I'm really marrying the love of my life
He slid the ring on my finger and it was gorgeous
Me- omg look at it
Dav- now you better walk around with it all on you Faye, you the one
Me- definitely cause these bitches could never
I stuck my tongue out getting hype with Ally
Ally- it was so hard keeping this secret
Me- ooo so everybody knew huh
Everybody laughed trying to play crazy
Donna- im so happy for you both we love you Faye

Carlos- im so proud of y'all best daughter in law
Donna- couldn't ask for a better one
Me- no me and Lay couldn't ask for a better family you both always treated us like we were a part of this family and loved us unconditionally so I thank you for being grandparents to Layla and giving me parents I can lean on and that support me I love yall
Donna- don't start Faye I need some tissue and girl please we love y'all to death we family we in this together
Carlos- you know y'all, my girls
We hugged and everybody enjoyed the food, drinks, and music
I was standing admiring my ring and I felt hands around my waist
Dave-mm Mrs. Brewster huh
Me- ain't no turning back now
Dave- good I wasn't planning on it
Me- I can't believe you proposed to me
Dave-believe it baby and I'll do it over and over again if that means I can be with you
Me- ugh Dave and I would say yes over and over again
Dave- my fiancée mm that just roll off the tongue

We enjoyed the rest of our night with Dave not being able to keep his hands to himself lol
