~Around a year later~
Y/n's POV
I opened up the firm like I said I would. I was the only doctor. I mainly did check ups but I was also licensed to be a surgeon as well if necessary. It's usually very steady paced
I walked into the room to see a mother and son
"Hi I'm Dr. Kujo, are you here for a check-up or is something wrong?" I ask as I sit down on the chair
"Oh, Timmy just hasn't been feeling well. He's had a fever, and it's just been terrible" The lady says. I quickly write that down. I get up and walk to the boy. I pull out my stand and check his body.
The poor boy has the flu.
I quickly healed him
"How do you feel now?" I ask
"It's like, I was never sick" Timmy says
"But you didn't even do anything-" The mother says
"Mommy! I feel all better!" Timmy yells. She stares shocked
"I don't know what you did but thank you" She says.
"Of course" I say. As the day continued on, I noticed that a lot of my patients had the flu.
It must be going around
I began to clean the place for the next patient to enter. I wouldn't dare allow these germs to spread.
I could hire people to clean for me but, if I want it done right, it's best I do it myself
I made sure everything was perfectly clean. I could see the floor sparkling it was so clean- okay it wasn't sparkling but it was clean alright. As I got ready to walk out of the door, something felt different
That's odd, usually I enjoy my walks home. Time for me to think to myself and ponder my life decisions. Yet, I'm not in the mood. Was it the cleaning? I did do a lot of it after all. Well I can always teleport home.
I pulled out my stand and teleported home. The first thing I noticed was Jotaro on the couch watching a dolphin documentary. He seemed really engrossed into it. I stared at him as I found his little obsession with dolphins cute
"How long are you going to keep staring at me woman?" He asks. I felt my face heat up
"I'm shocked you noticed, you seemed pretty into that show" I say
"Are you wearing new perfume?" He asks still watching the show. I looked at him confused
"No, why?" I ask
"You smell like cleaning supplies" He says
"Is it that strong?" I ask
"Yes" he says
"Good thing I didn't walk home" I mutter heading to our shared room to shower. I walked into the bathroom and undressed myself. I turned on the shower and waited for it to heat up. Once it was warmed, I got in and began to wash myself
Warm showers are always the best
A couple minutes later I rinsed myself off. I turned off the water and grabbed a towel to wrap myself in. I stepped out of the shower and then walked to the closet to grab comfortable clothes. Once I found what I was looking for I put them on. I then ran to the living room and jumped on the couch. Jotaro was still watching that documentary
"I ordered food over the phone" Jotaro says. I was taking up basically the whole couch
"That sounds great" I say
"You're in my space" Jotaro says
"Okay, and?" I ask. He gives me a side glare which makes me laugh
"Someone is grumpy" I say sitting up. He doesn't respond and goes back to his show. Suddenly the door bell rang
"I'll get it" I say standing up and walking to the door. I opened it to see a guy with food
"Here's your food" He says handing it to me. I grab some cash and hand it to him. I close the door and then bring the food into the kitchen. I opened the boxes to find out it was from F/r(Favorite Restaurant)
"I've been wanting this" I say with a smile
"Don't eat it all" Jotaro says from behind me
"No promises" I say. We both sat down and ate. It was relatively quiet. It wasn't awkward, it was a nice silence. Once we both finished, I decided I'd go to sleep since I was feeling tired. I walked to our room and laid on the bed. Sinking into the mattress, eventually I fell asleep
~Next Day~
I woke up and the first thing I noticed was my head. It was pounding. I checked the time to see that it was 10:48
It's Tuesday, I'm late for work
"I'm so late" I say rushing out of bed. I trip and hit the floor face first
"What are you doing, woman?" Jotaro asks
"I'm late for work" I say standing up only to grab my head in pain. He gave me a weird look
"What are you talking about?" He asks
"I have work, today is Tuesday Jotaro" I say walking to the closet. I felt lightheaded as I continued to walk but I ignored it. I went to open the door when I felt a hand on my shoulder
"What?" I ask
"Today is Saturday, Y/n" Jotaro says
"What are you talking ab-" I cut myself off as I sneezed. Jotaro turned me around and looked at me closely. He put his hand on my forehead.
"You're sick. Go back to bed" He says
"I'm fine" I say as I turn to walk into the closet only to hit the door I never opened.
"Ow" I say. Jotaro dragged me back to bed
"Stay" He says
"I'm fine rea-" I say only to be cut off
"Stay in bed! Don't leave, woman!" Jotaro yelled at me as he walked out.
Aw, he cares
A couple minutes passed and I started getting bored
What if I heal myself, I can do that
I went to pull out my stand but suddenly I felt exhausted
Don't tell me I can't cheat my way out of this sickness- I hate life
Suddenly the door opened and Jotaro came in with water and soup
"Eat and drink" He says placing it on the bedside table thingy
Maybe I should get him to feed me? Yes, I'll use the sick card. He'll never suspect a thing
"Jotaro, my arms really hurt can you help me?" I ask
"No" He says walking out
What a di-
He came back in with a mask, gloves and disinfectant
"I don't know what you're planning but I'm not getting sick. Tomorrow I'm going scooba-diving to find dolphins" Jotaro says
You could atleast invite me- oh well
Suddenly I did actually feel my arms get sore.
I was just kidding before, no need to make things worse than they are sickness
I went to grab the spoon. I began eating the soup, my hands were slightly shaky but not too bad to where I'd spill soup on myself or drop the spoon. The soup was warm and good
So glad I married a man who could cook... canned noodles..
"Why don't you heal yourself with your stand?" Jotaro asks
"I tried that already, but it just made me exhausted. Speaking of exhausted, I'm kind of tired so you should cuddle me" I say finishing the soup. I set the bowl down and then drink the water. I set that down after.
"No" He says
"Why not?" I ask
"I'm not getting sick" He says
"Maybe Kakyoin will cuddle me" I mutter grabbing my phone and dialing Kakyoin's number. Jotaro grabbed my phone and set it down
"Jesus christ woman, you're even more annoying when you're sick" Jotaro mutters. My face darkened as I turned to the man
"What was that, dear?" I ask in sweet voice that clearly had malicious intent. Jotaro cleared his throat
"S-So, you want to cuddle...?" He asks
"I thought you'd never ask" I say wrapping my arms around him. He lays down on the bed and I snuggle against him
"Bye bye dolphins" He mutters to himself
"If you get sick... I'll just heal you. You won't miss your dolphins" I say with a smile
"I better not" He says
