Chapter 61 - The CFD Galla

Are you almost ready to go?" Kelly shouts
"Hold on! You can't rush a woman let alone a pregnant one!" Harper shouts
"Come on Harper!" Matt shouts as Harper opens the door
"Ugh! I look huge! How do you feel about going to the Galla with a whale!" Harper says
"You look beautiful now let's go!" Kelly says taking her hand
They then arrive at the Galla and walk in. They walk over to the firehouse 51 table
"You look gorgeous Harper" Boden says
"I look like a whale!" Harper says sitting down
Everyone takes their seats and the ceremony starts. The man talks for a while until Harper gets up
"Where are you going?" Kelly whispers
"The bathroom!" Harper whispers back
Harper isn't really going to the bathroom but Kelly doesn't know that until she appears on stage. Everyone looks at her. The firehouse is shocked
"Hey everyone! So my name is Harper Severide! And you may know me best from being married to the squad 3 Luitenent. But let's put that aside for one night" Harper says smiling
"So I've been working at firehouse 51 for 5 years now. Just 2 years ago I got my Luitenentcy and was Luitenent on squad 3 for a while. I've have worked alongside Matthew Casey and Kelly Severide for a while now. But due to me being pregnant I can't ride on squad for a while" Harper says
"What is she doing!" Matt whispers to gabby
"No clue" gabby whispers back
"Okay so let's do this one by one...Matthew Casey is the Luitenent on truck 81. He always has a smile on his face and never lets anyone down. He is one of the best leaders I've ever met and was one my biggest role models when starting at 51. Kelly Severide is the most understanding Luitenent ever. If you need to go do something he will understand and help you through it. He is not only an amazing Luitenent but he is also and amazing father to our daughter Aria and soon to be our son" Harper says smiling at them both
"So it's my absolute pleasure to announce for the very first time...Captain Kelly Severide and Captain Matthew Casey!" Harper says before everyone cheers
Matt and Kelly make there way up and Kelly gives Harper a kiss and Matt gives her a hug. Harper puts there badges on their suit pockets and she stands to the side. Matt and Kelly stand up at the mic
"Wow Umm I don't know what to say" Casey says
"We would like to thank you very much!" Kelly says
"And that we won't let you all down" Casey says
"A big thank you to Harper for her amazing speech" Kelly says before walking away
They go and sit back down
"That was the biggest secret I've ever had to keep!" Harper says whilst laughing
"Well you kept it pretty well!" Kelly says
"Yeah we had no idea" Casey says smiling
"But you two deserve it! I meant every word that I said up there" Harper says smiling
They dance and eat for the rest of the night until it's time to head home. Harper falls asleep in the car.
"Harper!" Kelly whispers
"Hmm?" Harper says not opening her eyes
"We're home sweetheart" Kelly says
"Okay I'm coming" Harper says getting up
It's the next morning and Harper is out buying things for the baby's nursery. She comes home and Kelly and Matt start to build it. A few hours later and the nursery is done
"Oh my goodness! I love it" Harper says
"Thank you so much for putting it together!" Harper says smiling
"It's no problem!" Matt says
Harper then takes a picture and uploads it to Instagram.
