(Demon Slayer)
It surprised everyone that you had actually stayed at the Butterfly Mansion to let your injuries heal. They had expected for you to leave as soon as you could walk but it was nice to see that you had stuck around.
Considering that you could walk and were bored out of your mind while in bed, you decided to help around the estate. They all protested, saying that you needed to rest but they eventually backed down when you promised you wouldn't do anything strenuous that would reopen your wounds.
"They're going to be mad."
Startled, you jump, dropping the plate of food that you were carrying. You let out a sigh as you stared at the food on the floor.
"And now they're going to be extra mad when they see I spilled the food."
You bend over to pick up the mess but Shinobu stops you.
"As your healer, I can't allow you to do that. You'll reopen your wounds."
"Then who is going to clean it up, Shinobu. The girls already have enough to deal with. I don't want to bother them with my messes."
"I'll take care of it. Go back to your room and I'll bring you a plate of food."
"....can you bring it out by the pond? I'd like to watch the stars tonight."
You couldn't even look at her, too embarrassed about admitting that you still looked at the stars.
"I will. Just be careful. It was raining earlier."

"Do you mind if I join you?"
You hear Shinobu from behind. You turn around to give her a smile.
"I don't mind. It's always nice to eat dinner with company."
Shinobu sets the two plates between the two of you before she takes a seat on the other pillar.
"I think Aoi and the girls are rubbing off on you."
"Don't tell me that you don't eat dinner with them."
"I try but as a Hashira and a healer, it's difficult to sit down with them."
You nod and the two of you began to quietly eat.

Shinobu turned to look at you as you continued telling her about the constellations. She had been paying at the beginning but had gotten distracted by how soothing your voice was.
"...I think it was quite romantic, don't you think?"
"huh? Oh, yes. One of the cutest stories I've heard."
You raise your eyebrow at her, realizing that she hadn't been paying attention.
"Were you paying attention to what I was saying, Shinobu?"
Under your stare, Shinobu began to panic.
"I was! Of course, I was. Why wouldn't I be? Learning about the stars has always been an interest of mine."
"Hmm. So then what are the names of the constellations that I was talking about?"
Shinobu let out a sigh when she realized that there was no way to lie her way out of this.
"I'm sorry. I wasn't paying. I was at first but then I got distracted by your voice."
"My voice?"
"Yes. It was soothing."
You move the plates aside to scoot over to where she was sitting.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm just returning the favor." You move to sit behind her so she was sitting between your legs. You don't even have to make her lay down her head on your chest as had already done it. "Comfortable?"
"Your heart is beating surprisingly quickly."
She whispers to you. It made her wonder if you had been able to hear how fast her heart had been beaten when she saved you.
"Its how yours was when you rescue me."
Shinobu turned to give you an explanation but stopped when she realized you were looking at the stars again. With how close the two of you were, Shinobu could've kissed you if she leaned in just a little.
"The moon is beautiful, isn't it?"
You quickly look down to find yourself a few inches from Shinobu's lips.
"Yes, it is." You whisper to her while looking down at her lips. "Can I kiss you?"
She doesn't answer, simply leans in to kiss you as a response.

Aoi had to cover her mouth to stop herself from letting out a squeal. She had been right all along.
