but subject 13 of hydra's wolf spider project was named after the bright colour that stained her small hands at a young age and the same organization that birthed her.
they had named her red.
a fitting name for the red room's most prized obsession, they knew she would grow into it very well. it was much better than a simple two-digit number anyways. and for the child itself, she was born to be a monster.
she had no family name to keep her tied to her last shred of humanity, no memories of mother or father tucking her into bed to give her comfort in the darkest hours of the night, no warm smiles or kind eyes to remind her that she was human because she had no name, no parents, not a single glimpse of kindness.
project wolf spider was created simply for one reason and one reason alone, and it was not to be an innocent happy child filled with hopes and dreams.
she had been raised from birth to be perfect, a beautiful and talented killing machine that with just one look would be the downfall of whoever dared lay their eyes on her. and to the few survivors who met hydra's newest masterpiece and lived to tell their tale, people labelled them as delusional and insane.
after all, who would believe a grown man was almost killed by a little girl whose eyes glowed a deeper yellow than the sun and had teeth sharper than the most deadliest of wolves?

the amount of times i have rewritten and republished this story is INSANE oh my god. Also listening to mitski while writing this is such a vibe, i love her <3333
anyways welcome back to the fifth? sixth? version of wolf spider, which will hopefully be the final version (or at least until i eventually edit it in the future)
my girl red is finally back i missed her so much and i decided to add some faceclaims to the side characters we see throughout red's time in the red room, and a few of them may or may not appear later on in the series!! so fair warning, don't get attached!!! (or should you???)
ok so first and foremost, let me tell you the trigger warnings for this story. as the first act is featured in the red room, there is going to be A LOT of mature and intense things occurring here, so please be advised. i will include a warning at the beginning of chapters if it is extremely intense though! and if anything here triggers you, please do not continue reading, take care of yourself first always <3
TRIGGER WARNINGS: violence, blood/gore, brainwashing, emotional/physical/mental abuse, child abuse, death, torture, traumatic events, swearing, mentions of human trafficking, cannibalism, sexual assault and post-traumatic stress disorder. anything mentioned in the black widow movie involving the red room and its actions will most likely be mentioned here.

i do not own the red room, anything related to marvel, its cinematic universe or any of its characters. all i own are my ideas and my characters that will appear in this story or in future stories. this story is a combination of my imagination, the marvel cinematic universe and various marvel comics that revolve around the black widow, the red room, natasha romanoff, hydra, bucky barnes and the winter soldier.
also, all of the books in the children of death series will reference or connect with each other at one point or another, but it is unnecessary to read them to understand this story! but i mean hey if the characters seem interesting you could.. idk read the others... haha jk!!!!! unless????
