I sat in the training room alone with Endeavor after a training session. For some reason today he wanted to speak to me alone and not Shoto. This made me a little nervous and suspicious. What could he possibly want.
"Y/n this is very important so listen carefully," Endeavor stood in front of me with his arms crossed and a stern look.
"I'm listening father," I said looking at him.
"I understand the UA sports festival is coming up quickly," I already can tell what is coming," I need you to make your brother look as good as possible so he is noticed. Try and get him to use my side of his quirk. It is vital for him to use both sides of the quirk. I don't expect for you to get that far so if you can try and get other opponents to back off. Do you understand your job?"
"Yes Father I understand," I nodded my head.
"Good you may go now," He dismissed me and I walked out of the room getting ready for training with Bakugo.
I grind my teeth together at the memory. I'm not gonna make myself look worse anymore to make Shoto look better for you father. If I loose it will be my fault and not because of you Father. I dodge out of the way of an explosion jumping high over Bakugo. I landed behind him and I shot flames at him.
He anticipated my move jumping to the side and turning to face me. He shot himself into the air and sped down towards me. I shot flames towards him and he weaved around them. Damn it he's fast. He landed next to me and I jumped away from him. He throws a punch which I use to get under his arm. I lift him up and throw him down in front of me.
As his back hit the ground he wrapped his foot around me leg pulling it forward making me loose my balance and he shot him self forward hooking his arms around me waist. I didn't have time to get myself out of his arms before he got me out of the ring.
I slammed my fist on the ground and yelled," Damn it!"
"Katsuki Bakugo wins and he is going to the final round," Midnight yells and I push myself off the ground.
"Looks like the best one won, flames," Bakugo smirks at me.
"Shut the hell up," I grumble walking off down the hall up to the stadium.
I wanted to show my father that I could win and that I was just as good as Shoto. I stopped in the middle of the hallway seeing Endeavor with his arms crossed glaring at me in disapproval.
"You should have stopped trying a long time ago," He said coming closer leaning over me," You almost ruined Shoto's chances of winning this and having a good future."
I looked away from him," Yeah well I lost so you can be happy that Shoto can have the spotlight now."
He slapped my face," Don't give me that attitude. I'm doing this for his and your own good."
"Whatever," I say walking past him.
"I'll deal with you when we get home," he said as I walked away.
Of course he's mad that I made it this far, because I almost ruined his precious Shoto's chances of winning. I made it over to where the class was sitting and slumped down next to Kirishima. We had a small wait before the last match goes and then we find out who is the top three.
"Hey Y/n you did really good," Kirishima says making me look over," I've never seen anyone fight Bakubro that well."
"Yeah Y/n you looked so cool out there," Midoriya came up behind me.
"Oh thank you guys, but I could have done better," I rubbed both of there heads smiling at them.
I saw Kirishima's face go red and Midoriya laughed," Well I still think you did amazing Y/n."
Midoriya sat down next to me and I leaned on his shoulder. I know Midoriya understands what it's like to not win against Bakugo. He leaned his head on mine and we sat like that until the next match started.
"Hey Y/n who are you gonna root for to win this?," Midoriya asked me in a quiet voice," Your brother or Kacchan."
"Oh I don't know," I said thinking about it," I would be happy for either one of them to win but I honestly would have to go with Boom boom boy."
"Oh I figured you would go with Shoto," Midoriya said surprised.
Honestly I just want Bakugo to win just to see the look on Endeavor's face when another kid beats Shoto. Any other instance she would want Shoto to win. After their conversation they both walked out and the crowd cheered so loudly. Time for the best one to appear.

Well it ended up with Shoto in second and Bakugo in first. I came in third. They called us up one by one. Bakugo wasn't happy about winning the way he did so the put him in chains. He was straining against them but it didn't seem like it was out of anger.
I glanced over in worry and I could see the fear in his eyes and I heard him let out a muffled yell. He seemed like he was thinking about something else and wasn't here. I've suffered through enough panic attacks to notice what was happening. It didn't seem like anyone else noticed what was actually happening.
I reached out my hand trying to grab his arm," Bakugo what's wrong?"
He swung his head towards me and I could see how scared he was. I touched his arm trying to show that I was here for him. I could see the fear disappear from his eyes and he just stared at me. What was happening. They had already given everyone their medal they were just taking forever to finish talking.
They finally after a few other minutes came over to let us leave. My hand never left his arm. They unhooked his hands and he shot them up taking off the mask. I finally let go of his arm.
"Get away from me extras," He said in a growl," or I'll kill you."
He walked off down the hallways. I tried to follow him but Kiri and Denki stopped me from following.
"congratulations Y/n," Denki said excitedly," You to Shoto."
"Uh thanks," I said looking after Bakugo," But could you excuse me.
I ran past them towards where Bakugo went. I want to know what happened. I ran down the hallways trying to find him. I stopped when I heard loud panting and low cursing. I slowly turned the corner and walked up to Bakugo who was sitting with his head in between his legs.
I sat in front of him," hey Katsuki look at me," I lifted his head to look at me.
"Go away Flames," He had tears in his eyes.
"I'm not doing that. Now tell me what happened," I said taking his hand.
"Before the test for UA, when I was still in middle school I got attacked by a sludge monster," He explained slowly," He tried taking over my body by going into it. He was going down my throat and I couldn't breathe. I felt so powerless and scared in that moment. I thought I was going to die."
"I'm so sorry Bakugo," I wiped away the tears that had started spilling over.
"The mask they put on me made it so hard to breathe and along with the handcuffs keeping me from moving just sent me back to that moment," He said slightly leaning into my touch," Half the time it pops into my mind randomly but I can usually get through it."
"It's okay Katsuki," I say moving to sit next to him," I'm here for you always."
"And I'm here for you to Y/n," He said referencing to what he overheard earlier that day," I don't know what you go through in that home but I'm here. We can both be trauma friends."
I laughed at this," Yeah trauma friends."
"Y/n? Where'd you go?" Shoto calls from down the hall," Father wants to leave now."
"Go I'll be okay," Bakugo whispered nudging me forward.
I got up going down the hall," I'm right here Iceman."
"What were you doing?" He asked me as I walked over to him.
"Nothing don't worry about it," I said and we walked out to Endeavor.

This chapter caused me pain to write at the end but I felt the need to put that in there. I saw a tik tok that basically showed how the struggling was similar so I thought might as well put it in the book. I hope you like this chapter though and keep reading.
