Nish arrived at the club around 5:10. She didn't care much about the time, parked her car in the basement and took the elevator to Lou's office which was on the top floor of the 2 storey building.
Nish was impressed with the architecture and the interior of the building it had all the vibes needed to drown oneself into rivers of alcohol.
The elevator stopped with a ding and the door opened. There was a receptionist desk probably Lou's secretary's desk Nish thought to herself.
Ammy greeted her and took her to Lou's office.
Nish was suprised noone asked her name or any information.
As Nish was led by Ammy to Lou's office she couldn't contain her laughter when she enetered the office.
A tall blonde almost 6ft. Dressed in a velvet green suit with a brown scarf and high heel boots which made her look too gigantic for a 5ft Nish. Why does she dress like that? Nish asked herself smiling.
Lou was sitting on her office chair with her back to the office's entrance. She turned around got up and greeted Nish with a handshake.
" Dr. Nish I'm right?" - Lou said in the same Aussie accent.
Nish reallly liked the positive calm aura Lou was radiating with her attractive voice. She now understood how well her personality goes with her outfit and why is she known for her charming character. Yes! Nish did call some of her contacts to know about Lou.
" Nish will be fine....Lou" Nish said after realizing how long she stood there standing still holding Lou's hand, she let go of the contact and brushed her hair.
She was good at hiding her emotions well and prayed dearly to God for not having shown how transfixed she was meeting Lou.
" You look lovely Nish! But really a black formal fit for a club and that too Louise Miller Club? It looks you hate clubs" - Lou said in her cockiest of tones amd smirked while leading Nish to the Balcony where she prepared for the meeting.
"Well thanks you look great as well Ms. Miller . I don't trust club security moreover I am here just to listen to your case so shall we proceed? " Nish said in her professional tone.. not liking Lou's remark on her dress. Tbh she didn't even understand why she cared.
"Oh girl! Just Lou how many times do I tell you"- lou said with a slight chuckle.
" wait what you don't trust our security?!" Lou said half shocked and half dissapointed this is the second time Nish had criticized her and now it was really bothering Lou.
Nish liked the reaction she got out of Lou. She knew her remark was sharp and kinda mean but then who asked Lou to talk to her being so cocky and how dare she criticized her dressing choice.
" It's not just your security Ms. Miller... oh sorry Lou... I don't like the club notions all over L.A. so it's just a personal choice Anyways can I know your case" Nish asked.
Lou by now had decided to change Nish's mind if not for all the clubs in L.A. but for atleast her's.
Lou led Nish to the balcony. And waited for Nish's reaction. Nish for a second was wide eyed seeing the beautiful arrangement. The sea looked pretty in the sunset. The white dinning and the lights made it look so unreal but wasn't it too romantic for a business meeting? Nish thought to herself.
Without giving much of her reaction she walked straight to her chair kept her phone on the table waiting for Lou to follow, who was still standing at the entrance expecting Nish to appreciate her arrangements.
Nish was enjoying this little game. And she wasn't going to lose. she was enjoying challenging Lou's cockiness. But she would lie if she said she wasn't impressed by Lou's effort and also how attractive she was in her own way.. which just made Nish more curious about her.
Lou walked towards her chair and sat in her seat which was put next to Nish's so both can enjoy the seaview.
Lou was facing Nish, leaning on the table sideways with her legs spread wide... Lou did look completely breathtaking and Nish couldn't help but just be mesmerised by Lou. She glanced at the cleavage which was clearly vissible through Lou's vest, adorned with necklaces hanging from Lou's neck. Lou's face looked beautiful in the golden hour of the sunset but Nish had decided not to lose! And definitely not to give in to Lou's charm.
By now she had completely forgotten about thier business and also what the objective of the game was, to not get charmed by Lou or not get impressed by her arrangement? With all these questions going on in Nish's head, her phone's screen lit up with a message from one of her friends who was helping Nish find out about Lou.
' Beware of her charming personality tho she can easliy charm her way to literally anything and eveeything ' Nish blushed on seeing the message because she knew it was the truth.
She cleared her throat and spoke first " So what is the problem with your medical license " the question brought Lou back to reality as well because she was enjoying the company although taken aback on how none of her methods worked on Nish. She really wanted to make an impression on her . By now even Lou was confused as to why Nish's view is so important to her and If she is trynna impress her with herself or her club?
"Okay.. as you see Nish my club is literally one of the reputated franchise.. and unfortunately the medical license I used to open the club has expired"- Lou paused to see Nish's reaction on this but Nish was listening to her without any questions " so I need a medical license max by tomorrow morning " lou completed with a sigh.
" Lou how can the medical license expire it's just been a month since your club was ready and it's just yesterday it got inaugurated? Are you sure there is even a problem? " Nish asked arching her eyebrows.
Now this suprised Lou she didn't expect her to know much about the club rules and expected her to simply sign for her medical license request. Moreover wow did she did a research lou has s slight smirk on her face.
" I see you did your research on me " Lou said with the same smug look, this did made Nish blush slightly yes . Lou didn't seem to notice that and continued ,
"There is a problem actually and it's just that I need a new medical license because the old one is a duplicate and I also need a Dr. Who can keep a check on the medical front. " Lou spoke the truth making sure not to give more information as Nish didn't seem to like her much already.
Nish took a long breath and turned to look at the sea.
Lou couldn't help but stare at Nish's body, her dress hugging her at all the right places , she also noticed the slit , she saw the size of the heels Nish was wearing On this Lou left out a small chuckle on how small Nish looked to her even after that extra addition .. she made a note to comment on it later. Lou looked at Nish's face and how the sun lit it, the red lipstick a perfect matte and the highlighted facial features...
Interrupting Lou from her observation the waiter knocked at the balcony door.
Nish was staring at the sea and was too lost in her thoughts to notice the commotion on the table.
The waiter served them both their drinks, A champagne for Nish amd the usual watered vodka for Lou.
Lou made herself more comfortable on her seat and put one of her legs over the knee of her other leg And took a sip of her vodka continuing to stare at Nish.
Nish spoke just after the waiter left them alone.. Nish's voice interrupted Lou's staring and surprisingly Lou didn't want her to know that she had been staring at her the whole time. This feeling was similar to the time when she would run a con, not to get caught! But in this case it was new for Lou.
" Okay.... I'll help you with the case. I will get your medical license made and delivered by 10 in the morning and also provide you with the doctor's group as you need " Nish at this point didn't even know why was she saying yes but answered herself that it was because of Lou's honesty. Now that was a complete lie!
" Thanks a lot Nish! I am so glad, I really needed this deal and it was only possible with the help of the licence!! So what can I do in return? " lou asked genuinely happy and grateful for Nish's help.
Before Nish could speak anything the waiter knocked again at the balcony door to serve them appetizers which Lou had ordered to be made specially for the meeting.
" Yeah serve in" Lou commanded.
The waiter served them thier appetizers and left.
Nish started eating as soon as her food got served.
" So I guess we should celebrate the deal " Lou said expecting a yes from Nish's side.
" No! I would be leaving now, Told you I don't trust club's security"- Nish deliberately added this line curious what would Lou do next because till now Lou had really done a great job; "moreover it's my day off and I am already here doing a deal with you" Nish said completing her plate and drinking the last sip from her champagne glass.
" I really don't get your security thing don't you trust me?" Lou said with sadness in her voice, she was definitely upset about not making Nish feel safe with her.
Nish could see genuine sadness in Lou's deep blue ocean eyes.
After few seconds of silence Nish spoke trying not to upset Lou more.
" I am... impressed by your club Lou ... and I might trust you... but I don't even know you that well neither do I have any mood of clubbing tonight".
" you might" Lou repeated smirking " so what do you want to know about me to trust me? Lou asked really enjoying the challenge but also because of genuine interest in what would Nish want to know.
" How did you manage to open such a big club with the help of duplicate licence?" Nish asked knowing well that Lou could go to jail because it was a fraud.
" With the help of a friend" Lou answered without elaboration.
" Youu think I'm gonna buy that shit" Nish asked really irritated with such a lame answer.
" excume me" Lou said little startled with the change in endeavor of the beauty in front. She didn't expect this question at the first place moreover she already had made plans on turning the questions in her favor.
" you know it's a fraud right, and i know well it ain't easy to just slip in a duplicate document and the government will believe you. So what actually did you do? " Nish asked in a very stern voice , she wanted a way to trust Lou and know more about her.. and she could only think of this way to make that possible.
Lou was pretty much shocked knowing Nish knows about the fraud also how she managed to do just the opposite of her expectations everytime this made Lou want to know more about her because Nish literally didn't get caught in her lies.
But Lou is a con artist and knows how to make her way and turn situations to yield the most benefits.
" What will I get in return if I tell you the truth?" Lou asked smirking and sitting more confidently on her seat sipping her vodka.
" I will trust you" Nish said smiling slightly. This again started Lou she was expecting Nish to decline helping her But again Nish wanted to know the truth not for the deal but for herself.
Lou noticed the smile on Nish's face and bet a 1000 dollar she looked sooo pretty like that.
Lou stared intensely for few seconds at Nish.
Nish really wanted to pull Lou by her blazer and kiss her but she shook her head to get herself out of these wild thoughts.
She was suprised herself with what was she thinking, she assumed it to be the effect of drinking alcohol on empty stomach. Bringing Nish back to reality Lou spoke " I am a criminal"
Nish was confused but then Lou explained the whole heist story to Nish.
Nish couldn't believe what she just heard.
Lou smirked and drank the last sip of her vodka. Seeing Nish confused for the first time in the meeting Lou really enjoyed it. "So trust me now?" Lou asked winking and also hoping for a yes from Nish.
" yes I guess" Nish replied still trying to process it.
After few minutes of silence Nish collected her phone and handbag and got ready to get up and leave.
Lou held Nish by her hand and stood up.
" where are you going?" lou asked staring at Nish with her deep blue eyes.
" The meeting is over and I am heading home" Nish spoke casually trying to keep her composure while feeling Lou's eyes on her.
" You said you trust me and if you do? I want you to come to my club with me " Lou offered her hand with a silly smile on her face.
Obviously it was hard for Nish to resist so she gave in but refused to hold Lou's hand because she didn't want herself to show how charmed she was by Lou.
They looked at the watch it was 7pm and perfect for clubbing. Lou led Nish and opened the balcony door for her office.
