the warm chocolate hair of the young boy was overwhelming as he pressed himself
to the warm floorboards of the living room
the condo was empty as it was stretched all the way into the sky not even the crickets could be heard
the child's imagination ran wild
as the rain droplets fell from the sky past the grand window disappearing into the clouds below
he was alone in this tower like those fantasy stories he was obsessed with them he tried
reading them himself but it was horrible
the words spun out the page scribbling in the air he
hated it his eyes watering crying out for someone
to console him ever since he could stand up by himself
he was alone holding his father's camera looking throughout the lenses the world became so pretty when he looked out the camera
everything was so pretty after he looked out of the magic box he could see him mother walking through the door
father running quick behind him swooping him in his arms promising to stay forever and ever
yet there he was tears down the small five year old's face sitting by the door waiting for his mother or father to come and save him to no avail muttering the same thing he had for the past hour
"why don't momma and papa love me ?"
