delilah was abruptly disrupted, mid-slumber, by her roommate, valentina.
"god damn it, get up you stupid cracker!" valentina yelled at the girl jokingly. xe placed down the pillow they were violently smacking delilah with, ripping the blanket off her chest and shaking her awake.
"lilah, get the fuck up! we kinda-have to stream in a few hours. you look incredibly ugly right now, by the way." valentina told her, delilah groaning in annoyance but still raising her head off the pillow and sitting up.
delilah walked out of the bright bedroom they slept in, their hair brushing the back of her neck.
valentina looked as if they were about to explode with excitement. delilah looked at xem, her eyebrows furrowed. in one swift motion, valentina grabbed delilah wrist, dragging them into the living room.
"look what came in the mail today!" valentina exclaimed in a sing-song voice.
xe seemed as they were holding something close behind xeir back. delilah let out a small laugh, motioning for the brunette to show what was so special.
behind valentinas back, was of course! just a new plant that xe have been waiting to arrive for the past month or so. nevertheless, delilah acted as if it was the best news she had ever heard for the sake of their best friend.
"shit, really? that's awesome, tina!" delilah responded, she plastered a wide smile on their face, grabbing valentinas wrists in faux excitement.
after a few moments of valentina expressing their excitement, delilah excused herself to go answer a call from their mother.
"mama? what's up?" delilah questioned to her mother. though delilah and her mother were close, they usually didn't receive calls from her.
"can't a woman call her daughter?" bernadette clèments joked. the older woman longed for her daughter to come home. she wholeheartedly supported her daughter's career, but she wished it brought them closer to home.
"alright, alright. how are you?" delilah flopped backwards onto her bed, their head landing softly onto a pillow. delilah and bernadette continued light conversation for a couple minutes, her mother 'letting them go' and saying her goodbyes. after the call ended, delilah sighed; letting out a small laugh after. she leaned to the side, grabbing a bottle of water from the bedside table.
she stood up from her comfortable position on the bed, sitting down in her gaming chair. delilah felt theodores fur brushing against their leg as she filed through long, structured emails.
valentina tipped their head through delilahs door.
"hey, lilah. are you ready?" xe asked, tapping their leg in excitement. delilah nodded happily in return, pulling up a chair for valentina.
delilah quickly pulled up the twitter website, switching from their main to their alt, tweeting out that she was about to be live with valentina.
after a moment of preparing the stream, valentina hit the start stream button. after a minute of silence, viewers began flooding into the chat.
"good afternoon, chat!" delilah greeted with a wide grin on their face. valentina also gave a hello, wrapping xeir arm around delilahs shoulder. delilah fell back a bit, leaning into her bestfriends touch.
delilah did her start-of-stream routine, making valentina stand up with her, showing the chat their outfits for today. delilah also showed off the socks they recently bought, excitement plastered on their features.
they girls both sat down, answering questions the chat asked, brainstorming on what to do.
"mm, how about chat just tells us to do stuff and the other person decides if they should do it or not?" valentina offered. that chat quickly agreed, delilah nodding her head.
"someone in chat asked you to give us an embarrassing childhood story!" valentina said, nudging delilah. delilah thought about her answer for a second, a smile slowly fading onto their face and they thought about old memories.
"uh— i do remember when i was fourteen my bestfriend pushed me into a pond, and then he had to help clean all of the mud and algae off of me. i was crying because i dropped my phone in there!" delilah reminisced with a grin. valentina let out a loud giggle, the chat also finding this ridiculously funny. delilah buried their face in her hands, laughing to herself as well.
"ooh! someone said for you to dm someone asking if they think you're hot.."
"i fuckin' hate you! but fine, i'll do it." valentina said, rolling xeir eyes and pulling out xeir phone.
valentina pulled up a random boys instagram, hitting him up with "hey baby! am i cute enough for u??" . xe groaned in annoyance, clicking send and covering their own eyes.
"valentine, he responded!" delilah exclaimed, laugjing loudly and throwing the phone back over to valentina.
"no! no, no no no. he said 'U so sexy! send?'. what the fuck, lilah!" valentina yelled, acting as if xe were crying.
after a few minutes of doing other dares, there was one that 'stood out.'
"someone said to call your most recent discord contact! they said that i can chose what you say." valentina told delilah with a smile. delilah pulled out her phone, navigating towards discord and cringing at their most recent contact, dream.
"what should i say?" she asked valentine, showing xem the persons contact.
"mm.. i don't know! maybe be like call him and be like 'hey dream! let's go on a minecraft date, and i'll be your discord kitten baby!'. that'd be hilarious." valentina explained. delilah looked at xem, a look of defeat on her face as they clicked the call button and changed the mode to speaker.
"hey, del! what's up?" dream asked as he answered the call. delilah took a quiet breath in, clearing her voice to add an unnecessary uwu girl voice.
"h-hey dweam! wanna go on a minecraft date? i'll be your discord kitten baby. nya!" she said, making their voice go higher to add an effect.
"w-what! delilah? are you alright?" he exclaimed loudly, letting out a wheeze.
she quickly hung up out of embarrassment, throwing their phone onto valentinas laugh as xe doubled over in laughter. that chat exploded, spamming different variations of a laugh.
dream called back, valentina throwing the phone back and delilah putting it back on speaker.
"..hey dream! i'm so sorry for that, my chat and valentine made me do it!" delilah told him, shaking her head in embarrassment.
"i could tell! it was pretty funny though, to be fair. am i on speaker?"
"yeah, the stream can hear you!"
"oh— hi chat! hi, valentina!" dream said, letting out a small giggle. delilah smiled at the sound of her friends voice.
valentina said hi back, allowing dream to talk to the chat and the girls for a bit— soon hanging up.
"i think we can end stream! this was hilariously fun, i really wanna do this again!" delilah told the chat. the brunette next to her agreed, saying quick goodbyes and telling chat that they loved them.
