DELIA'S POV

WAKING UP WAS NOT PLEASANT. I didn't remember a thing. I just peeled open my eyes to see I was in a very large room. It seemed like warehouse.

Where the hell am I?

I went to move my arms but I couldn't. They were handcuffed behind my back. Shit.

That's when it hit me. Ian fucking Doyle took me.

I looked around frantically and didn't see him in sight. This isn't happening. This can't be happening.

"Glad to see you're waking up. We have some matters to discuss, Delia." I heard from behind me. Fuck. I took a deep breath.

"We couldn't do this over coffee?" I muttered and tried to wiggle out of my cuffs. He literally used my own cuffs. "And you used my own cuffs. Classy."

"I see why Emily fell for you. You're beautiful. Charming. She did always have a thing for charm." Ian let out in amusement. He walked around to stand in front of me. I looked up at him with eyes that could kill.

"Don't compare me to yourself." I snapped.

"We share more in common than you think. More than just Emily." He paused. "Tell me Delia, did she tell you everything about her little mission?"

"Everything."

"And you still stayed with her? I'm impressed. That's a lot of dirty laundry." He paused and walked around. I followed his every move. "Well, I suppose we all have our own dirty laundry. How's your father, by the way? I heard he recently paid you a visit."

"It was delightful. Thanks for asking." I let out. He did not like that answer.

He came closer to me and wrapped his hand around my neck tightly. I gasped.

"Do not take me as a fool, Delia. You'll be sadly mistaken." He paused and released his hand. "I'm going to ask you this one time. One single time. If you do not answer me, you will pay the price." He paused once again. "Where is Emily?"

Is he kidding?

"How the hell am I supposed to know that? In case you forgot, I'm here."

"Not the answer I was looking for."

"Well, if I had to guess she's looking for me." I snapped. He's crazy if he thinks I'll tell him where she is. Even if I did know, i'd never tell him. I can take whatever he has in store for me.

He stood there and thought for a moment. "Tell me, Delia. Do you have any tattoos?"

"No." Where is he going with this?

"There's a first for everything then! Except this is a different kind of tattoo." He paused and showed me his wrist to reveal the four leaf clover. I know where this is going. "I think it'd look great on you. What do you think?"

"I'm good, thanks."

"Too bad. Unfortunately, ink is expensive so we're going to use a different method." He replied with a wicked grin. He then approached me and unbuttoned my shirt to reveal my bra. I was mortified.

He grabbed a burning piece of metal. He's going to burn it into me. This is not happening.

"This might hurt." He warned. He then took the metal and dug it right into my chest.

Fuck, it burned.

I yelled and screamed, hoping if I was just loud enough, someone would hear.

This pain lasted forever.

But I refuse to cry. I will not let him see me cry. He does not get that satisfaction.

When he was finished I was breathing hard. It almost felt like I couldn't breathe. He gave me a wicked grin before proceeding to ask the same question.

"Where is she?"

"I don't know." I gritted.

He stuck the piece of metal ever so slightly on my arm, just enough to leave a mark. I winced.

He did it again.

"Where is she?!"

"I don't know!" I shouted.

This time the metal went to my other arm.

"Delia, you don't have to die at her expense."

"If that's what this is about, you can kill me now. I'm not telling you where she is so you can hurt her."

"She's already hurting, Delia. I have the one thing that matters to her displayed right in front of me. Payback's a bitch. She'll come to me." He countered. He's going to kill her if she comes here.

"Then why ask?"

"I wanted to see how loyal you are. You're not gonna make this easy for yourself, Delia." He spoke before walking away.

I racked my brain with everything I knew about him. There's no way i'm talking him down from this. I needed to catch him off guard.

God, I hope Emily isn't doing something stupid about this. I know she's trying to find me but I just hope she does it the right away. A part of me wishes should wouldn't find me. I can't even begin to imagine what he will do to her.

What the hell is the team going to think when I don't show up to work?

Oh, my god. The team.

My bracelet.

I felt around my wrists to make sure he didn't take the bracelet.

He didn't.

Thank god. I maneuvered my hands around to get the bracelet. It wasn't easy. He made these so tight around my wrist.

I finally got a grip and held that button down. This is the only thing that might save her and I. I just had to pray this works.

EMILY'S POV

He took Delia.

He warned me and he fucking took her.

He will kill her. This is the last thing I wanted to happen. I never wanted her to get hurt because of me. I can't let this happen. Not to her. She deserves the world. She's been so patient with me about this whole thing when I know she's been hurting too. She would never show it. She would never tell me how much this was bothering her.

She is the only person in my life that has ever seen me for me. I can't describe how much she means to me.

I refuse to let her get hurt because of me.

I know what I needed to do. I need to end this once and for all.

I started at the bar where is all happened. The bar I met him at. If he took her somewhere, it's Boston. The guy who introduced us was here.

I got right into his car and waited for him. When he tried to start his car and it wouldn't, it was my turn to speak up.

"Battery's dead, Fahey." I said with my gun pointed to his head.

He jumped. "Jeez, Lauren."

"How many men does Doyle have, Jack?"

"Doyle? I haven't seen that guy in a-" He tried. I cocked my gun. "15, maybe 20 guys."

"Any surprises?"

"Just automatic weapons. It's mostly local mob guys. There's a little bit of IRA and- Lauren, how about you do me a favor, huh, you ease up on that gun, okay? I helped you and Clyde back in the day, I can help you now. Do you wanna know where Doyle is?"

"I already do."

"Yeah, but what are you gonna do, huh, take him out on your own?"

"What are you gonna do, tell him?" I asked and shot my gun. Not anywhere to kill him. Wound him a little, maybe.

You don't come near my girl.

3RD PERSON POV

Penelope Garcia was running frantically around the office. A few moments ago, she received an email that just about sent her over the edge.

Penelope,

If you're receiving this, it means something has happened. Emily or I (or both) are in danger. At the bottom of my bottom drawer at my desk, will be a file labeled "Lauren Reynolds". Everything you need is in there. Tell the team. We need help.

- Delia

She knew right then and there, something was wrong. She knew both her and Emily's behavior has been different lately. Off.

She ran to the desk immediately. The file was right where Delia said it would be. When she had it, she ran to Hotch.

"Hotch! Something is terribly wrong with Delia and Emily and- just take a look." She frantically rambled.

He looked at her with uneasy eyes and took the file. When he looked through it, it all made sense.

Emily was an undercover agent in Ian Doyle's case. She was responsible for his arrest. She went by Lauren Reynolds. Mixed with their behavior over the last few weeks, it all seemed to make sense. The girls were constantly on edge, zoning out, late to work...something that's never happened before.

"Doyle has Delia. Emily is trying to find her by herself. Go tell the team. Now!" He ordered.

She ran out to the bullpen where all of the other team members were. They could tell by her face something was wrong.

"Ian Doyle has Delia. Emily knows and she's trying to find her on her own." She blurted. Everyone's eyes widened.

"H-How are they even connected?" Ashley asked.

"Delia had something programmed to send me an email if something went wrong so Doyle has had to have been in this area for a while. Her email said to check a file in her desk and the file said everything. Emily went undercover as Lauren Reynolds to catch Doyle the first time. The relationship got personal but it was the only way she could catch him. He wants revenge so he took Delia to get to her."

"That'll certainly do it." Rossi muttered.

Hotch came and joined us.

"Lauren Reynolds is dead." Spencer muttered.

"What?" Hotch's head snapped around.

"Lauren Reynolds is dead. Prentiss said that on a phone call 17 days ago. But her intonation wasn't surprise or grief. It was like a mantra, like she was reminding herself." Spencer exclaimed. He was mad he didn't catch it sooner.

"If Prentiss is a name on Ian's list, her and Delia are in a lot of danger." Ashley let out.

"That explains their behavior the last month. The secrets, the evasion." Rossi said. All of the pieces fell into place.

"Delia's been twirling her ring like there's no tomorrow." Spencer added.

Hotch took a look in Emily's drawer to see her badge and gun.

"That doesn't make any sense. Why run? We're her family. We can help." Spencer let out. He just couldn't figure out why neither Delia or Emily said anything.

"All they have is each other. They're not close to any relatives. We're as close as they have to a family and Doyle's killing families. He was ready to wipe us out. He took Delia as leverage to get to Prentiss. She's trying to protect her and us. She'd never let Delia get hurt. She's gotta be going out of her mind." Rossi realized. They all knew there was nothing Emily wouldn't do to protect Delia. Her world spins for her. "She's a trained spy. She doesn't want to be found."

"She knows all of our tricks. We don't know any of hers." Derek muttered.

"Alright, then how do we find them?" Garcia let out, panicked.

"Here's how. Ian Doyle is our unsub, Parks and Prentiss are our victims. We profile their behavior and we treat it like any other case." Hotch paused. "Because terrorism isn't an area we specialize in, I've reached out to an expert from the state department. Someone who can also shed light on Prentiss' past since we don't have Delia and help us profile Delia."

"Who?" Spencer asked.

"Her." Hotch said and gestured to the door.

In walked an old team member and friend of everyone. JJ. They all stared at her with hopeful eyes.

"Let's get to work." JJ let out.

This team knew they had to be smart and quick to get both women back alive.

DELIA'S POV

A few hours passed of me sitting in this chair. He was gone the entire time, which scared me. I'd rather have him here torturing me because I know he's not actively looking for Emily.

Then again, he has people for that. But, this is personal.

This guy is so unpredictable.

I know that he's after Emily is for two reasons. She was responsible for putting him away which involved her pretending to be in love with him.

The other reason was his son. He thinks his son was murdered, which isn't true. His son would've been toast if Ian had custody of him. This was done to protect him. She took away his loved one so he took away her loved one.

I know she's going crazy right now. This is the last thing she wanted to happen.

I hate to say it, but I saw this coming. I didn't know when or how. I'm just happy Emily wasn't there when it happened.

I heard the heavy footsteps once again from behind me. Here we go. I braced myself for whatever was about to happen.

He grabbed my hair and and yanked it down so I'd look him in the eye. Amusement apparent on his face, disgust on mine.

"Even if you did know where she was, you'd never tell me."

"You're still on this?" I growled, ignoring the pain from my scalp. He only gripped harder. "You're right. I wouldn't tell you."

He harshly let go and moved in front of me.

"I'm trying to help you, Delia. She's only going to turn her back on you later."

"She won't because she actually loves me. She didn't love you." I spat. In retrospect, I definitely shouldn't have said this. Not while he had all the power.

"That's not what she was saying in my bed." He smirked. I could say so many things right now.

"And I'm sure she faked it every. single. time." I gritted. Next came a harsh slap to the face. Go ahead. I can take it.

After he did that, he saw the grin on my face. I was making him mad. Weak.

"You can hurt me all you want. I can take it. I can take whatever crude comments you want to make about her in an effort to tear me down. I study bastards like you for a living. I know how you think. I know your next move before you even make it. If you think you're the first man to have me handcuffed to a chair, you're sadly mistaken. I knew what I was signing on for when Emily and I got together. Nothing you can say or do will make me think differently of her." I snapped out.

I struck a nerve. But this helped me see how short tempered he was.

"You think this is all about her? You think I took you just to get to her?" He went on.

"No, I don't. I know it's part of the reason but it's not the only. You took me because you think me being with her, is a crime after what she did to you. And you're not going to kill me. Not yet at least. You want me to suffer. You know me being here and her being alone out there is going to eat at me." I replied. I know what he's doing. He's trying to tear me down. It won't work.

"You're one smart cookie, Delia. I'm impressed. Unfortunately, brains isn't going to get you out of this one, darling. I think it's time you take a rest." He sneered and pulled out a syringe.

"No!" I yelled. I don't want to go to sleep. I need to stay awake.

"Sweet dreams." He smiled before injecting the needle into my arm.

Before I knew it, I was asleep.

EMILY'S POV

I had my eye on Doyle now. If he's here, he's not with Delia.

"Pack up this stuff. I want to be out of here in 48 hours." I heard him say to his men.

I think about the time I had him fooled. He wanted to marry me. A part of me will always feel bad for leading him on the way I did.

Later that night, I got a voicemail from Penelope.

"Hey it's me. Hotch asked me to try all your numbers and I have this as an old listing, and you probably don't even use it anymore, but if it is you and you're out there, come home, please. We can find Delia together. God, Emily, what did you think? That we would just let you walk out of our lives? I am so furious at you right now! But then I think about how scared you must be, how you're in some dark place all alone. But you're not alone, okay? You are not alone. We are in that dark place with you, we are waving flashlights and calling your name. So if you can see us, come home. But if you can't then, then you stay alive. Cause we're coming for both of you." Penelope cried.

I was crying too.

All I wanted was to get Delia and go home. I never wanted any of this to happen. Why didn't I just tell them in the beginning?

It's too late. I know what I need to do. I need to bring her home.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when I watched Ian walk out of a bar. I took a deep breath and got my gun ready.

I got right out of my car and and started shooting at his.

He wasn't in this fucking car.

"I only want Doyle. Where's Doyle?" I shouted.

"Right here, love." He said.

Before I could turn around I was on the ground. He had me right where he wanted me. He crouched on the ground to my level. I was coughing. He shot me but I had my vest on.

"Hello, love. Your little girlfriend is one tough cookie. Did you know that?" He whispered.

"Don't you touch her." I coughed out.

"A little late for that." He replied back. I was going to fight but I couldn't.

Next thing I knew, I was out.

DELIA'S POV

Waking up to see Emily tied to a chair in front of me is a sight I will never forget. She was already awake, staring at me with tears in her eyes.

"Emily!" I yelled.

"Delia...I'm so sorry." She let out. All I wanted to do was hold her.

Ian came in the room and went to Emily. He settled his hands at her neck. I tried to struggle out of this chair but I couldn't. This is a nightmare.

"Where's my ring?" He asked.

"I flushed it." She let out nervously.

He chuckled. "I spent 7 years in hell because of that ring." He paused and began to unbutton her shirt like he did mine. Mine was still unbuttoned. "So now, I'm going to give you another gift, one you won't get rid of so easily."

He was going to give her the tattoo. I looked at her through glassy eyes.

"A four leaf clover should be a nice addition to your other tattoos. You still have two, right?" Ian let out.

"Yep. And that's enough ink, thanks." She let out nervously.

"Ink?" He laughed. "North Koreans can't afford ink. No, no. They brand themselves." He let out. She tried to fight him. I was screaming.

"Just stop!" I yelled.

"The more you fight, the more this will hurt." He let out and did it anyway. She was screaming. This was killing me.

"Why are you doing this? Why are you keeping me alive?" Emily muttered.

"We have to give your girlfriend a show, don't we?" Ian replied.

A man came inside. "FBI grabbed Fahey. Their people. It won't be long before he starts squealing and they're banging on our door." He told him. They got my message. They're here. The guy then handed Ian a gun. "Do what you have to do so we get the hell out of here."

"I know what you want." Emily spoke.

"Do you, really?" He asked her.

"You want Lauren Reynolds back. I can do that. I can be her." She muttered. She would never. She's just trying to save me.

"You think that'll save her?"

"I have no illusions. But I'm tired of this. Of being afraid." She cried. I can't watch this.

"We don't have time for this." The man at the door said.

"We'll make time." Ian gritted.

"What about Fahey?"

"I'll take care of Fahey. He smokes, right?" Ian turned to both of us. "Looks like you earned yourselves a reprieve."

With that, he walked out.

"Emily, don't fight him. Whatever he does, I can take it." I cried to her.

"Delia, do you even know how you look right now?" She asked as she scanned over my body. "You're covered in burns and bruises-"

"I'm fine."

"No, you're not." She paused. "I never wanted this to happen to you. I never wanted you to get hurt. I'm supposed to protect you from him."

He came back in with two computers this time. He made us watch them kill Fahey. We saw Rossi and Seaver on the balcony with him.

"Which one's the target?" We heard over the phone. No. No this is not happening.

"No! This is about you and me. That's what you said! You and me!" Emily yelled.

"Then why is your team here? Cause I didn't leave a trail." Ian groaned. Fuck.

"I did it." I said quickly.

"Delia, no-" Emily tried.

"I did it. I told them before I left the office the other day. She didn't do it. Punish me. Not them." I said. I can take it. I just have to keep reminding myself. I can take it.

"Shoot Fahey. If you do, my team has nothing." Emily said.

"Hello, Lauren. Good to see you again." Ian smirked.

We watched them shoot Fahey and Rossi and Seaver duck. Thank god.

He then walked over to me. "Now, what are we going to do with you."

"Doyle, don't you touch her!" Emily yelled.

"I was just trying to protect her. I will always protect her." I replied.

"That's not good enough." Ian let out before socking me in the cheek.

"STOP!" Emily yelled. She was crying.

I just grinned at him. I had to make it seem like he wasn't bothering me.

"You punch like a little girl." I egged him on. If I take his rage, Emily won't have to.

He punched me again. This time in the stomach. I grunted.

He then walked out without a single word.

"Are you okay?" Emily asked frantically.

"I'm fine, Emily. I can take it."

"I know you can. You're strong. So much stronger than me." She cried.

Ian came back in before I could reply. "When Fahey told me you were in the city, he said you already knew where I was. If that's the truth, you know what this is about. Game's over, love. Time for your last confession." Ian let out and held a gun to her head.

"No!" I yelled. She doesn't need to die.

"Take me to where he died. I want to see it." Emily muttered. She's talking about his son. He thinks he died but he's alive.

There was no bullet in the gun. He released it and untied her. Why? Why is he doing this?

He took her away. I yelled and screamed but I was just left there by myself.

I heard her grunting. He was hurting her.

I need to get out of these restraints. I can't stay here. I need to help her.

I kept hearing her screams. It was eating me alive.

I heard Derek come in. His voice was the best sounds i've heard in the last few hours. He saw me first. I have never been happier to see him.

"Get me out of these, now! Emily- she's-"

"I know. I know. I got you." He let out and got me out of the cuffs. Thank god.

We ran to where the screaming was coming from together. Every injury and burn I received didn't slow me down. I have to save Emily. That is the only thing on my mind.

But we were too late.

Ian was gone and Emily was stabbed with a wood board.

"NO!" I screamed. I was screaming and crying. I could barely see through the tears.

I ran to her and got down to her level.

She was barely conscious. She was blinking slowly.

"Emily, don't you dare close you eyes!" I yelled and held her hand. This isn't happening. This can't be happening.

"Delia?" She asked groggily.

"I'm right here. You're gonna be alright." I let out. I was crying. Her eyes began to shut. "Stay with me, baby. Please. I can't do this without you." I cried.

"I love you." She breathed.

"Emily, please. You're too good. You saved Declan. I'm so proud of you. You are the best thing that's ever happened to me." I spit out.

She kept closing her eyes.

"No, Emily. Stay with me! If you can hear me, please squeeze my hand." I let out. She did very softly. "Yes, there you go. Keep squeezing, baby."

Then, I felt her hand go limp and her eyes flutter shut.

"Emily!" I yelled. She didn't move. "EMILY!"

Nothing.

I was screaming. Derek tried to drag me away when the medics came. She was still breathing. But barely.

This can't be happening. She can't be dead. She didn't fight this hard to just die.

I sat at the hospital in my room. Ashley sat with me while the rest waited to hear about Emily. I waited for what felt like forever.

Finally, Hotch, JJ and Penelope came in my room.

They all had tears in their eyes. Their faces said it all. They didn't have to say anything. I already knew.

"No." I shook my head. I couldn't believe it. They still didn't say anything. "No! NO!" I yelled. I was screaming. She can't be dead.

"She never made it off the table." JJ let out, tears in her eyes.

It felt like I was kicked in the stomach. My mouth went wide along with my eyes. I was sobbing. I couldn't form a sentence. Penelope came over to my side and hugged me as tight as she could. I couldn't even wrap my arms around her.

I was numb. How did this happen? How did I let it get this far?

Just like that, my world stopped spinning entirely.
