If there is one thing I never understood about humans it was their excessive need to have their music so loud it makes your insides shake to the point of nausea. But, like many other of their strange habits, I've gotten used to it.

I was squeezing through the gaps between people dancing in one of the busiest night clubs in the city. It's true I don't know the name of it but I was, by this stage, too drunk to care. With a bottle of tequila in one hand, I swung from side to side easily letting my hips sway with the music. Ever since my Descent I've learnt the best way to deal with my troubles is to self-medicate. Ideally not the best decision but that's all I know at the moment, and it seems to work. Alcohol, and caffeine tablets keep me awake and away from guilt and through minimising the amount of time I sleep, I also have less chance to Sleepwalk and do something stupid, say like commit attempted murder.

"Scarlett?" A voice said. I wasn't sure if it was my conscience or if I were hallucinating but I swear I saw Matthew walking towards me. Matthew was also a former Angel and the one who suggest I fall.

"Scarlett Rose," He said in his harmonic voice. "You did it. You actually Fell."

I blinked once then another time in attempt to make my thoughts align. The image of me being too drunk to be able to come up with a comprehendible response must have amused him because he burst into laughter. "The same old, Scarlett," he mused to himself with shake of his head. "So how are you going?"

I was about to answer but my stomach rose. He tilted his head confused by my expression.

"Are you okay?"

"I think I'm going to be sick," I said and in a second we were in an alley way. Matthew held back my hair while I threw up my tequila. It amazed me that he still had he's teleportation powers which made me wonder what others he still possessed.

"I think we need to sit down and have a good long talk, Little sis," He decided looking at my state.
